Listen To The Bucs

July 31st, 2013

Of course, Joe’s good friends at WDAE-AM 620 were with Joe at Bucs practice today and there is all sorts of audio Bucs fans will want to listen to.

Of course, there is Greg Schiano’s daily presser. Heralded undrafted free agent corner Rashaan Melvin talked about getting to the NFL to chase his dream. Vincent Jackson explained how much better the Bucs offense should be this season. Wide receiver Tiquan Underwood discusses the battle for the No. 3 receiver slot. And, Bucs quarterback Josh Freeman talks more about the Bucs offense as well.

I know this is probably irrelevant now but the itch for some football got the best of me. I just got done watching the bucs vs cowgirls game on youtube and wanted to share some of what I saw.

Offense- timid play calling, poor execution, and miscommunication from EVERYBODY on offense is what did us in. when you still havent called a passing play longer than 20 yards and your down by two possessions late in the game, then theres something seriously wrong with the play calling. Im going to put the loss on the offensive coordinator in this one. and just to show you that this loss was not solely on Freeman ill use a quote from someone who knows a little bit about the QB position. super bowl winning, hall of fame QB Troy Aikman said, and I quote, ” Mark Dominic is probably going to go get himself 3 new wide receivers after this one is over, nobody is getting open.” was Freeman great? no, but neither was anybody else on offense.

Defense- the defense did one hell of a job. they only gave up 16 points, and 10 of those points came when the cowboys where starting close to their own 30 yard line. we got 1 pick, 4 sacks, and a defensive touchdown that should not have been called back. Bennett was an absolute MONSTER so I hope the bucs knew what they were doing when they let him walk. really the front seven as a whole played great. it was fun to watch us play such an aggressive style of defense and I hope to see more of that this upcoming season.

to sum it all up, anybody blaming Freeman for this loss should just stop watching football because you dont know what the hell you are talking about.
