Mark Dominik On The Clock — With Talib

April 19th, 2010

In a JoeBucsFan.com exclusive, Joe broke the news earlier that the state of Florida has approved a pretrial intervention deal with helmet-wielding Aqib Talib in his alleged cabbie-beating case.

If Talib completes anger management counseling and is on good behavior for year, the charges will be dropped.

Obviously, Talib entering into this deal — let alone settling out of court with the cabbie — is a pretty clear admission of his guilt.

Now it’s Mark Dominik’s turn to decide whether the Buccaneers condone this kind of behavior.

Will the Bucs suspend Talib for a game now that the courts have run their course?

Joe thinks that Dominik should deliver that punishment quickly.

Joe loves watching Talib on the field, but the Bucs can’t just sit idly when a player seems to have been out in the community belting unprovoked citizens while they’re at work.

Dominik, you’re on the clock.

As for warden Roger Goodell, it will be interesting to see his response.

The Bucs didn’t do anything after he whacked Cox with his helmet, so what makes you think they’re going to do anything for this? I’ll be surprised if they do anything — it’s been the better part of a year and most everyone has forgotten about it.

That’s not the only thing the Bucs looked the other way on (not counting the cabbie incident).

At least he didnt rape young college girls. Roethlisamwhich is a big dumb animal who should be locked up.

Just shows that justice can be bought. If he was just some schmoe from, say, Rome, Ga., dude would still be hoping his family could make bail.

  5. Slappy Says:

The Bucs already have someone who chose the college girl route (#86)

Joe is HARDLY sticking up for the King of Turds, but didn’t those incidents take place when King of Turds was in college?

(Damn, Joe wants to take a shower now.)

  7. Joseph Says:

    Well, isn’t he a hard-hitting corner?

If Talib has to complete the FL anger management course it’s like 26 weeks and that’s punishment enough! If the Bucs didn’t do anything yet the ONLY people who remember is JoeBucsFan

Dominik/Rah-Rah NEED Talib each and every game – their jobs are on the line – can’t afford to sit Aqib but fine his ass.

  9. JimBuc Says:

Joe — it cuts both ways. If Talib is just some kid from south St. Pete he is never prosecuted

  10. Eric Says:

    @JimBuc

I dunno Jimbuc, the courtrooms at 49th street are full of kids from South Saint Pete.

  11. gotbbucs Says:

The players union would appeal and he probably wouldn’t serve a suspension. Dominik is content to let the league hand down suspensions, not him.

  12. JimBuc Says:

Eric, I thought I saw you say on here that you were a lawyer? Maybe I am wrong?

Anyway, ff you were you would know what I mean. Kids from S. St. Pete and many other places get in altercations with cabbies and many other people and the charges are not pursued by the SA because it is too small a matter and/or the injured party is not motivated.

When the offender is a celebrity, the injured party is motivated by money and the SA is motivated by publicity. One celebrity prosecution is worth a 1,000 prosecutions of small time offenders.

I’m still pissed Dungy sat Sapp for half a game as punishment. I paid good money to go to that game and our best player was on the friggin bench I GOT PUNISHED. There has to be some kind of very large fines.
Ack like a jerk losse some money. One of your star players on the bench could cause the one play that loses the game. One game can be the difference between the playoffs and sitting home. Same as some pin head dancing after a play. Take some of his check not my teams gain and 15 yards to boot. My Mom and wife want players sat. They don’t pay to go to games and don’t even watch them. Yea lets sit our players so they are happy and losse some more. Sorry this punishing the fans make me madder than anything in football.
