“Total Implosion”

October 20th, 2013

Former Buccaneer Jorge Diaz saw little silver lining in the Bucs’ performance in Atlanta

“Matty Ice” Ryan was extraordinarily efficient today against the Bucs’ high-paid secondary. Joe’s certain the Falcons’ signal caller hasn’t had many 20-for-26 days in his career like he did this afternoon.

The sackless Bucs barely breathed on Ryan, as Joe noted earlier.

But the Bucs also beat themselves with 11 penalties and stupid mistakes and blunders. Former Bucs guard Jorge Diaz called it a “total implosion” by Tampa Bay on the FOX local postgame.

Yes, it was an implosion, but Joe thinks it’s important to not pretend the Bucs beat themselves. The Falcons were efficient early and dominated the first half with a decimated offense.

These are very sad times.

The Bucs held Atl to 18 yds rusning…and held Gonzalez to 2 catches….something went dreadfully wrong elsewhere….no pressure again from our D-line…no hands in the face…knockdowns, sacks…few hurries….
For the exception of untimely penalties…our offense has played well enough to win the last two games…not great, but good enough. The defense is giving up big plays like last year.

So many mistakes- at such Key moments.

Not a coincidence. It’s a pro football teams way of saying” our Coach is an arrogant jerk, and we want a new one”

They all still say the right things, of course!
But actions speak louder than words. All the team captains seem to have lapses at key moments.

This is what it looks like, when a coach loses his locker room. Everyone doesn’t lie down in the field and quit.
Players just seem to make mistakes at the worst time!
For pros, it’s an easy game to play

How did Monte keep that Eagles offense to three points. Didn’t they score 31 on us last week?

  5. Capt. Tim Says:

They were probably tired, from kicking our ass soooo hard.
    It looked tiring!

With all of the frustration and disgust about all the penalties and undisciplined play, let it not be lost that Glennon had a good day, hit some big plays and played well enough to win

I would take bridgewater but thats it on the qbs in the draft

It was worse than an implosion. I need to look at the play again, but it sure seemed to me that V-Jax took a dive in the 4th quarter when he had a clear path to the end zone. He kept the clock moving and took one more step to getting a new coach.

Bridgewater way overrated. Would be a big mistake. You heard it first right here. Right now aI’d rather have Glennon. There’s no QB that jumps out tome.
