Bucs Following Super Bowl Formula

September 11th, 2011

Let’s ease the panic here a bit.

In his postgame news conference, Josh Freeman just talked about how Ronde Barber told the team after the game about how the 2002 Super Bowl winning Buccaneers lost their home opener in overtime to the New Orleans Saints.

So all’s good.

The Bucs are on the same path as their championship brethren.

Oh boy, Joe. You must really want Thomas to comment more.

  2. Architek Says:

They must be delirious from the heat and dehydration. They got whooped on both sides of the ball. I have been crying for more speed on offense and it showed again because Detroit squated on every route and no one has the speed to make them pay, WR nor RB. Bucs will get better and compete but far from a heavy wight contender. They cannot keep up with them…

  3. Mr. Lucky Says:

Don’t insult the memory of the 2002 team by coming this 2011 team to them.

    Rhonde you should be ashamed.

  4. Hawaiian Buc Says:

    Mr. Lucky,

What would you prefer Ronde did, tell them the season is over? Come on man, you are smarter than that.

Yes we played bad. There is no excuse. We have a lot of work to do. I am sincerely worried. But I sure as hell don’t want the team to give up or not believe in themselves. I’m sure you don’t either.

  5. nick Says:

Mr. Lucky, Can you at least spell Ronde correctly? Guys been hear 14 years

  6. Hawaiian Buc Says:

I never understand why so many Buc fans make that spelling mistake. Am I missing something?

  7. Eric Says:

    or the 76 team…………

  8. Mr. Lucky Says:

No I don’t expect Ronde to ‘give up’ but I would expect some more ownership of this loss. Don’t say, ‘we’ll just get better’ or ‘the fans don’t support us’.

Do a Tim Tebow, tell the fans you will work harder than any other team to prepare and outplay the other teams!

  9. Hawaiian Buc Says:

    @Mr. Lucky,

How do you know he isn’t taking ownership. This is a conversation he had with the team, not the media. I don’t see anywhere where he said the fans don’t support us. Not sure what you are getting at.

  10. Espo Says:

The man’s name is RONDE! Screw up a rookie’s name if you must.
