Blount’s Good

March 2nd, 2011

Bucs running back LeGarrette Blount talks in this BSPN video about his rookie year with the Bucs, who on the team influenced him and how he has cash socked away to weather the upcoming NFL labor storm. Joe thinks it’s cool that Blount is also ready for baseball season, but the Pirates? Who knew that Blount was a Lyle Overbay fan? Can’t someone get Blount some Hellboy threads or perhaps Dirtbag gear? A David Price jersey maybe?

    @Joe

    Did I hear that right? Did he say he was a Free Agent?

  2. KD Says:

    Blount is probably just a Wiz Khalifa fan. Lots of kids wear Pittsburgh hats just because Wiz Khalifa always does. No need to panic lol.

    You can see that Legarrett is really a nice person, unless u mess with him. His smile says to me he is pleased he is making people in Tampa happy with his performance. This desire to please people with his athletic performance will make him a top running back for Tampa for years to come.

    I think, he said undrafted free agent. Although, I’m not sure how many years his contract is/was for?

  5. Snook Says:

    He signed for 2 years. Restricted free agent after 2011. Slated to make $405,000 in 2011. All according to Rotoworld.

    You’ll have to translate that for Joe. Remember, Joe’s originally from the cornfields of Illinois. 🙂 (And when Joe means cornfields, he means cornfields. Joe only needed to walk six blocks from his home to step into a cornfield.)

    Even Josh Freeman learned to be careful wearing Royals gear around town. Royals gear!

    Thanks for the info!

  8. KD Says:

    LOL I apologize Joe. I thought about that while I was posting, but decided to let it go. Wiz Khalifa is a very popular (yet somewhat untalented) rapper today. I doubt LeGarrette has any allegiance whatsoever to the city of Pittsburgh.

    Comedian Patrice O’Neal has a bit he does on hats — long and the short of it is that, in urban fashion, choice of hat has little to do with the team or city and more to do with color coordinating with the rest of the outfit.
