OK, Joe’s always looking to improve. So he’s going to try an experiment for weekdays during the season. If people loathe it, Joe will stop. If people like it, Joe will strive to continue.

Joe will attempt to start each weekday with some eye candy and news of the weird in order to wake up the masses. Call it “Morning Cup of Joe.”

Don’t worry, Bucs news forthcoming.

The Nina-flavored eye candy is good…The eBaum’s video was pretty wild. First reaction is that it has to be fake…but nothing surprises me anymore I guess.

By the way, I really like the “Morning Cup of Joe” idea so you can put a check mark in your proverbial “Yes” column.

The response to “Morning Cup Of Joe” has been overwelmingly positive. Now if Joe can find the consistent time to do it between this three jobs.

    I like it.

Joe, I can’t find anywhere else to say this, so here goes.

I was listening to Joe Miller and Rich Gannon on Sirus yesterday and it sounded to me like neither had ever seen the Bucs play a game. I then looked at your pick this morning and felt the same way after reading your(?) comments. We have a defense regardless of who is QBing. Yes, JJ only had a 50% last year, but that is not what he is doing this year. Plus we have some receivers finally. Where am I going with this, we are not going to lose by 3 points, I don’t think we are going to lose at all. And I must add, Jake had a great line and receivers at Carolina, he doesn’t now.

    What say you?

    OB:

While Gannon has a bit of a chip on his shoulder about the Bucs, Joe is really trying to be objective to see what bright spots there are for the Bucs this year. Aside from the defensive backfield and offensive line, this team has major holes and question marks.

Is McCoy and Price and upgrade on the defensive line? Two years from now no question. Rookie defensive tackles struggle. This is well-documented. Without a push up front, well, that’s not good no matter who is playing in the secondary.

Offensively, the time to stop using the offensive line as a crutch has come. Marshall Faulk himself on NFL Network last week exposed this fallacy. Joe has been writing for months how the Bucs running backs are mediocre. Then you have a quarterback who has yet to play a full season and had a grand total of eight attempts in the preseason and has a bum thumb. Joe does not like what that adds up to. Currently, until Mike Williams blows up in a regular season game, the Bucs best receiver is the third-best tight end in the NFC South who is a borderline cripple.

Two or three years from now will the Bucs be good? Likely. In 2010? (Sigh). It’s going to be a long, long season.

Joe…Your above post makes a lot of sense, and it is very logical. It also make me sad, and I still think we are going to win…of course I always thing the Bucs are going to win, no matter what.

I think Nina has become my favorate cheerleader! Keep the pics coming.
