Can This Guy Afford Bucs Tickets?

June 8th, 2011

Who says the Bucs don’t get national media attention?

Why even the queen of financial yentas, Suze Orman, took on the prospect of determining whether some dude with a fat wallet should buy a pair of Bucs season tickets for $2,995 the other day on CNBC. Here’s the video below.

Well, I am 56 years old, and I don’t make 9,000 dollars a month like this 37 year old does. My living expenses are not what his are either, I own my truck, and owe less on my house.
I love Tampa Football, I just can’t afford to spend nearly 3,000.00 right now on Seasons Tickets. Even if I could, I think it is a rip off.

All this did is make me feel like a tool becuase I am 2 years older, make more money, and I dont have as much in my 4okk or 85k in savings…wtf???

  3. Mauha Deeb Says:

I haven’t paid $3,000 in my life for NFL tickets, parking, merchandise combined. I hope I never do. I love fottball to death, but being at the game is just not as important as, lets say, $3,000.

  4. Keith Says:

I don’t feel poor, but come opening day I’ll probably have $300 in savings outside of my 401K that I’m way too scared to touch. Don’t want to be an old guy working at Publix or an usher at the Trop.

You can still find the $20 ticket outside if you try hard enough.

  5. mikeck Says:

Well if I had $85k in savings I would do it…Sounds like good seats

  6. Espo Says:

    That lady scares me…

He should just buy individual tickets… or not sit at the 50 yard line

  7. lisabucsfan1 Says:

actually that price is for club 3, not club 1. so he’ll be sitting high & near or in the end zone. What he doesn’t realize is that he’s going to have to put up the same amount of money in a seat deposit that he won’t see for at least 5 years.

  8. Espo Says:

I need to be in the North End Zone with the cannons blowing out my ear drums. Anything else just isn’t the same.

  9. Pete I Says:

Well I used to pay $3000 for 4 tickets in the 300’s on the west side 30 yard line. That became to much. Then the Bucs lowered the price of my type of seats and instituted youth tickets. My 4 $3000 seats became 4 seats for $1800. And I moved to the 45 yard line. – still in the 300’s.

$3000 for 2 seats ! I wouldn’t even give it the time of day. Even for Club seats.

  10. Hawaiian Buc Says:

I’m just amazed that his house was $275K. In Hawaii, $275K gets you a small townhouse (maybe).
