Quiet Key To “Woodshed” Beating By Packers

December 18th, 2014

Rodgers

Leave it to a former Buccaneers quarterback to make a great point backing up his assertion that Tampa Bay is in for a painful “old fashioned woodshed” beating at the hands of the Packers on Sunday.

Former Bucs QB Shaun King, one of three QBs to lead Tampa Bay to the NFC Championship game, noted that Aaron Rodgers and the Packers offense only struggle when they’re in a loud environment. Green Bay’s only losses — and roughest offensive showings — were all on the road: Seattle, Detroit, New Orleans and Buffalo.

That’s three raucous, sold out dome stadiums, plus a Buffalo crowd crazed by having a solid team for a change.

Speaking on Ron and Ian this afternoon on WDAE-AM 620, King said the noise limits the Packers and stifles their offense.

“They can’t check in and out of plays at the line of scrimmage,” King said.

Of course, King knows the Packers will be looking at a virtual home crowd on Sunday, with 30,000+ Packers fans in the house at the Stadium on Dale Mabry Highway.

“This could get ugly. I’m looking at 38-10,” King said.

I feel like we should forfiet these next couple and save everyone a lot of time, money and humiliation.

Maybe McCarthy can do us a favor and whoop Lovie so bad that the Glazers have no choice but to tell him to pack his bags.

The only bright spot for me is that Rodgers is my favorite NFL player. Yeah pretty bad for a Buc’s fan but the dude is just so smooth, graceful, and he’s always smiling. Yeah after Joe’s post yesterday about Olivia Munn we can all guess why Rodgers smiles so much now. 🙂

My fantasy. Notice I said fantasy before you all jump me for being unrealistic.

We draft Mariota #1. He turns into a cross between Rodgers and Kaepernik and forges his own way as a very smooth running, very smart, player with some athletic skill.

We get the meanest nastiest guard available in the draft. Frank Middleton mean. Hell Conrad Dobler mean. Our team is soft right now especially on the OL.

Dotson works out at LT and we find a serviceable RT from our roster or the waiver wire. Somebody like Lansanah, Smith and a few of the others the Bucs have actually found.

That’s bullspit. They do it all the time.

Maybe they will quit like they did with RAH, and Glazers will fire that empty suit Liar Smith

I’m expecting Mr. Rogers to torch the Bucs completely, They’ll have 38 points before halftime. They might even dust off Matt Flynn before the game is over.
    49-17

  8. JMN Says:

It will be Lambeau Field South this Sunday. Bucs fans will sadly be outnumbered. Green Bay just got an extra home game this year. Lucky Ducks!

  9. ChargedCBH Says:

So What! Everybody takes a beatin once in awhile…. Every Bucs fan should have there minds on the BIG PICTURE!

  10. Buccfan37 Says:

Green Bay is not going to the super bowl, so it does’nt matter who wins the toilet bowl this sunday.

  11. DB55 Says:

I promise you that I could suit up and catch a pass against this BUC zone def. after the first qrt when GB is up 21-0 we’ll get a heavy dose of Eddie Lacy and no buc def (other than LVD) wants any of that. Maybe lansana. but yea nope it’s gonna get ugly quick and Lovie will sit there emotionless yet stupefied by the foundation he’s built. Yey bucs. It’s a pirates life for me. Yo ho yo ho

  12. Walter White Says:

Lovie couldn’t win a game of Tecmo bowl with Bo Jackson.

  13. mark2001 Says:

I’ll give it to you straight….play the pass and Lacey will torch you…play the pass game straight and Nelson or Cobb, or both will torch you. No pass rush and Rogers will torch you….most of the young WR’s and TE’s are playing well. And if you can’t control the ball or get touchdowns, not field goals, and put the ball in Rogers hands too often, and allow him to get on a roll, and you are done. If you don’t have a disciplined and well disguised defense, Rogers and doesn’t have to deal with a good pass rush, he will find the open guy or improvise…the receivers do a great job at finding spaces when Rogers improvises. Sometimes those D backs have to cover 10 seconds or more. Under todays rules, that is nearly impossible. I never saw the noise make much difference…and I’ve seen all but one Packer game this year.

  14. OB Says:

I think he means we can’t check in and out of plays at the line of scrimmage because we barely get the play off in time, every time.

Of course maybe McCown is changing the play every time because someone is calling some bad plays.

  15. denjoe Says:

How the heck did I get on Shaun Kings website.

boy Nostradamus doesn’t have anything on Shaun King.

  16. bucs4lyfe Says:

I cant believe how the local media is bowing to the host team and giving Rodgers the kings status…..how the hell cares about the packers, we know the bucs are bad and will get beat but sorry to tell you the beating wont be that bad, it’s like the media is begging for it just so they can talk about the obvious which is really stupid.

  17. Oahubuc Says:

They created the quiet, and they deserve the beating.
