You Can’t “Live Soft And Fight Hard”

Warren Sapp gushes over the methods of the New Schiano Order

In this Man Channel video (aka NFL Network video), Bucs icon Warren Sapp and Kurt Warner debate the way Greg Schiano is running the Bucs with an iron hand.

But there really is no debate, both future Hall of Famers love the New Schiano Order approach. Sapp gets particularly animated in his support for the Schiano way.

“You can not walk into a football organization and live soft and fight hard,” Sapp says.

Sapp went on to say the lines for the Bucs players are “clearly drawn on the floor. So when they do throw you those bones, they really react to you like, ‘Fellas, hey we going to pull it back today. Oh, coach. Ok, coach with us right now.’ You have to set it stern and then pull it back. Because if you go in soft, it’s over.”

Listening to Sapp, Joe thought back to how the Bucs reacted as if they just won a playoff game after Donald Penn caught a punt during minicamp, a challenge from Greg Schiano. Penn’s reward was the Bucs ending practice early.

Joe wonders what will be the next “bone” Schiano will toss his team.

Let’s not act like all of you identified the soft incompetence of the prior rahdom regime.

Sapp also said Gerald can’t live soft and fight hard.

The next bone should be parker catching a punt. And I can not wait till we play the panthers, that’s when we see if we are playing hard or living soft.

I love this site and joe but I hate coming to my sanctuary and seeing that pos traitor in chief with his ugly face and his fat butt wench’s face plastered all over. I can’t wait until that effing pos is gone. I ready enjoyed the game last night.

I agree with Sapp on this one. From day one you have to let your players know where you are coming from and what they cam expect. That’s why no one responded to Morris when he tried to get tough during the ten game losing streak. Remember when he sent Brian Price to the locker room for a personal foul penalty? Everyone, including the players, thought that was laughable

Sapp has a big mouth. No denying. Remember though, that Sapp, Brooks, Lynch, Alstott, etc. brought a winning attitude that never existed at any level in the Bucs history. I tend to agree with a lot of what Sapp says, because in the end, he craved winning on the field. He is absolutely correct in that clip.

The next Chuck Noll wasn’t tough?

I just got back from the Tilted Kilt webpage, looking at the calendar girls!
I like Sapp, but he is a stark contrast to the Tilted Kilt Girls.
