Bucs Open 2013 In Jersey Against Jets

April 18th, 2013

darrelle revis 0313The Bucs, with or without Darrelle Revis, will head to the armpit of the nation to play the Jets on opening day, according to USA Today.

The full schedule will be released by the NFL at 8 p.m.

What a circus it will be if Revis is wearing pewter and red, or what a glorious thing it would be if Vincent Jackson torches Revis in green.

This morning, Joe floated a theory that the schedule —  and the TV schedule — of the Bucs-Jets game might be a window into the likelihood of a Revis-to-Bucs deal. If the Jets and Bucs are playing at night on opening weekend, then it sure would smell like the powerful TV suits know something the masses don’t.

Carlos Rogers-Is the only corner back on that team that’s worth being mentioned as an above average corner. And for some odd reason he’s being mentioned as a potential June 1st cut. Couple years back he was a free agent steal.

But the rest are ok (Please review the round they were drafted)

(Tramaine Brock) UDFA-Brock was signed by the San Francisco 49ers as an undrafted free agent following the 2010 NFL Draft. He was released on September 15 and re-signed to the team’s practice squad. He was promoted to the active roster on September 20.He was waived on October 12 and re-signed to the team’s practice squad. He was promoted to the active roster on October 27, 2010.

*THE 49ER’S FRONT 7 SEVEN IS THE KEY TO THAT DEFENSE

Imagine if the trade doesn’t go through. The Bucs run Martin all first half with third down conversion going to Williams, a TE or 3rd WR. Jackson is stranded on “Revis Island”. The Bucs are still down by 10 points on the road. The 4th quarter starts and Jackson makes Revis look like Champ Bailey and puts up 75+ yards & 2 TDs as the Bucs pull out a win in the 4th quarter.

    I can dream:)

Ummm…Ok guy..Champ Bailey is one of the greatest corners that has ever lived. He has one bad half (torrey smith didnt catch a pass the second half) and now all of a sudden he’s a punk? Super. Next time if you want to prove a point by using an example of a crap corner, you have plenty to choose from on the Bucs roster..

    Ideally to me:

They get Revis with a mid and late rounder and NEXT years 1st rounder.
They use the first 3 picks this year and (in no particular order) get a D-Lineman, CB, TE

Whoever Reavis is playing for, he will be targeted early and often, if he’s starting game ONE of the season!
