Kareem Continues His Dream

August 5th, 2012

Update 12:40 p.m.: The NFL can be brutal. Huggins was cut this afternoon.

The driving force” of the 2009 Buccaneers (in case you forgot, that was Kareem Huggins) is now a member of Bill Belicheat’s New England Patriots. Huggins was signed yesterday.

What a battler this Huggins kid is. He was out of football undrafted in 2008, then caught on with the Bucs in 2009, and is now coming back from a horrific knee injury in 2010, following another season out of football in 2011. Huggins had worked out with teams last fall but didn’t catch on.

It says a lot for him that Belicheat sees him as a possibility, even if he doesn’t make the Pats roster. Joe wishes Huggins well.

Good luck to Huggins. I always liked him and think he would of made a dam good RB if it werent for the injury.

Joe is right, the NFL can be ******* brutal at times, especially in this situation. Thought Huggins never lived up to his potential with us, I guess he wont be getting a chance to do that with the Pats, hope he gets another chance to prove himself

This is the point in a baller’s life where he finds out he should have been hitting the books in college. Not sure if Huggins degreed or not but for his sake I hope he did.

antonio bryant released by seattle seahawks.

i know even joe wanted him in 2010 but what has he done since not being resigned? just another “veteran” that many claim should not have been let go by dominick that hasn’t done anything of significance since leaving our team.
