$30 Season Tickets Still Available

June 22nd, 2012

Joe feels for the many Bucs fans that have to endure blacked out games.

Sure, there are unlawful Internet streams, blackout tours, tape delays, NFL Game Rewind, and the radio to satisfy fans. But for most, nothing compares to sitting at the local Hooters or on the family couch watching a Bucs home game in HD with a remote in hand to catch other games when the Bucs trail by four touchdowns go to a commercial break. This is especially gratifying when you can’t afford to go to a Bucs game, or physically handle what going to a game entails.

Joe is often asked what effects the New Schiano Order and the Bucs’ dive into free agency are having on ticket sales. And while Joe doesn’t have a definitive answer, Joe points to $30-per-game season tickets ($15 for kids), and $35-per-game season tickets still being available for sale.

That’s not a hopeful sign for those hoping blackouts fade away, especially considering how far prices have dropped for some season tickets and the various food and parking discounts the Bucs now offer.

Yeah, the economy in the area remains poor, but it still saddens Joe that the Bucs haven’t yet sold their fabulously priced tickets. Click the link above to see what’s available throughout the stadium.

Joe has no doubt Bucs attendance will improve in 2012, but Joe’s not seeing that translating into fewer blackouts. There’s no London “home” game or home night game this season, so the Bucs might actually have less of a television presence.

Being a fortunate season ticket holder, I will type this…..
If you can afford to go, or if you have to adjust recreation money to do it (avoid the clubs in the fall, less movies?), it’s worth it.

There is nothing like an NFL game on a Sunday afternoon. When the Buccaneers run on to the field and the crowd is into it? Fantastic! Being there for special moments, too many to list, sharing it with thousands of like minded enthusiastic fanatics? A joy I recommend if it’s at all possible. Get in now and move to even better seats as you get older and can afford it. You will not regret it.

    Can’t WAIT!!!

if I spring for season tix do ya think the Glazer Boyz will lemme hitch a ride on the G5 each sunday from Palm Beach.

  3. MVPFreeman Says:

COMMON PEOPLE!!! WHATS THE EXCUSE NOW?????

  4. Bucnjim Says:

The whole Buccaneer organization has done a complete overhaul of the marketing strategy and customer service. Just did the One Buc tour this week and the hospitality is everywhere. I’m not sure who they hired, but the entire attitude towards the season ticket holders has changed for the better. I’m glad they made the change because in this economy there is a lot of competition for the entertainment dollar.

  5. Dini's Biceps Says:

I think only 2 games will be Blacked Out: Chiefs & Rams

  6. PWNASAURUS Says:

Sorry ass Fairweather front running fan base. I know I’ll be there rain or shine.

  7. Bucnjim Says:

    PWNASAURUS,

You have to understand that it’s not just here; it’s just about every small market NFL team in the league. If you’re in fantasy football and watch other games then you know teams like the Jag’s, Titans, Rams, Dolphins, Vikings, and even the Chargers are having the exact same problems filling their stadiums as the Bucs. The Bucs have done a great job of making it affordable again and I’m getting my seats back in 312. Now if they can improve even a little the sellouts will return as well.

  8. SilenceTheCritics Says:

I never been to a Bucs game before but now that Im back home in Tampa, I’ll deinately be going to a few. The Bucs NEED us to sell out the stadium. Dont ever underestimate the 12th man.. It can make all the difference, specially lately when visiting fans out number us in the stadium… GO BUCS!!

  9. BigMacAttack Says:

Yes the Economy is getting worse again, but fear not Buc Fans it is about to turn around, pending the outcome in November. There are Billions of dollars of private money ready to be released for major projects, including new manufacturing sectors. It will not begin to happen until after the Election, and a new Pro-Business regime takes over the govt. The money will flow at a record pace. You may have noticed that many cheap properties have been gobbled up over the last few months. This is all in preparation for the next boom. The Uber-Rcih have been sitting on their money for too long now and are ready to start earning again. With a few changes to the tax code, EPA regulations, and banking restrictions, all hell could break loose. This is why the President is so frustrated, because he knows all this, but refuses to see that he is the problem. He has had numerous secret meetings recently trying to make this happen before the election, but it will not. See, all these people that put him there in 08′, he stabbed in the back. Sure he took care of his closest friends with Stimulus, but he hammered the vest majority of private investors. Now he is begging for their help again, but the answer is a resounding “NO, he has to go”.

  10. Garv Says:

Bucinjim mentioned the One Buc tour. We went in early May and were very impressed. Met Coach Schiano and was treated incredibly well by the entire staff there. My new ticket agent is always helpful too.

Do it, you won’t regret it.

    Can’t WAIT!!!

  11. Vince Says:

I’ll give the Glazers their due in that they’ve responded with great ticket deals. In all seriousness, it’s helped me realize I’m a cheap SOB. My buddy got one of those 10 month payment plans on $35 tickets. I guess I’m just not as hardcore as I think I am. …Real talk.

  12. The Dutcher Journal (Pete Dutcher) Says:

    BigMacAttack,
If the Republicans win in November, what we’ll see is mass outsourcing of the few jobs left. Or have you not looked into Romney’s checkered past? Doesn’t matter…Barack is a powerhouse that cannot lose. He’s got a 60+% approval rating at the moment…the lowest he’s gotten is 53%.

And the lower income liberal voters do not show up in the polls. They show up at the voting booth.

    ON TOPIC
I just found out I’m getting two surgeries in the coming months that will prevent me from attending ANY games. Looks like I’m doing the Rewind thing this year.

  13. stevek Says:

    Pete,

Good luck in your surgeries, and god bless.

Also, Romney is a flip flopper and a power hungry rich guy. He needs to pay more taxes.

People are suffering out there, and the rich just want to get richer. Live within your means.

  14. Garv Says:

I suppose this is a waste of keyboard typing but……….

Please, please, PLEASE let’s not bring politics to this place. NOBODY here is capable of changing my or anyone else’s mind. Do your thing at the voting booth and leave the campaigning to other sites…….please, please, PLEASE!!!

    The Buccaneers in 2012?

    Can’t WAIT!!!!

  15. flmike Says:

    Thx Garv, totally agree.

  16. DerrickBrooks4President Says:

Sorry. I will never get season tickets again. After holding them for 18 years I know that you can pick up tickets for EVERY game at the corner of Himes and Tampa Bay. I refuse to pay for games I don’t want to see like Houston, Tennessee, Cleveland et al (not to mention pre-season games). I will go to the ones I want and screw the silver spoon boys and their monthly payment for their kickball team. They can prove they are in it to win it for about 5 more seasons before I would even consider it. Too many years of scrimping on payroll and coaching for me to give up my hard earned money (that I pay taxes on, unlike them) for me to get contractually obligated to these misers. If their dad magically reappears then I will change my tune. Maybe.

  17. BigMacAttack Says:

Pete, I hate to break it to you, but Romney is just doing what he’s told and he will be the next President. It has already been decided and it has nothing to do with the voters. Pete, have you noticed how all of the Pres’s big donors have abandoned ship, with the exception of Hollywood. He will be outspent by the GOP by about 5 or 6 to 1. Jobs figures are going down each month. Wall Street is vacillating. Scandals are piling up. You can not govern from the left or the right, you have to do it from the middle, and he won’t do it. He’s done, he knows it, and he is mighty P.O.’d about it. This election isn’t about Politics, it’s about money. The Money always wins, but the good thing for the people is money drives business, and it has been stifled long enough. It’s really too bad Hillary wasn’t the choice, because just like her husband, she would have done the right thing for business to thrive, and the hardhead up there now just would not listen. Put your money on Clinton, she’ll be back in 4 years to surf the crest of the wave.

  18. BigMacAttack Says:

Sorry, but I’m not sorry, because the economy affects ticket sales.

  19. lightningbuc Says:

    Pete “pass the” Dutchy:

Obama at 60% approval????!!! Are you serious? Please refer me to that poll!

  20. BucFan20 Says:

This is a BUCS site. Take the political crap some place else!!

  21. OBAMA_SUCKS! Says:

    Point taken BucFan20

  22. BucFan20 Says:

    @PWNASAURUS
Before you start calling fans “Sorry ass” you might at least consider in your little brain those of us with a physical handicap that CAN’T GO!!

  23. BigMacAttack Says:

BF20, I’m sorry that you can’t go to the games. That does suck with the blackouts and all, but I don’t think PAWN was referring to individuals with physical challenges as much as the masses. If you do get a chance to go to a game and need help getting around the stadium, I’d be more than willing to help you, since I’m always there too, rain or shine. If you are in a chair, the HC seats at Raymond James are the absolute best viewing you can get and easily accessible. There are always plenty available and I believe prices are some of the best too.

  24. BucFan20 Says:

Thanks BigMac but I can’t be out in the sun very long that is the handicap on top of that I have epilepsy too. But I really do appreciate the offer.

  25. Have A Nice Day Says:

Wow. I go to ESPN and get a group of NFCS commentors talking about how they invaded/trolled the AFCN blog. Then I come here, and get people arguing about political polls and presidents.

    Lord, if you’re listening, HEEEEELP!!!!

  26. lightningbuc Says:

    Have a Nice Day,

Does the Lord play for the Bucs or are you now talking about religion?

  27. OAR Says:

I think J.C. plays for the Bucs? I yelled at him enough during every game last year!

  28. Have A Nice Day Says:

    @OAR Ha! Awesome.

  29. lightningbuc Says:

    OAR,

Now that’s funny! I think he coached them last year too – that’s where most of my J.C. calls were directed.

  30. Colorado Buc Says:

It cost me more to get a ticket for Bucs@Denver than it would cost to see every game if I was still in Florida, and on my Anniversary no less. December 2, the Bucs come to Denver and I will be there to watch them trash Peyton! Kind of wish they were trashing Tebow. It costs less than the NFL Ticket for christs sake. If you live near Tampa spring for the $30 a game tickets and support your team. This fan is tired of seeing empty seats, put some ass in them! I’m pretty sure you can spare $30 a week, quit going to Starbucks, put down your foofoo latte, get your tickets and sneak in some BEER!!!

  31. Stanglassman Says:

I knew the congress was blocking all the jobs bills and the wealthy were sitting on trillions but I didn’t know that the Republicans voters were admitting that they were tanking the economy on purpose in order to win an election. How selfish and un-American is that? We have already tried it the W. Bush/Romney way and we are still trying to recover from it.
I know this is the only source you all will trust GOPTV.

Thanks for you opinion Strangeassman. But this is not a political site.
    Weird screen name though.

    The Buccaneers in 2012?

    Can’t WAIT!!!

  33. Stanglassman Says:

I was just chiming in to the other a half dozen political opinions, Gayrave. Welcome to this site and being a Bucs fan.

  34. SeminoleSam Says:

Great comeback by Garv and a better follow by Stan!!

  35. Garv Says:
