Stylez Promises 10+ Sacks

September 7th, 2010

Some players guarantee victories. It seems Bucs defensive end Stylez White guarantees sacks, so Twittered Tampa Tribune NFL scribe eye-RAH! Kaufman today.

Apparently at practice today, White talked about hitting a big sack number.

Ira: Bucs DE Stylez G. White is promising his first double-digit sack season. He starts off in difficult style facing Browns LT Joe Thomas.

White is entering is first NFL season as a starter. He only grabbed that role here after Gaines Adams was traded last season. Joe has long written that White would be poised to hit 10 sacks this season, since he’s grabbed 19 1/2 sacks over the last three seasons in limited action, and now he’s starter in what is a contract year for him.

That said. Joe got a laugh out of the sacks promise. You don’t see/hear that every day.

So what happened in preseason, Stylez? Joe knows the answer. Those game are just practice.

I predict 0 sacks for Stylez in game one so he better get to work in those next 15!

  2. tampa2ali Says:

got get em stylez. its time to get back to that old bucc football.

  3. Gatorbuc15 Says:

I think that Stylez can get ten sacks this season, but I think that he’ll end up with around 7 or 8.

  4. KJ Says:

I’m surprised Stylez G. didn’t release that statement through his publicist. Does he really care about winning? Or just goofy names and stats and not practicing?

  5. RastaMon Says:

    What buffoonery….
    not since Mark Gastineau….

  6. Sebring Smitty Says:

@ RastaMon,, was that a Shot Dr. quote ??

  7. RastaMon Says:

I don’t know about shot dr.

he was outrageous but over his career delivered….

This lame has got to get his act together enough with the small talk. Tackle somebody and keep your yap shut like 10 saks makes you someone to boast about little ass elvis dumervil had 17 sacks last year and he is as quiet as a church mouse. act like you have been there teen wolf

  9. FIRE GREG OLSON! Says:

Will the Beast, great comment. My thoughts exactly.

  10. Capt.Tim Says:

I hope he’s right! I really do. Buuut, ussually it takes great practice to make plays- so that’s not who Slacker G White is! Sooo, here’s my prediction. 6 sacks, with Stylez confused and making excuses. His shot at big money going up in a big , lazy puff of smoke. Then I see the Bucs drafting a DE with their first pick next year, and our buddy Stylez getting cut. Flash foward two years, Stylez is working at the Car wash, telling his co-workers he dominated the NFL, but got Cut because of “politics”! Dude!! If you aren’t gonna work hard for the Chance in he NFL, what would you work hard for???

  11. Pete Dutcher Says:

Didn’t he make this same prediction in the past?

    Or was that Adams?

  12. ZeroExpectations Says:

Capt Tim, bout time you came out with a little honesty and steered clear of the homerism tune you are prone to playing.

Only problem is, White is 31… his big paydays are a thing of the past. Poor fella.

  13. ZeroExpectations Says:

Joe, Steve White did a nice piece on questioning the curious moves to get down to 53… the revised one is good.

He has some very valid concerns. And frankly, I am curious to why you didn’t even so much as question the moves?

I mean you are still questioning the Ward release and money issues but you didn’t really scrutinize the moves to get to 53 and then the re-shuffle.

    Or did i miss it?

Steve can reinforce your scrutiny with many hits to follow.

  14. Capt.Tim Says:

Zero- I am never a “homer”. I have loyalty to my team, think everyone deserves a fair chance. Period. Hating your own team blindly just makes you tratorious and a pussy. It most certainly doesn’t give you any credibility or moral high ground with any of the real fans who support this team. If everyone had your cowardly attitude, we wouldn’t have a team.. Plus we’d probably be speaking Russian.

  15. ZeroExpectations Says:

Timmy the Snorkler, you most certainly ARE a homer you deuche bag.

You even like Raheem Morris. What does that say about you? are you some kind of freak or something to like this interim deal?

  16. Dave Says:

    I hope he is right.

If he does, then I say Moore ends up with 6+.

  17. MVPFreeman Says:

I remeber what happened the last time one of our DEs promised 10+ sacks (cough cough, Simeon Rice’s last season as a Buc)…….

On a positive note, the NFC South ‘worst-to-first’ curse lives on 🙂

    GO BUCS!!!!

  18. MVPFreeman Says:

    OMFG!!!!

DID I JUST READ SOMEONE WRITING THE WORDS ‘CANTON-OHIO’ IN THIS THREAD?!?!?!?!

    BAH-HA-HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!……HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!

  19. tampa2 Says:

    @MVPFreeman
“On a positive note, the NFC South ‘worst-to-first’ curse lives on”

Raheem the Dream is about to redefine that curse. We will be the 1st NFC South team to go from Worst, to worst than worst!

As to White, I have to agree with Tugboat Timmie about White’s work ethic. I think that White will be back in Orlando working at the stereo shop this time next year.

  20. Capt.Tim Says:

Zerointelligence- Raheem Morris is payed millions of dollars to Coach the Bucs. He is one of only 32 people on earth to have that job. It looks like he has done a great job this year. I hope so. If not, he’ll be fired, and we’ll have a new coach. No big deal. You don’t care, because you don’t like the team, or the coaches, or the players, or the owners. I don’t think you watch football. I think the only reason you post here is to irritate the straight guys, so that you Lil gay ass doesn’t feel so defective. That and the fact that you are bored, because you have no life. But, on a positive note- your” I can whine more than any bitch” routine is very sucessful! Not that I know anyone who would be impressed by that act!

  21. MVPFreeman Says:

…thought he was payed like around $800,000……..
