“I Haven’t Decided Yet”

July 24th, 2013

Will Darrelle Revis, aka The Boy Wonder, play during the preseason?

“I haven’t decided yet,” Greg Schiano said late this morning at One Buc Palace.

This is intriguing. Can Revis really be ready to jump into opening day after all that time off?

Tanard Jackson pulled it off two years ago, though that seemed to be the only good game he played.

Schaino went on to say Revis is healthy and will participate in training camp tomorrow as part of a specific schedule tailored to getting him ready for Week 1.

I believe if he is able….he will play…but very, very little. He needs some action against opposing teams. I will guarantee you that he would like to play.

He’ll definitely suit up, maybe only play in the 2nd and 3rd games.

Preseason will be all about Banks and Leonard Johnson fighting for the 2nd CB. Johnson had his rookie moments, but he also put together some real good tape.

Revis won’t play till day one. why risk it…

Listen he’ll get his reps in before the regular season. The Bucs have a lot riding on him and want to make sure they can get him to the opening game. He may not be beaten, battered, and hardened like some of you would like to see but at least Revis at 85% is still better than all of our other corners at full strength. He can use the regular season to finish honing his already elite skill set. I’m not complaining. I want him healthy also.

Poor poor Sanchez. I hope the Jets fans are not too hard on him after week 1, because it won’t be all his fault. It will be a fully healthy revamped Bucs D that is going to make him look even worse than he ever has. Go Bucs!

Bet he plays game 3 pre season and does enough to show he’s ready for week one. Can’t wait!

What if Sanchez burns him for 6?
