Looks good joe. Looks damn good. If that’s not the poster for real recognizing real I don’t know what is.

  2. Eric Says:

“I would love to be here”

A man who actually wants to play for the Bucs.

    Good stuff Jaboo.

  3. DEEnice07 Says:

Can’t wait to have you here FAMOUS JAMEIS! It’s been a long time coming, guber town get ready!! Because this kid is about to put us on the map!

  4. DEEnice07 Says:

Guber town get ready because FAMOUS JAMEIS is about to put us on the map! Can’t wait to here your name called, it’s about damn time we draft ourselves a franchise QB..this guy has IT, bottom line!

  5. SOEbuc Says:

I really liked the insider video. Getting really excited about Jdub

  6. Pickgrin Says:

Jameis saying hello to his new on field Mentor. VJax is a super solid dude – and he will help teach young Winston what its like to be a responsible man now that its time to play a man’s game and get paid big bucks.

  7. tmaxcon Says:

Welcome to the bucs young man.

  8. Buccfan37 Says:

Funny, in the bubble above Jackson’s head he seems to be saying they can’t be serious about taking this guy.

  9. Tampabaybucfan Says:

Now is a time for respect…..respect for the players and the process…..the process has begun….and these prospects deserve the Bucs full attention….

Some posters will continue to be disrespectful and insulting….they should be ignored. One of these two QBs will be a Buc…and they both have worked very hard to get to where they are.

  10. Love and Warrick Dunn Says:

    Can’t wait!!

Vjax is proof that people can make mistakes (2 DUIs) and turn things around.

  11. P'cola Buc Says:

Jameis looks real comfortable in that photo there…..yes sir real comfortable!

  12. Walter Says:

I bet Jameis is drooling thinking of all the bombs he could toss to V-Jax and Evans. If ASJ can stay healthy as well, we’d have 3 big targets for Winston to work with.

  13. SuperSam Says:

What a joke, if they take this clown both Lovie and Licht will be looking for work in 2 years. Guaranteed

  14. J Says:

    VJax looks unimpressed.

  15. SuperSam Says:

That’s Wnstons “real smile”. Looks like to me hes wondering where all the white cheerleaders are.

  16. CreamsicleBananaHammock Says:

    Nicely said TBBF

  17. SuperSam Says:

@Eric Good stuff Jaboo?? For what? Saying hed love to be rich? Get out of here man If the Titans had the first pick guess what “Jaboo” would be saying, ” Id love to be here”. Get a clue bro.

  18. pick6 Says:

the more people post, the more i look forward to the bucs drafting jameis winston. it seems to me that the selection is going to cull a ton of ignorant judgemental racists from the bucs fan ranks.

  19. ChessMaster Says:

I feel that Jameis genuinely wants to be a Buc.

  20. BuccoDav Says:

Do you really think the Bucs brass gives a rats a$$ if a bunch of posters are being “disrespectful” to the prospects?
Some of you guys make comments as if you think your opinion matters to anyone of importance.
    SMH

  21. CreamsicleBananaHammock Says:

Hey Joe’s, I heard you guys on the radio earlier and you read what you called a “statement” from Jameis. I’m watching the insiders video right now and it seems like the statement was just a transcript from the q&a in the video and not really a statement

  22. gotbbucs Says:

    @ SuperSam

You’ve made your point dipsh!t, now let the adults post without your BS filling the thread.

  23. knuckledragger Says:

“Newton is a generational talent. Winston will also be a generational talent. So many people just don’t get it. Newton has shown almost zero character flaws in the nfl.”
    …………………………….
Using Cam as a ‘pro Winston” point for an argument is not very sound when you consider that he was the last QB taken No.1 overall and 4 years later Tim Tebow still has a better Win %

  24. SuperSam Says:

I just read an interesting scenario, Eagles just traded Lesean McCoy to Bills for Kiko Alonso, Eagles could throw him in a huge trade deal with us……hmmmm

  25. Eric Says:

    @supersam,

He likes Florida and wants to play for the Bucs.

Naturally the millions help. It would for me.

He comes across well. Well spoken, nice smile. He would make a great face of the franchise.

I’m sure the Bucs are pleased. It’s all a formality anyhow they already know they are drafting him.

But they knew that last October.

  26. SuperSam Says:

@gotbucs “Adults”? Your probably a 13yo girl with Acne and a Winston Barbie doll. Dipsh!t

  27. c-span Says:

This kid gets a lot of hate. I bet if that accusation didnt happen, everyone would be 100% on board. Let’s face it JW can ball and he is clutch. He should easily be the first pick

  28. Eric Says:

Wow you knocked that one out of the park Supersam.

    Brilliantly stated.

  29. You go Joe Says:

supersam … Sadly you can express your views no matter how dumb they are. You want the Eagles to sign Suh for us in this super trade ?

  30. Dave Pear Says:

SuperSam is the only poster on JBF that actually makes sense.
    It’s as simple as that.

  31. Uranus Johnson Says:

It’s like the Revis disaster all over again, nice job Lovie in killing the trade value of that top pick. Some teams suck for a reason, look at Cleveland.

  32. knuckledragger Says:

Hey TBBF, do you know what I haven’t heard from Pablo lately? His views on smokescreens. Next time you see him could you ask him how he feels about them this time of year.

  33. The original "Kevin" Says:

Pretty telling the bucs are taking this guy. I dont see the glaziers releasing this video with jason liqht grinning from ear to ear. Pretty obvious there is your new qb Bucs fans. As long as he stays out of trouble and doesnt go all Bo Jackson on us Im happy with it….those are two big ifs though

  34. DooshLaRue Says:

Ol’ Jameis looks like he hung out with Shaun “Burger” King for a couple days of intense cheeseburger pounding.
The kid is gonna blow up……and not in a good way.

  35. 87ForJameisNOMariota Says:

    I think I just got a boner…

  36. Mike10 Says:

Change of subject quickly, what about going out to snag CJ spiller? He would come fairly cheap, he can play slot (supposedly played WR before), return kicks, and doesn’t fumble…. Good move, bad move?

    I think it’s worth a look

  37. Eric Says:

    Supersam is onto something.

We’re probably gonna trade the number one pick for Kiko Alonso, who was out last year with an ACL.

  38. jb Says:

    Hey 87…..
    Far TMI

  39. knuckledragger Says:

    Lol jb.
I think he was looking for a bj instead.

  40. LUVMYBUCS Says:

    WTF..

LeSean McCoy has reportedly been traded to the Buffalo Bills for linebacker Kiko Alonso

    Wow

  41. LUVMYBUCS Says:

Clearly Chip Kelly is doing everything to bring in his guys-

And yawl still believe this dude won’t trade the farm for his QB Mariota…

Okay, okay, okay, okay – sho’ you right!

  42. LUVMYBUCS Says:

    Per: Pete Prisco
“Donald, the only Duck Chip Kelly hasn’t acquired.”

  43. SAMCRO Says:

Wait til Mariota comes in next. By then, he would have had more time to hone in and improved any perceived weaknesses. You know what they say about lasting impressions. He will lockup the #1 spot after his Bucs visit. He’s way more versatile than any of these stoic pocket passers, which by the way we already have one of them in MG8 on the roster, and MG8 is faster, if you can fathom that. Mariota gives our OC more versatility with “No Huddle” “Spread” plays on top of the conventional drop back plays in his game plan than MG8 or Winston can provide, and Bucs BRASS will come to this same conclusion. I’m kind of glad Winston came in first.

  44. Luther Says:

Just got finished talking to two Philthy fans and I don’t think they are very happy about the trade of McCoy.

  45. LUVMYBUCS Says:

    @Luther

Yeah, my son in law is pissed (Diehard Philly fan)..lol

  46. BringBucsBack Says:

VJax is explaining to JW that the machine he is standing next to is a stair-stepper and how people use it to stay in shape.

    Just a playful jab; I couldn’t resist.

  47. Cody Says:

It seems Winston feels it’s important to let the organization and fans know he wants to be a Buc…Being from Bessemer, Alabama…I’m pretty sure everyone in that small town has heard the Bo Jackson story about how he turned down the Bucs…Funny how things seems to go full circle…Winston will be a Buc some things are just meant to be…

The “Red Flag” king gets to play for the team with a Red Flag as a logo, how fitting..lol…

  48. knuckledragger Says:

“Put it this way as far as Glennon is concerned. He is the only rookie in NFL history to throw 10 Tds to 1 int. in his first 10 tds. He was also the first rookie ever to throw a Td pass in his first 8 games. He did this last yr with Schiano as a HC, without a 2wr, on 3rd and 4th string RBs with an undrafted rookie TE that was converted that year from WR.”

I just copied this from another site. Im not a MGMr but all of this is true.

  49. Sick of this $hit Says:

    Super Sam

At 2-14, you had better be feeling pretty freakin good about anybody saying they would love to be here. Especially a guy who lost a whopping one game in the last two years. You get a clue.

  51. Love and Warrick Dunn Says:

Here are Koetter’s QBs since his time at BC as OC.

    Mark Hartsell – BC -94-95
    Ryan Perry-Smith / Tony Graziani Oregon 96
    Akili Smith /Jason Maas – Oregon 97
Bart Hendricks – Boise St. 98-2000
    Jeff Krohn – ASU – 2001
    Andrew Walter – ASU – 2002-2004
Sam Keller / Rudy Carpenter – ASU 2005
    Rudy Carpenter – ASU -2006
    Dave Garrard – Jags – 2007-2010
    Blaine Gabbert – Jags 2011
    Matt Ryan -Falcons – 2012-2014

So, for everyone who goes on about Koetter’s connection to Oregon and “versatile” spread guys vs. “stoic” pocket passers, tell me, who do most Koetter’s QBs resemble?

If you want to know the future, look to the history.

    Winston to Evans, touchdown!

  52. knuckledragger Says:

All I can say is, the SECOND we are sure that we want one of these QBs it should be an Andrew Luck type of decision. Don’t wait for the draft. Get him a playbook now! If we make it to the draft then we are still shopping.

  53. Tampabaybucfan Says:

    Speaking for Pablo

“Pablo is confused by smokescreens….but Pablo thinks they are designed to confuse…so Pablo does not have low self-esteem because of them. Pablo has trouble enough with straight outright facts….this is the cause of Pablo’s low self-esteem. Pablo is constantly stoned and uses that as his excuse.”

  54. Another J Says:

Jameis to Jackson has a nice ring to it!

  55. knuckledragger Says:

Hel l yes Pablo! Admitting it is the first step!!!
    Keep on keepin it real!

  56. Ray Rice Says:

Wow #5 was drafted 1st overall today. Dam! After that visit and that video no way in hell they draft anyone else. Koeter slid him the playbook in the same backpack given to all special visitors that contains key chains, calendars, pens, etc… No lie though. The $hit did get me pumped to hear him talk about how he wanted to be a YUC, and telling VJax he wanted to get him the rock!

  57. MariotaOrWinstonOrWalkdaPlank Says:

Well he seemed to say all the right things. I especially liked how he said he WANTS to play in Florida and here. Of course, it’s not like he was going to say he didn’t want to play here, but he sure didn’t do anything wrong. 2 days left.

Actually I must admit that is probably true to some extent, but they will likely NOT exceed Mike Glennon’s rookie stats, at least by statistical comparison.
Reason #2 why I hope they keep Mike Glennon:
Over the last 20 years, there have been 13 QBs chosen #1 overall in the NFL draft. Only 1 of those 13 (Cam Newton QB rating 84.5) was better than MG8′s 83.9 in his rookie year. In fact, those 13 QBs have played an aggregate of 106 seasons total, and in ONLY 43 (43/106 seasons = 40.6%) did they have a QB rating > 83.9, no matter how much experience they had.

I liked what Winston said too, but let’s not forget Mariota is coming too.

  60. Tampabaybucfan Says:

Can Jameis get an advance on his pay….especially if he starts learning the playbook tonight?

  61. gotbbucs Says:

We have the #1 pick, there is zero reason for the organazation to be anything other than transparent with their choice. When was the last time that the 1st pick in the draft was traded? Its not happening and was never a real option. If they could have put in their pick the second the game clock hit zero the last game of the year they would.

It’s going to be Winston, I dont think there was ever any other option. This is the exact moment that ownership has been dreaming about since they bought the team im sure.

  62. MariotaOrWinstonOrWalkdaPlank Says:

    @tickdr

Getting rid of Glennon scares me. He is not a great QB by any means, but he is certainly not a bad QB who did pretty damn good under the terrible circumstances he was in. I’d feel a lot better knowing we had Glennon behind Winston OR Mariota because he has proven he can come off the bench and win a few games, especially if one of the rookies starts making rookie mistakes and needs to be yanked.

My biggest fear is trading him to a good team and he gets put in the right system and flourishes. Nevertheless, I still think we to draft a QB.

Just don’t trade Glennon to the MF’ing New England Patriots, and I’ll be happy.

  65. gotbbucs Says:

Is Glennon more valuable here or elsewhere. If they can get a third round pick for him and avoid any kind of QB controversy I think they’ll move him.
My guess is they’ll move him and bring in someone like Jason Campbell to serve as the veteran backup.

I say this as a fan of Mike Glennon, but it’s painfully obvious that the powers that be don’t feel the same.

  66. Stanglassman Says:

Eric I def agree with you that it is so nice to have the opportunity to draft the best QB to come out and years and he couldn’t be more proud to play & be drafted by the Bucs.

Jameis was born and raised a Bucs fan. He wants to be a Buc not only because they have the number one pick but also because his father raised him as a Bucfan. He showed and told him the history of the Bucs, esp. games of Doug Williams.

  67. jody Says:

Are the holes fans totally oblivious to the FACT that Mr clutch only came back in games where he threw a ton of int’s to get in that position anyway? That wont work in the NFL. MARIOTA!!!

  68. tmaxcon Says:

All these obscure records and stats to justify 8s failures are comical.

The only stat that matters is wins and losses. What’s 8 win loss record… Let the excuses fly. 8 had 18 games to force Lovie to play him. he choked. 8 got worse. 8 does not inspire his teammates nor does he make the players around him better. Even if 8 stays in tb there is no competition 8 has 1/10th the ability of Winston. I wish 8 well there is no shame in being a afternoon radio host no money either but he’ll get by.

Andrew Luck 23 TDs 18 INTs

Mike Glennon 19 TDs 9 INTs

So, only three of those 13 first overall picks threw for more TDs in their rookie seasons, and P. Manning, Bradford, Newton and Luck played all 16 games in that first year. Fully NINE of those thirteen threw for more INTs than MG8’s 9 picks in his rookie season. but that was only in 13 games, so over a full season he would have 11 INTs, but also would have thrown for 23.4 TDs!

BTW, have I ever mentioned that MG8 played five of those games his rookie season against the TOP FOUR ranked defenses that year?

You mean like in the 2014 National Championship where the Noles were down 21-3 to the big and bad SEC Champion Auburn Tigers, and Jameis led the Noles to outscore them 31-10 for the rest of the game and win the title, and be named the MVP?

Yeah, he threw exactly zero interceptions in that game.

  71. tickrdr Says:

    @tmaxcon:

After 19 games in the NFl, Peyton Manning’s W-L record was 5- 14. After 18.5 games in the NFL, MG*’s W-L record is 5-13. (I admit I didn’t count the 1st ATL game since Glennon was already down 56 to 0, before he came in).

I suspect you would have been ready to bench him too???

Be careful brotha-comparison analysis is frowned upon in this establishment.

  73. gotbbucs Says:

    @ jody

What scares me even more is the ridiculous TD-Int ratio that Mariota had in college.

Those numbers to me indicate that he only ever took scheme calculated deep shots down field and the rest were short one read passes designed to let the recievers gain all the yards after the catch. The sidelines made all the decisions for him pre-snap, that my friend scares the hell out of me.

  74. Charles Says:

So question… The bucs once did this with bo Jackson, it didn’t end well……. What if… Maybe…. It happens again with Winston? I know the bucs cleared this with the NFL, but what about the NCAA, what if Winston was suspended from baseball. Could this end up being Oh no Bo 2.0

  75. MariotaOrWinstonOrWalkdaPlank Says:

“The only stat that matters is wins and losses.”

Now I’m not gonna go all in on MG8 defense but this is just absurd. Lot’s of good QB’s started out with more losses than wins.

    Let me ask you this:

If we draft either Winston or Mariota this year, what do you expect our record to be? 8-8? 9-7? 10-6? Higher?? If I recall correctly the best ever regular season comeback was the 2009 Buccaneers (3-13) to the 2010 Buccaneers (10-6). Coming off a 2-14 season, we are FAR from one QB away from contention. We will likely finish with a losing record next year, just hopefully better than 2-14. I suppose since that’s “the only stat that matters” we should throw in the towel on our rookie QB?

Hasn’t Cam Newton had 3 losing seasons with the Carolina Panthers? Yeah, he sucks they should totally get rid of him.

no need to tell you my name, im a veteran in this league and I have the contract you want rook. your not the man yet but you got some potential and I think you can improve our team…….grown men don’t smile in the face of rookies like they are star struck unless your name is GMC and you smile about everything.

Winston is the pick but you earn the respect of men who have families and make a living off this game and your play will directly affect their contracts and living situation if things go really bad for you, shut up focus get your nose in the playbook and be great….do that and we’ll get along just fine

” they owe vjack for taking away Freeman and insulting his talent with Glennon under center”

False argument #3 to get rid of Mike Glennon:
He didn’t make the players around him any better.
Reason #4 why I hope they keep Mike Glennon:
    Vincent Jackson in 2013:
First 3 games = 11 recs for 126 yds, 0 TDs. (Pretty sure JF5 was the QB)
    Last 13 games = 63 recs for 959 yds, 7 TDs.
Of course for the last thirteen games, they had to double cover Skye Dawson, and Chris Owusu, which undoubtedly opened it up for Vjax. (sarc)

Freeman, Johnny Football, and now the big JabooBoo. SMH.

I wasn’t going to respond to you until you posted this:

why don’t you compare V.Jax first 13 games with Freeman to his first 13 games with Glennon.
