“Hawk” Tired Of Talk

October 26th, 2014

You think you were frustrated with the ugly Bucs loss? You think you are sick of the Bucs always talking about dominating and correcting mistakes and being the best they can be?

Well, so is Bucs safety “Hawk” Goldson. A visibly upset Goldson sat in his locker seething, trying his best to keep his emotions in. But he let some slip out.

In other words, Hawk wants to puke the next time he hears someone, specifically on the coaching staff, talk about “starting fast” offensively.

Hawk has had it. Want to start fast? Do it!

“Same song every week,” Hawk said. “Same song every week.”

As for the defense, Hawk thought he and his defensive teammates got the job done for most of four quarters.

“We got off the field a lot,” Hawk said. “We didn’t get any turnovers but we got off the field on third down. We got the offense the ball back a lot. I don’t know what happened on that [offensive] side of the ball.

“Coaches are going to say what they are going to say. That’s what you’ve got to do. You’ve got to come out of the gate. You have to start fast. We are at home. That’s what we expect. We don’t seem to do that.”

I did’nt hear the Hawk’s name mentioned in the game. Did anybody think the Bucs would win this game after they took the lead late. I know I did’nt.

  2. RCH Says:

They played like crap today and plenty of blame to go all around. Hence, looking at you number 72 getting penalized on back to back plays. At any rate if we can’t beat a bad team like the vickings who exactly are we going to beat. As much as it breaks my heart its pretty pathetic.

  3. RealityCheck Says:

The only time I pay attention to Goldson is when I see him arriving late on coverage after the ball is caught down the field. We have a lot of ok players on this team, no playmakers. Banks dropping the game winning pick is an example. Nobody on our team makes game changing plays.

  4. lurker Says:

the lockerroom is in turmoil and the players miht be tired of lovie’s droning.

  5. Vagabond Says:

McCoy got it started… Here it comes… Locker room dissent. You’ve lost them Lovie. But we’ll be patient…

  6. Jim Says:

The safety play is atrocious. Barron is always two steps behind the play or is bouncing off a tackle, and I never saw “the Hawk” all game.

  7. StPeteBucsFan Says:

Yeah Hawk. If youR fellow DB Jonathan Banks could freaking catch a ball the game was OVER!!! How many ways can the Bucs CHOKE?

  8. MadMax Says:

“just enuff to get my paycheck”

  9. NewTampaChris Says:

If Banks and Goldson don’t have hands made of concrete slabs, the Bucs are 3-4. But that’s the difference between good teams and crappy teams like the Bucs. Win or lose today, they stink out loud.

  10. Chocolatecvb Says:

I think the “Hawk” could be flying out of Tampa in a trade tomorrow.

  11. Bear the Bucs Says:

Has anyone seen Tedford ? I mean, How bad was his surgery ? Maybe the Doc said stay away from this mess for the sake of your health.

  12. jason77 Says:

Put some different color lockers in the locker room, it looks depressing just like the team.

  13. Arealbucsfan Says:

Welcome to Tampa Marcus Mariota lol

  14. Dave Pear Says:

There’s still 2:30 seconds left in the 2nd quarter. No time to worry yet.

  15. Bill T Says:

Is he kidding? The Defense has sucked all year…one of the worst in NFL history and he is going to slam the offense? He has sucked for the past two years so trade his butt

  16. sho-nuff Says:

you know what I’m tired of 620 being as gutless as the Bucs putting those 2 say nothing politicians paid by the Bucs to basically say NOTHING and not allowing the fans to vent on the post game show….Where is T-Kras he has the sac to let it fly the BORING I don’t know why he keeps getting jobs in Tampa R Lane and AB blow….

  17. Luther Says:

Can’t disagree with him. Dropped passes, terrible blocking and some of the worst timing on penalties. As a MGM member, I say its time that we look to the draft and if a quality QB is available, you snag him. We need OL and DL help too but don’t let a QB slip.

  18. jyraun Says:

Blah blah blah. …. make a play and then maybe I will listen to what “da hawk” has to say! But till then shut your mouth and focus on playing football! It’s just a shame that we have to wait another year for(some quality football) players. SMH!

  19. Doc Says:

This team has no ideal how to win. The team is soft and player’s or to nice to play in the N.F.L. The only player the other teams fear is David, the rest of this defense is junk.

  20. MadMax Says:

@Luther…Id trade the first and then trade that one down for a lower first (plus more) and pick best QB available, then O line for 2 picks and the rest on D….specifically corners and safeties.

  21. Brandon Says:

Whatever is in store for the Bucs in 2015, rest assured “The Hawk” will not be a part of it. If he’s not traded to a safety needy team by Tuesday, he will undoubtedly be cut along with his half a million dollar per game salary. He’s terrible anyway.

  22. tweezydakidd Says:

Did you see the play where they reverse back to the right with Cordell Patterson, he was running right at the hawk, and he didn’t even try to hit the guy! Result….. Big first down!! Trade his sorry butt!!

  23. ElioT Says:

The “Crawk” might want to MAKE A F**KING PLAY once in a while. That might help. $8mil/yr. GTFO! Douche bag!

Name three plays (that mattered) he’s made since being a Suc?

Nobody trades for this guy and his contract, he’ll be cut this offseason.

    Dashon! You Suck!

  24. buc4lyfe Says:

The safety help is never there shut up the defense finally played like an nfl defense

  25. BucFan20 Says:

    Except when it counted!!

  26. Lee Says:

Goldson needs to shut his mouth. We hear the same thing every week about the defense saying they “just need to step up and make plays to get of the field.” We’ll Dashon your defense had the perfect opportunity today to stop the Vikings on the last drive of the game but you let a friggin’ rookie beat you. Pathetic!

  27. Bucs Fan Since '76 Says:

Does anyone realize that we stink at virtually every position? No speed on O. No return game. One LB and one DL. No playmakers. More to the point – no players. Nightmare.

  28. Fort Myers Dave Says:

If they simply shut down the Vikes in the last 2 minutes of the game after the Bucs went up 13-10 then everyone would be giving the defense decent grades for holding the Vikes to 10 points and under 300 yards but they went prevent instead and allowed the Vikes to tie it and then never got back on the field after Sefarian-Jenkins fumbled the game away. Have to blame Frazier and Lovie for going prevent and of course the players have to own blame as well as THEY had the game in their hand in the last 2 minutes and they let Teddy Bridgewater tie them and then the game was out of their hands and into the offense’s inept hands and then it only took seconds for the offense to lose the ****ing game…..

I agree, how did it get this bad???? Ever since the Glazers fired Gruden this club has been regressing. The Glazers went cheap on coaching and front office as they were forced to spend $ with the salary cap regulations so they cut coin elsewhere and now that lack of coaching leadership and scoutin/talent evaluation in the Buc Organization has buried this team. I would love it if Mark Dominic or someone else who was in the Buc organization could explain to us fans why things are so screwed up at One Buc Place: why do other franchises simply go 6-10 or 7-9 for a season or 2 while rebuilding and then make the playoffs while the Bucs continually flounder as if we were back in the the Culverhouse era… Rot starts from the top; that points to the Glazer kids, the franchise starting going bad after Malcolm got the stroke and the kids took over; I place the blame on them…

  30. Luther Says:

@MadMax, I’ve never been a fan of trading back in the draft to grab a QB. I have never seen that work out. If you see a QB at the top of the draft that’s good, you grab him. You might see a trade up to get one but trade back is rare and risky.

what is funny the hawk and this smelly team as a whole played a lot harder for sargent shiano smith s…s and always will. and licked also half ass gm they knew tedford was out and let a qb coach run the offense. wtf are they shoveling!
