Joe & Derrick Brooks Let Loose

August 28th, 2013

Wednesday afternoon Bucs madness is in full swing on WDAE-AM 620! That’s when Derrick Brooks sits down with the dean of Tampa Bay sports radio, Steve Duemig, to talk all things Bucs and NFL at 4 p.m., followed by Joe bearing his Bucs soul with Duemig for a full hour starting at 5.

It’s all below for your listening enjoyment. Joe further explored the mentality and the reality of the Mike Glennon Mob, the silliness of preseason stats, among many other Bucs topics. Enjoy.

To the guy who went silent when asked if Josh throws 12 td’s, no interceptions, and we go 0-3….by all means Josh is playing lights out….and everything will be on the Sheridan and the D….

I was lamfao at the silence in that one, lol.

  2. Biff Barker Says:

The whole thing was laughable to anyone who understands football.
Duemeg, and now Joe singling out some tool and raising him up as a symbol of the Glennon mob.
The show was a joke Joe.
You let Duemeg vilify any caller who didn’t like Freeman.
“Are you a Buc fan?” Duemeg the bully snorts.
Here’s your answer Steve(s). Yes, that’s why we let Freeman play out as much of his contract before the losing streak starts again. MY team needs a QB who can help carry a team to each win. (Ask Ronde)

  3. Morgan Says:

Def. Mob….. A large disorderly crowd or throng. Again, think you’re misleading your readers/listeners to think there is a large segment of Buc fans wanting Freeman to fail and to start Glennon.

  4. Chef Paul Says:

Every time I hear a caller on that show, I always picture it as a commenter on JBF. Put a voice to the type. Even though there’s a 100% chance I’m wrong, I go with it and I now “know” the voice of a few of you guys.

  5. Buc1987 Says:

    LMFAO silence d*ckweed!

  6. Buc1987 Says:

    Chef Paul …lol me too.

  7. Touchdown Gus Says:

@biff he asked that question because one of them said he wasn’t a bucs fan because they “did him wrong”. It’s a legit question because with some people wanting Freeman to fail, that question has to be asked.

  8. Buc1987 Says:

Biff.. the guy was a Steeler fan. I think it was a great show. The first guy had no answer and just went silent. So he was called out for his ignorance. Kind of the same stuff that happens on JBF.

  9. Touchdown Gus Says:

@biff cont. if you don’t think Freeman can do that’s your opinion it doesn’t make you any less of a fan of Freeman. The people who hope Freeman fails and get benched are some of the people who call the show and they obviously don’t have this teams best interest in mind. If Freeman fails, so do the bucs and none of us who are fans of the bucs would be ok with that

  10. Touchdown Gus Says:

“Doesnt make you less of a bucs fan”*

  11. Buc1987 Says:

What if Trevor Scott turns out to be a gem? Wow what a find. Thank Bill Belichick if that happens.

  12. Joe Says:

You let Duemeg vilify any caller who didn’t like Freeman.

    Uuummm… it’s Duemig’s show; not Joe’s.

  13. PRBucFan Says:

Has nothing to do with stats and everything to do with execution.

  14. PRBucFan Says:

And you can throw all the “what it’s” you want out there, it’s easy to play that game lol. Let’s see him do that first, than we can discuss “what then”

If he’s playing well and it’s evident and we still lose, well than it would be evident that it’s not on Free would it not be?

Therefore you address whatever the problem may be.

But before we even go there let’s wait for that to happen first 😉

  15. BigSombrero Says:

Joe, I am not in panic mode myself but if you don’t understand how losing to the Jets is a pretty damning scenario, you’re either blind or in denial. Would the coaching staff be 86’d on the spot? No, but if we lose that game it would be the best bet in town to assume that we are in for an awful season. Spin it however you want but we cannot afford to lose to a team like the Jets. Just the honest no bs truth their.

  16. Morgan Says:

“Fast-tracking Glennon was the idea of coach Greg Schiano, who said he won’t hesitate to go with a first-year player should Freeman falter or become injured.”…….quote from Rick Stroud’s latest article on Glennon. Maybe there’s more to Glennon than JBF/Deumig cares to admit.

  17. Touchdown Gus Says:

@big sombrero the jets are a mess, but we all have to remember that team had the second best pass defense in the league last year. It’s the NFL any team can beat any team on any given Sunday. The bucs are the favorites but that doesn’t mean that the Jets come out and play the best football of their lives and beat the bucs. It could sprial into more wins, it could ignite the fuse to a winning streak. No way to tell until it happens
