    the Bucs select Dee Milliner

  2. Adam Says:

….. knowing Dominick, he’ll trade up and take a strong safety to pair with Barron.

  3. the_buc_realist Says:

wow, so far the rock star has finished 4th, 3rd, 4th and 4th in the division. when will the consistency of failure stop!

  4. mark2001 Says:

Hit CB’s hard in Free Agency hard and a pass rusher, Jennings if available for slot receiver, a CB in the draft, TE, and best players available.

  5. Killian Says:

2 CBs (Rhodes/Banks/Milliner/Trufant), 1 S (Elam, Williams), 1 TE (Fauria), a DT or DE, a MLB and if Sheridan is fired, bring back Monte Kiffin. Schiano has already admitted to being a Kiffin fan, so make it happen. For anyone that says he is too old, check out Dick over there in Pittsburgh.

  6. Killian Says:

wow, so far the rock star has finished 4th, 3rd, 4th and 4th in the division. when will the consistency of failure stop!

This is what happens when you use old ass scab players for years and years coupled with terrible drafts. Dominick has done really well so far, with a couple of busts, but every team has those. This offseason should be our make or break offseason for him. All we really need is secondary help and we win 4-5 of the games that we lost this year.

  7. Ian's Gay Lisp & Ron's Drinking Problem Says:

Dee Milliner will be GONE (Lions or Titans). Trade down late 1st Rd and take DT Kawaan Short or DT Shariff Floyd. 2nd Rd…take one of many good CB’s available. Trade up late Rd 2 and take RT D.J. Fluker……Boom….3 great starters! !!!!!!!! Excellent OLB’s still available with next pick. (no need to grab 2 CB’s b/c we get 1 or 2 in Free Agency with EXPERIENCE)

  8. ctord Says:

Agree with killian. this started with Chucky. Look at the Raiders and what he help them do. They have been bad for years now. Thankfully, Dom did not let him complete his goal. We are truning a corner. Believe people.

  9. Macabee Says:

Rich draft for our positions of need so a mid round pick is okay. Not superstitious, but another pick may have stopped some of the small talk if we don’t pick a pro bowler the first year.

I wouldn’t put too much stock into player rankings for top ten until after the Senior Bowl and NFL combine. Right now, the Bucs have as good a chance as anybody of getting the players they want.

  10. Tampa2 Says:

Milliner will be gone. If so, I say grab best player available. Tyler Eifert maybe? Great blocking TE and insanely athletic. I know CB, and RT is a larger need but CB may be addressed in FA (crossing fingers it’s Sean Smith.) But a great TE can drastically improve an offense.

  11. BucfaninMi Says:

i agree w/mark2001. Dom has to go for Jennings in the slot!!

  12. the_buc_realist Says:

    @ctord

so its the coach fault, that went 9-7 twice in his last 2 years. once made playoffs (remember those) while resting players for 2 last games. then went 9-7 but collapsed because the long time D-coordinator took another job and went on recruiting trips during the week while the secondary coach tried to take over the D-coordinator responsibilties. How long does it take to rebuild a franchise. If you ask the Rock Star I guess the answer is 7-8 years!

  13. Morgan Says:

Lucky 13. Won’t be surprised to see MD move up/down. 2012 was a good start to the Schiano Era. Looking for several more moves to get better (coaching, FA, draft). Already looking forward to the 2013 season. Good to see the Dolphins, Niners, and a couple of other teams on the schedule.

  14. buccanay Says:

Obviously, CB is #1 priority, BUT, I think it very important we get a FS to pair up with Barron, who IMO, has been playin out of position all year. Barron is a natural SS who’s been forced to play more FS due to Barber inability to play CF. Barber’s been a //HELLUVA Buc for many years, but IMO Shiano’s tried to mask Barbers defieiencies at Barrons expense. We need a true ball-hawkin FS so Barron can play his natural SS. I do think the year of experience with Barber has been good for Barron, but he needs to be playin in the box, instead of CF….could never understand this thinking. a true FS will make more of difference than people think in our pass D.

  15. Eric Says:

Offseason feel good championship dead ahead.

  16. Ian's Gay Lisp & Ron's Drinking Problem Says:

Greg Jennings will get big money. We need to address other needs first

  17. Snook Says:

Finishing tied at 7-9 and being last is actually a good thing. Its nice to be picking right in front of Carolina and New Orleans. I don’t mind finishing behind Carolina considering we swept them this season.

  18. teacherman777 Says:

    Exciting draft possibilities!!

    Remember,

Some late round risks are needed! 4th and 5th

Tyranne Mathieu, Denard Robinson, Marcus Lattimore, etc…..

I love the idea of a FS at the top of the second, because we should try to pair Barron with a true centerfielder. But it seems the draft has more SS’s than FS’s.

Millner will NOT get past the Lions. And sadly, I doubt that Manti Teo will fall to us. I would love him to come to Tampa. And slide Mason to SLB…but Im dreamin…

We need to go best player availabke at 13 or trade down. We just have too many needs. CB, FS, LB, pass rusher, oline depth,

Quincy Black could be gone, Eric Wright probably is gone, Roy Miller and Bennet are FA’s who could get lured away. And Ronde may not return.

So alot of our draft depends on what these guys do!

Personally? Id jump at Khaseem Greene. He and David would give us some of the fastest, baddest LB duos in the NFL. They are like twins in size, speed, and heart. Now imagine, nickle packages with just David and Greene on the field? They are soooooo fast, they are like 2 extra Strong safeties. I really think at our boitzing SCREWED us this year! It never worked!!! Ok great, we stopped the run all year, but we need to stop blitzing so much with guys who cant blitz! I want us to become more conservative next year on thrid down.

And Greene and David on the field together woukd give us a GREAT nickle package and TWO sideline to sideline SPEED demons on the field!

    Whatchu think?

  19. Deminion Says:

    Xavier Rhodes!!!’

  20. BIG SIR Says:

I hope we arent truly expecting Greg Jennings to come here and olay slot. He is a #1 WR and will want to be paid that way.

  21. mark2001 Says:

Ian…we have big money. And receivers like he is would make Matt Flynn look like a nearly Pro Bowl QB, and would be a huge upgrade at the position. Would you rather have a proven talent like Jennings for the money or a guy like Eric Wright? If Stocker could step up, the O would be potentially as good as any in the league.

Then everything else could be directed towards the Defense. And you are talking three or four guys away from a top 5 team in the league…should it come together.

  22. mark2001 Says:

Jennings isn’t a #1 receiver on an excellent team. He isn’t better than Nelson or Cobb. And he is best in the slot. He is among the next group and GB has a few guys at about that level….that is why he will be gone. He is probably on the same level as Williams and will be well paid….now someone really hurting at WR and a ton of cap might pay him like VJ. But we will see how that plays out. I think it is well worth exploring.

  23. Ian's Gay Lisp & Ron's Drinking Problem Says:

@Mark2001. …I’d love a guy like Jennings at the right price. If he’s on this team, I’ll jump for JOY!!!! I’d rather use the cash for DT, DE, CB, FS, RT, RB, TE, OLB (all that money goes FAST plus we gotta give Freeman, Williams, Roy Miller, Bennett new contracts soon)

  24. MadMax Says:

Johnthan Banks if there, if not, then trade down.

Some good 2nd, 3rd, and 4th round prospects:

    CB Desmond Trufant

CB Logan Ryan (Rutgers, you know the coach will probably push for him)

    DT Chris Jones

    FS DJ Swearinger

    WR/QB/RB Denard Robinson

    TE Travis Kelce

    FB Shawne Alston

  25. st. louis Bucs fan Says:

what about takin Ryan Logan CB out of Rutgers who just opt’d to go pro, hes rated 3rd best CB comin out, trade up in the 2nd round to get him and take Banks in the first. 2 of the 3 best CB’s in this draft would be Bucs. BUC IT IM OUT!!!!

  26. Ian's Gay Lisp & Ron's Drinking Problem Says:

Why do you guys want 2 ROOKIES starting at CB??????????????????????

  27. @eric Says:

Before we do anything get Lovie and Rod back here to help the defense then aggressively address our secondary coaches and players.

  28. SilenceTheCritics Says:

I think you all need to relax with the FS idea. Ahmad Black will be very good taking over for Ronde (f he retires). I don’t think Safety is a need at this point. We need another LB, preferably one who can rush the passer, and a corner (maybe 2) before we draft another safety.

  29. MadMax Says:

@Ian, Im saying if we dont address CB very well during FA, at least get one. We need so much help at that position, it couldnt hurt….thats for sure.

  30. jarrett Says:

    mingo

  31. Ian's Gay Lisp & Ron's Drinking Problem Says:

@MadMax. …..in that case, yes! But Mark D. would look bad if he can’t bring in a Free AgentCB with all that cash available. Leaders on defense won’t be too happy either

  32. MadMax Says:

    I agree.

  33. nate Says:

You guys are crazy move up and draft GENO SMITH! look at what one great quarterback can do to a franchise lets see hmm the colts are in the playoffs so are the seahawks and the Colts who only had 2 wins.. A Real QB will push this team over the edge!

  34. SilenceTheCritics Says:

I have a feeling this years 1st round pick will be somewhat of a shocker like it was last year. A good pick but probably not who we will be expecting it to be. Dom seems to love to make a splash in the 2nd round so that’ll be the round I’m looking forward to.

  35. @thetaylorprice Says:

    1. Best Player Available 2. CB David Amerson 3. LB Arthur Brown 4. CB/KR/PR Tyann Mathieu 4. FB/HB Lonnie Pryor

  36. 76buc76 Says:

Sign DRC we need a steady vet as #1 corner.I thought Bigger’s played great yesterday.DRC a rookie Bigger’s Johnson.A CB/FS would be a good idea. They will draft a QB project late as well.Roy Millar will sign for cheap Bennett not so much.Might have to let him walk somebody will give him 8mil per.Maybe we can trade for Trent Cole since the Eagles will be blown up.If not Cole they have a lot of quality DL men to target. If you go to a yardsale and the people are moving out at the same time.Offer way way less than the sticker price lol

  37. PRBucFan Says:

Milliner should be our pick. The Lions will not pass up on the BPA at their spot you must be nuts if you think they’ll take Milliner over names like Jarvis Jones( a poor mans Von Miller) or Damontre Moore or Werner. Not only that they have Bill Bently from 2012 waiting to take on a starting job.

The Titans at 10 will be our concern at taking Milliner but I think a trade up with them would be simple enough for Dom to ensure us Milliner as they would no doubt be able to take Jonathan Banks at 13. UNLESS we stay put which we will then have to choose between D. Jordan an amazing pass rush prospect, Jonathan Jenkins to make a dominating duo with Gerald, or who most people think we should take Banks.

Or Dee Milliner could simply drop to Us.

Some people even have Manti Teo falling to us. If that crazy scenario happens we have to take him. What a monstrous LB Corpse we would have lol.

  38. Bobby Says:

@nate…..I’d have to question who’s crazy….. You don’t move up in the draft to take a QB when you have the worst pass defense in the league and nearly in league history. I blame 4 losses directly on the pass defense. Come from behind wins that never should have happened. Redskins, Philly, Falcons, Giants…all games we should have won if we have a pass defense. That would have given us an 11 win season. Even an average Freeman will be fine if we improve our defense. We are the 13th ranked scoring offense and less than 1 point away from being in the top 10.

  39. Mike Martin Says:

If we beat the panthers twice, and have same 7-9 record, how can we pick ahead of them?

  40. PRBucFan Says:

Because they have a weaker schedule

  41. Not an idiot Says:

way too early to tell draft picks. Combine will be the definitive factor, no need pulling guesses out the butt now.

  42. lurker Says:

    PRBucFan Said:
“What a monstrous LB Corpse we would have lol.”

lmao that was 2011. 2012 was the cb’s. let us hope we don’t have cadavers on defense either way.

manti te’o would be awesome. but i do not see him falling that far, especially without someone jumping up to get him.

  43. PRBucFan Says:

    Corps*

Yea, it’s a far fetched scenario

  44. PRBucFan Says:

    Oops not
Johnathan Jenkins I meant Hankins lol

  48. MadMax Says:

Watching Mingo tear it up tonight. I really like him. But he’ll be gone by pick #13

  49. Nate Says:

@ Bobby and how about all those picks he threw? Lets see the best teams in the AFC are the broncos and patriots they have hmm payton manning and Tom Brady… Hmm must be there great pass defense.. UHH NO look at RG3 he beat us.. Russel Wilson is a stud so is Andrew Luck.. RG3 was the best thing the redskins have done since they won the superbowl!

  50. Bobby Says:

Yeah….and when we won the superbowl it was because we had Brad Johnson??? If we have a good enough defense Freeman will be fine.

  51. Nate Says:

Bobby your making excuses for a bad QB.. The old bucs with the new rules wouldnt have won the superbowl.. Its a quarterback driven league now…

  52. PRBucFan Says:

I disagree strongly with that statement, the old Bucs defense is one of the best to step on the field and would most assuredly win now.

Also I disagree that BJ didn’t play a part in winning the Super Bowl.
BJ and the offense turned it one once the playoffs started and lit people up. Although the Superbowl itself was full of defensive TDs BJ did in fact play a major part in us winning the Super Bowl that season.
