Here Comes The No-Huddle

November 30th, 2012

Some interesting stuff in this CBS Sports Bucs-Broncos breakdown by former NFL coach and front office executve Pat Kirwan.

Kirwan talks about how the Broncos will go no-huddle to start the game in order to avoid slow starts that have plagued them.

Also, Kirwan thinks the Bucs’ ground game won’t be dominant, thanks to the successful return of linebacker D.J. Williams, and the Bucs will struggle against the Broncos’ pass rush.

Kirwan’s prediction, however, might surprise you.

    And that was surprising…how exactly?

  2. RCH Says:

Your right I’m very surprised its suppose to be

    Bucs 28

    Broncos 24

If for whatever reason I’m wrong (such as the sky is falling or something) I’m pretty confident we can run the table after this week and finish 10-6

Joe, interested to know what exactly was surprising about that video. Seems to be in line with what most people have been saying

I would like to go with BUCS in this one but everything lays out perfectly for the Broncos. Their strength is our weakness it seems. They are just too good of a football team. They are probably one of the best if not the best in the league. Add to that the fact we are playing on the road and the likelihood of us winning is very low. The only wildcard I think could be DaQuann Bowers. He has quietly been playing very good in the limited number of snaps he gets. If he can play the whole game and get pressure on Peyton we could be in business. Anything can happen a couple of picks, a fumble or two and a good game by Josh and the Dougernaut and we could win it.

    GO BUCS !!!!

It would be nice to come away with a win here. We dont need another close loss.

    We need a WIN.

I dont care how many yards Peyton Manning gets as long as we score more points. I dont think the Broncos are unbeatable and with the way the NSO has this team playing I think we are ripe for an upset.

    Go Bucs!

  6. Bucpride Says:

I have no idea how the Bucs will hold Denver under 30 points? I’d love for them to win, I just can’t see it happening. After seeing Matt Ryan, Drew Brees and Eli complete passes at will against the Bucs defense I just can’t see how one of the greatest QB’s of all time I won’t have a field day.

Then watching the Saints v Falcons game last night where, pressure was applied to Ryan, and he actually thru incompletions. Peyton vs the Bucs defense will be like 7 on 7 drills. I hope I’m wrong but I feel this will be the first blowout loss of the Schiano era.

  7. Stanglassman Says:

The surprise Joe was referring to was that Josh and the Bucs have a more potent passing attack. This will be a true test for the bucs. I hope they generate some pass rush to help out their secondary and travel their early to get used to the altitude otherwise it may get ugly.

  8. bucfanjeff Says:

Maybe we match up better than we think.

  9. canadianbuc Says:

You know the last couple of weeks we have been getting a lot of national attention with a lot of experts picking us to win. Like last week if any of you check espn expert picks more guys picked us to win the the falcons. This week nobody has us winning and i think that could possibly be a good thing, bring us back to earth and maybe just maybe we could shock everybody this week.

  10. BigMacAttack Says:

I think the Broncos should be favored based on their personnel and stats, but the Bucs are due for a big game and good offensive showing. I think the Bucs have a good shot at an upset, especially after seeing what the Falcons did to the Immortal Drew Brees last night. Anyone can be stopped with the right game plan and execution.

Don’t see us winning this one but hope I’m wrong. Will probably be our first double digit loss. Again….I REALLY hope I’m wrong but Denver has won 6 in a row and they are at home and we would somehow have to come up with a ferocious pass rush or hope our corners turn into Champ Bailey by Sunday. Could happen but probably won’t. I’ll still be pulling for the Bucs as always.

  12. fridgebob Says:

This is ‘surprising’ just like all last year Joe said ‘hear what Cosmic Schein has to say about the bucs this week’ even though he rarely ever said anything at all.

  13. RastMon Says:

Gotta have the ball…..to go no huddle….biggest win come Sunday for “The Fighting Schanio’s”

  14. Vico Says:

We don’t need our CB to turn into Champ Bailey… we need #20 to play CB… he’s the only one left from that Monday Night game against Manning and the Colts…

  15. 76buc76 Says:

The Buc’s will focus on the pass not the run this week. They tryed it last week early and the Falcon’s ran it down our throught.Stopping the run is the way to go except this game.Make Moreno and Hillman beat you.Trouble is when we rush 4 we never get to the QB.When we send 6 we never get to the QB but we minus well send em cause if we drop 7 into coverage the QB has all day to find the void. That’s why we are the best against the run our LB are around the line of scrimage or blitzing more than most team’s

  16. william Says:

76buc76, you are not watching the game if you think the LB’s are playing mostly at the line of scrimmage.

  17. william Says:

Ran it down our throught? Turner had 17 yards rushing and rodgers had 40.
