Dominik Can’t “Ever Have Enough Cornerbacks”

April 21st, 2011

Corrected post:

Speaking at his Tuesday news conference, Mark Dominik said with a straight face that cornerbacks are on his radar.

“I have a fundamental belief I stole from the Jets,” Dominik said. “I don’t think you can ever have enough cornerbacks.”

Whew, the smokescreens are thick around Tampa.

Code for replacing Talib?

I’d love another 10+ year stud at CB jus like Ronde Barber.

    I can dream…can’t I!?!

Will be a sad day to see #20 go.

Dominik – “You have to take the draft as it comes to you and take advantage of the player that you feel can best fit your football team short-term and long-term. That won’t change regardless of a specific event or a specific person.”

I’m not sure how this was said or maybe I’m taking it out of context, but couldn’t it also be code for keeping Talib?

  6. espo Says:

I don’t think this is code for anything. He said what he meant and it makes sense. Corners are versatile and can play several roles on special teams. I wouldn’t look too far into it.
