BSPN Consensus Says Bucs No. 30

July 10th, 2010

A pile of allegedly astute NFL analysts at BSPN got together and ranked the NFL teams entering training camp.

The Bucs are better than the Bills and Rams but nobody else, so says the group.

In this BSPN video, Mark Schlereth looks at the projected bottom feeders and explains why the Lions might not be a W for the Bucs.

With all the ” worst to first” stories in the NFL, these preseason predictions are always wrong, and pretty much a waste of time. If you don’t think so, check out the predictions from last year. That being said, the Bucs are counting on a lot of young players, and still have some glaring holes to fill for Depth! But as always, with EVERY team, the key is the QB! As Josh goes, so goes the Bucs! If Neo takes a big step foward, it’ll overcome a lot of other problems. With a First year starter, any prediction is just a guess.

I am shocked that these guyss had this team rated that high. I thought for sure that we would be objectively positioned as #31 worse! This article should be posted in the OPTIMIST category.

Capt Dim- maybe you should change your name to Captain Obvious. Of course the qb is key. Develop your thinking a little further, the chances of Freeman having a solid year based on thirty two league starters irrespective of experience is virtually zero with a shoddy line, absent running game, a no proven wide receivers. Freeman may be good but the odds are extremely high that you wont be able to tell this year.

This teams goal for 2010: Dont get Freeman killed, try not to get blown-out on a weekly basis, pray that you win 3-4 games, CBA resolution, and then hopefully the Glazers will reopen the pocketbook for a real HC, GM and proven talent.

Anything other than that is UNREALISTIC! Having Rah as your Head Coach alone is good for making a 6 win team a 4 win team.

Did’nt you guys hear the news?? Freeman is a NATURAL west coast qb. We dont need a running game or recievers or o line. Just him and Greg Olsons playbook I mean Gruden’s we might win 4 games this year withMorris at the wheel……

  4. Capt.Tim Says:

Sorry, Thomass, I missed part of that, was busy flushing a few of your opinions!

    Cmon, the Bills are better.

Co-worst teams with the Rams is about right. They are also “draft building”.

But, their coach is better. Could be a back and forth battle for 32nd right up until the final weekend of the regular season.

    Awesome!

    catnip for Thomas and Eric

  7. ZeroExpectations Says:

I have Zero Expectations about this team. 30th, 31st, 32nd? It don’t make no nevermind I tell ya.

The Bucs have a last place coach, coming off of a last place defensive rank against offenses all but TELLING the Bucs that they were going to run the football down their throats. The Buccaneers were pretty helpless last year.

So there is no reason to believe otherwise until they prove otherwise.

    A rightfully so 30th.

I find it amusing how Jimmybuk and Captimmy are mad….. mad at the national media time and time again ranking the Bucs so low.

The Bucs don’t deserve to ranked any higher until they PROVE they can win. Not be annointed by the delusional (Jimmybuk and Captimmy) Raheem Morris apologists with obvious agendas to blindly support the Glazer’s penny pinching ways.

    LMAO!!!

  9. Eric S Says:

I wouldn’t say the Bills are better. The Bills are pretty bad. I looked at all the teams and #30 seems about right. But that is why you play the games. Every year except one since they switched to 4 divisions, there has been at least 50% turnover in the playoff teams. NO wasn’t that much of a shock. I know a few people who had them going to the SB. It was surprising how far the Steelers and Giants dropped though.

The Bucs would be lucky to get third in their division and that might be a stretch. I do believe the first game will be telling how good the season will be. If they can’t beat the Browns at home, then that is a huge problem.

  10. JimBuc Says:

RahDom — Just further evidence of your stupidity, I agree that the Bucs deserve a low ranking. You need to polish your critical reading skills. I am not a fan of Morris per se, just a fan of giving him a real opportunity. Anyone who thinks last year was a fair shot is a delusional fool. Anyone who thinks a coach should get one year to succeed or fail needs to get their head out of their a$$. I am also not a Glazer fan per se, but neither am I a stupid lunatic that believes in wild conspiracy theories. That’s your crowd.

  11. RahDomDaBest Says:

Bottom line, Raheem shouldn’t be an NFL coach yet for ANY NFL team…… we are the sorry sapps who have to deal with an unqualified head coach.

And Jimmybuk thinks this is just peachy. Keep apologizing for your unqualified interim coach jimmy… keep apologizing.
