Raheem Reveals Frustration At Center

October 11th, 2009

First it was Davin Joseph all but saying backup center Sean Mahan isn’t up to speed.

Now Raheem The Dream appears to have jumped on the bandwagon during his postgame press conference.

“We’ve got to have better protection up front …to not allow some of those pressures to be as inviting up the A-gaps as they were. The guys got to get it. We’ve got to stop making excuses for ourselves.”

Now last Joe checked the A-gaps are those around the center position now occupied by Sean Mahan. And last Joe checked, the only excuses the Bucs have been making on the O-line is the loss of Jeff Faine.

Put those together, and you have a coach saying his center is stinking up the joint.

You mean there was someone playing center today?

It looked like JJ was picking up the ball himself with no one there – I mean the Eagles were on JJ like flies on s***

  2. Bucsfan5 Says:

There were at least 10 blitzes today where someone shot unblocked through the middle of the line, makes you wonder what exactly Mahan is pointing out when he’s calling protections. Olson also didn’t help JJ out much, he could have moved the pocket a bit with his play calling, instead we got a few option runs.

Rigga-Morris brought Mahan back.. Apparently the awesome scouting staff wasn’t able to find another guy like Penn who came off the Vikings practice squad, maybe they ought to get thier heads out and look around

How bad must Jonathan Compass be?
Who get axed first, mahan or hand of stone clayton?
Let’s get serious Geezers, er Glazers and get a professional organization in here.
This team would struggle against a good college team.
On a positive note JJ learned a lot today, and you know what? Name a qb we have had in the last 15 years who you would rather have on your team than JJ (dosn’t say much for the parade does it)

Woops i forgot to cut gaines(burger) adams also.
If you believe in the principle of addition through subtraction, then
    – mahan (mayhem?)
    – clayton
    – Gainesberger
    equals HOPE for the future!

  6. Joe Says:

    mahan (mayhem?)

    LOL!

  7. nick Says:

Raheem the joke has no clue, clayton must go with adams and mahan let rookies play

  8. Jorge Says:

Adams was getting bounced back for 3 yards by the chip block it was embarrassing…Mahan is Mahan, he sucks…Clayton should become a blocking TE if anything, I’m tired of making excuses for the guy…

  9. Phil a '76 Buc Says:

Okay here is the question of the day. In a one on one battle between Gainesburger Adams and Sean Mayhem who would win. My guess is Mayhem whiffs and Gainesburger is so shocked he is in the backfield that he $hit$ himself!

So if the Glazers firing of Gruden was somewhat based on the Fans decries, what are they thinking now. This is the worst Coaching Staff, GM, and Scouts in history. Has anyone noticed how Dominick has gone into HIDING since the season started? That is one deep hole he has curled up in. If they fired the whole bunch, things couldn’t possibly get worse. Maybe John Madden might be interested in Coaching again? Bobby Bowden? Joe Paterno? Dan Devine? Tony Dungy? Mooch? Ross Perot, Rush Limbaugh, Raquel Welch, Tony Curtis, Anybody? Call the hall.

Gaines was bouncing off the linemen today. He would rush full speed and they would hit him and he would bounce back 2 yards time after time. They were pushing him around like a little kid, or an annoying puppy.
