Bucs Add Running Back, Two Super Bowl RingsSeptember 1st, 2012
The plot got a lot thicker at running back this afternoon as the Bucs signed running back D.J. Ware, who was cut from the New York Giants yesterday.
Ware was with the Giants since 2007, in a backup role. He played in every game last season and is also known for his special teams play.
Clearly Mike Sullivan gave the green light to jump all over Ware, 27, who likely has that Schiano-Coughlin work ethic down pat.
Of course, he might not stick, but Joe would be very pleased to have a veteran back around LeGarrette Blount, Doug Martin and Michael Smith, if Smith hangs on.
