Welcome to your Morning Cup of Joe, an eye-opener to help Joe’s readers ease into their busy workday with a few football links, wacky news and a pleasant distraction.

Distraction of the Day

Baker Mayfield’s alleged mistress spills the beans on a Cleveland-based radio show. Video style! Man, she looks like she was out all night and went straight from a party to the studio. [Daily Snark]

Citizens of Dunedin: Beware! A Kellen Winslow, Jr. wannabe is loose in your neighborhoods. A backup catcher for the Blue Jays was caught by Pinellas County cops getting busy by himself. No, he was not taking swings in a cage. When cops rolled up to the suspect’s SUV, they found him with his shirt “barely covering his genitals” and sweatpants at his ankles. [TMZ]

How do you take pleasure shooting defenseless dolphins?

  2. Sport Says:

It wouldn’t surprise me a bit if it were disgruntled sport fishing industry type. They hate dolphins. Hope they catch the lost soul soon.

    In BA I Trust!

That’s too bad about Roenick. I expected him to say something bad. Talk about mild. But he did break the ultimate rule: Having an unapproved opinion. And making a mild inoffensive joke.

Tbh I never heard of him tho. For society’s sake I hope he’s said a lot worse and this was just the last straw.

  4. Razor Ramone Says:

Roenick was a terrific player (American) and a good analyst. Has great respect for Hedman and Stamkos in particular. He did some crazy stunts when we hosted all star weekend during Gasparilla, the pirates made him walk the plank into Tampa Bay (no thanks) but no way… you just can’t say stuff like that now.

  5. WinnipegBucsFan Says:

Completely unrealated but I’d personally love to see this website start diving into the draft and free agency more. Everyday post something about a potential free agent we might target at positions of obvious need. Start posting about some potential draft prospects that could be there at 14 or even the top of the second round.

  6. HowToSpellRhonde Says:

    Roenick should run for president.

Will be at the combine in two weeks.

Draft is over two months away. By the time April comes, we all will be sick of the draft. (There’s no good reason the NFL cannot have the draft the first week of April.)
