Joe Tells All With The Big Dog On WDAE

July 31st, 2013

It’s Joe’s new Wednesday evening tradition; Joe joined the dean of Tampa Bay sports radio, Steve Duemig, at 5 p.m. to talk all things Bucs for an hour.

As you can imagine, Joe and The Big Dog hit on all kinds of Bucs subjects and took fan calls. Enjoy the podcasts below. (Ignore the very minor microphone glitch to start Part I.)

I thought that was an interesting show. You might have been a little harsh on Adam Hayward, and Teo. Even though they were not the best players (starters) at their positions last year, they both filled in admirably. In fact I thought they played above expectations for career backups. I know your question was, “name one special thing Adam Hayward did last year”, and I will counter, in lieu of the fact that they are backups, name one specific thing they screwed up. The fact is they did their jobs to the best of their abilities, even though it wasn’t memorable. Now, do we expect either to claim a starting job this year? No, but they are invaluable as backups and special teamers.

3 Questions, I don’t care who answers them Joe or anyone else, just give me your input. Because I don’t get it. What is all this concern about Williams as a punt returner? Why do people act like PR’s are just sitting ducks? How many PR’s actually get injured as a result of punt returning?

loung even without the broken english you are a very confused individual.

loung says : hey give him the chance
I say : give WHO a chance loung who? you have to atleast mention a name?

Oh hell I just heard some BS from Steve that made me stop the entire segment. “It’s, it’s a little scary when you look at this division.” Joe quickly agreed. Why do we as fans have to always take this cowardly lion approach when it comes to our division? Why Joe why? Call it homerism, call it what you want I don’t care. Not ONE team in our division SCARES me as of right now. Not one. Sean Payton this and Carolina top 10 defense that. Give me an effing break already. MY Bucs are going to win the South this year. Mark it the ef down. Call it over-confidence if you like. I don’t care. Like loung I personally think Schiano is the type of coach that can work with a bunch of no names and make them great. So if this player gets injured or that player gets injured. Big deal. He did a helluva job as a rookie coach last year learning as he went along. Players got hurt and they adapted just fine despite the finishing record. “It’s, it’s a little scary when you look at this division.” OMG stop it already with this doom and gloom. You people don’t know what doom and gloom looks like if your saying crap like “It’s, it’s a little scary when you look at this division.” Damn it all I’m right about this, and I will soon be proven so. I hate to act like this, but I can’t take it anymore. I’m chomping at the bit to make people like Steve Duemig look wrong. I’m saving this rant, so I can send it to Steve at the end of the season. “It’s, it’s a little scary when you look at this division.” It’s time for the rest of the division to look at MY team and say it’s a little scary when you look at the Bucs. The time is 2013. Just watch and learn homeboys, watch and learn.

and Joe I know my paragraph was long in response to this radio segment and kind of harsh on Steve, but please post it on here for all to read. Filter it if you want to, take the STFU out of it if you like. Just post it cause you know I’m right to a point.

Thanks for taking the STFU out for me that was a little harsh.
