“I Got Fresh Legs”

October 30th, 2014

SimsThe anticipated debut of rookie running back Charles Sims could come Sunday.

Coming off ankle surgery, Sims talked to media today.

The soft-spoken 24-year-old said he felt great getting hit in practice yesterday for the first time in months.

Sims was guarded though about whether he can or will play Sunday.

“Yeah, I got fresh legs,” Sims said. But he wouldn’t say he was ready to play when asked.

He’s gonna need them behind the Buc offensive line

    “I Got Fresh Legs”

Ohhh, you mean Charles Sims… I thought this was another Jameis Watch article… where he came away with another score from Publix! Tank it for Jameis!!!

  3. bucrightoff Says:

Shelve him for the season. If he’s really any good we shouldn’t let him get killed running behind that line. Season’s gone so save his legs and any punishment till next year.

  4. BucBob1 Says:

Charles Sims is gonna wish he was still on IR, after one week, with this offensive line!

  5. ToesOnTheLine! Says:

Activate him and see if he’s any more successful than Martin, Rainey, and James or find out if he’s on the Lovie Smith fire sale list for 2015 as well. Might as well evaluate as many players on the roster as possible since it’s obvious Lovie isn’t going to tailor his schemes to fit his roster.

  6. OB Says:

    Joe

He can catch and doesn’t fumble, is this a change plus he can block, are things changing?

  7. Scotty in Fat Antonio Says:

with the lack of yardage the other RBs ave, they should all have fresh legs.

  8. Robert7 Says:

Hope he has an iron plate in his skull…gonna need it

  9. Tom Edrington Says:

Got fresh legs…..but got a ROTTEN offensive line!

  10. JJV Says:

It’s wonderful to hear his legs are fresh. Too bad they will feel like running in quicksand with the O-line in front of him. It’s a toss up between Sims and Glennon who ends up using more ice after the game.

  11. Brooks Says:

Is the headline when we draft Jameis going to be “I’ve got crab legs.”

  12. Buccfan37 Says:

If he gets in the game, I think he will have a positive impact right away.

  13. Buc1987 Says:

I’ve got fresh legs too. All u can eat crab legs for a year for Jameis Winston when he comes to Tampa.

  14. DallasBuc Says:

Sims sounds an awful lot like McCoy!

  15. Scott Says:

Did I miss something in preseason? What were his preseason stats against 2nd and 3rd teamers? And we’re relying on HIS return? Man, what we hope for nowadays….

  16. OMG I MISS SCHIANO Says:

He honestly seems to have the skillset to be a stud in this league, but our horribly predictable & conservative playcalling combined with our weak OL is setting this kid up for failure. I could use my Madden playcalling and have more success on offense than we’re having. Guaranteed.

  17. kevin Says:

Yeah it felt good getting hit in practice. Thats because its our defense hitting you and not any other nfl teams defense. Dont worry kid pretty soon youll be getting your ass embarrassed along with ten other guys on the leagues worst offense every sunday. Even if we had an oline our playcalling is atrocious. And guess what else. You are playing for the one team in the league whos home stadium has more of the opposing teams fans than its own….HA!!!! Pretty sad that as a die hard fan that this is all I can say about them. My expectation every Sunday is to see the 32nd best team walking around the field four quarters and cant wait for the game to be over and go kick it the rest of the day. ITS A BUCS LIFE…oR DEFEND THE BAY or STATS ARE FOR LOOSERS or ITS A ONE GAME SEASON, TOES ON THE LINE What is it now something about BUC BALL??? How bout shut up and win a damn game. Cant useJUST WIN BABY someone already used that one…

  18. Jon Says:

Remember this post and I hate to write it but I just rewatched the preseason and he does not have Qk feet and is slower than I expected. So, he better be physical as heck or I promise he’s not good enough. So watch him and his ability to break tackles but I think he’s a guy and james is actually a better back

  19. Owlykat Says:

Glad Sims played for WVa. so he should be used to 46 degrees in Cleveland! I bet he can play better than Martin behind the same poorly coached OL.

  20. BoJim Says:

Please rest him for a while longer. I’m one of the few on here that would like to see us win some more. I think the season is lost but would like t see some improvement. I DON’T want our team to ‘tank’ for any reason. That would not be cool.
