Cameron Jordan Talks Bucs, Raheem

April 13th, 2011

First, let Joe say that he tries to avoid exposing himself to all the hype surrounding draft picks. Joe’s been around too long and been let down too many times. Let’s see a guy play in the NFL.

But Joe admits he did get sucked into this highlight reel of defensive end Cameron Jordan. Joe found it on the Chicago Bears website. Joe particularly liked Jordan playing without his helmet, and not in the way Antonio Cromartie does.

NFL Draft guru Justin “The Commish” Pawlowski talked to Jordan about all things draft recently, including his pre-draft experience with the Bucs. Fun stuff. And all part of the exlusive draft coverage on JoeBucsFan.com.

seems like a bright young kid with great demeanor, exactly what we are looking for.

I like him. I don’t know if he’ll fall to us though. I have a good feeling as far as his transition to the NFL though.

He seems able to handle 4-3 as well.

I like the way he carries himself through this interview… I’d love for him to come to the Bucs more than I would like Kerrigan

Am i the only person that thinks this guy is not a dominate pass rusher in the nfl. he had back to back years with 6 sacks including one 2 sack game against WASHINGTON STATE. all i hear is he power and strength will serve him best in the NFL but if he cant produce big in college how will he produce against an NFL OT

Bescause he wasnt asked to RUSH the passer in college .. Just like Kyle Moore … They did the dirty work .. How has Kyle Moore blossomed as an NFL player by the way ??

Cam Jordan is ok .. But if they draft him expect the 4-3 to become used maybe 20-28% of plays

I’m sorry, but it makes absolutely no sense to me to draft a LDE/5-Tech with a 1st round pick. The Bucs are still going to run a 4-3 as their base defense even if they do continue messing around with that abortion of a 3-4 as their 3rd down sub-package. Until they have the players in place to operate out of their base defense they shouldn’t be using 1st round picks on players for sub-packages.
This team lacks pass rush badly, Cam Jordan does not fix that problem IMO. They absolutely can not leave this draft without aquiring a top notch pass rusher and if that means packaging some picks together to move up and grab a guy like Robert Quinn, then so be it.
