So Where Are The Bucs Today?

October 3rd, 2010

Those who have watched Raheem Morris news conferences have seen the head coach do his Aqib Talib impression many times.

However, Joe knows many of his readers have never heard Talib himself speak. Joe can’t find an analogy to describe Talib’s voice, although he probably has a future in cartoons.

In this Buccaneers.com video, Elbert Mack grabs a microphone and asks some Bucs, including Talib, what their plans are for the bye weekend.

    One thing I have noticed about quite a few Buccaneers from listening to total access is that most of these guys speak well (accents aside). I heard someone say that Cadillac Williams doesn’t seem too smart because he can’t speak, but I disagree. I have cousins from Louisiana and that is how people speak with that accent. None of these guys sounds “uneducated” to me. Now Byron Leftwich is another story. last year, I cringed when he said things like, “We don’t got nobody who made no plays.”

    I don’t get it. I don’t find anything wrong with Talib’s voice.

    I thought the By-week was time to work on football related stuff, fix fine tune schemes and prepare for opponents down the road. Guess its vacation time/party time for the Bucs.

    @Paul,

    All teams use the bye week to get away for a few days. Doesn’t mean they don’t work on stuff.

    You guys did not see the original, unedited video, did you ?
    Aquib Talib said he was going to Dallas, to hunt some “fresh cab driver head” to smack.
    It seems the lower Humidity in Dallas vs Tampa makes any head emit a louder POP when smacked.
    Seriously, these guys work hard, I hope they all enjoy themselves. I was surprised that Cadillac Williams of Auburn would not root against Alabama vs Florida. I am surprised Joe does not have anything posted about that game ?

  6. Jesse Says:

    Lol, thats exactly what I assumed he’d sound like.

    sorry pete, but everyone has different standards….and please don’t be offended but you might not be to versed in language or something because when caddy opens his mouth he spews out all kinds of busted up sentences, wrong word placement, and a generally uneducated speak….and thats giving him the benefit of the doubt that he has that louisiana style of speak…..listen to ronde, ruud, or faine…..they speak a lot better……..adam from ny
