Gerald McCoy released frustration today

Gerald McCoy released frustration today

Gerald McCoy is sick of the talking. The Bucs captain was extremely fired up today at One Buc Palace.

The film don’t lie and he’s sick of motivational speeches.

McCoy wants the Bucs to be quiet and beat the opponent in front of them and stop being so soft.

“A lot of times you look on tape and guys are sitting on blocks. Why? You know, a lot of times guys are just holding up blocks. No. Move him out of the way,” McCoy said. “Get open, if you’re in the corner, get off the block. Come help out. If you’re supposed to drop at 10 yards, then drop the 10 yards, don’t drop at eight. It’s just mentally and physically we have to get tougher. And it’s not Coach Smith. He prepares us well every day.” …

“Us as players, we just have to have much more of a killer’s mentality. You know, when that whistle blows and you step across those white lines, you just got to turn into something else. And we gotta do it across the board, McCoy said. …”If you look out there on tape, and you see a bunch of guys sitting on blocks, are you not earning the title of being “soft.”

There was more to McCoy’s passionate takes. Frankly, Joe’s going to stop typing and recommend you watch McCoy from the 7:30 mark of this Buccaneers.com video.

I like it! Get nasty GMC. Hold your squad accountable!

  2. simeon 97 Says:

I just looked at who are division foes play this weekend, all very tough games. If we come out with a win, we are right back in this thing, scary how bad our division is.

Hi kettle I’m pot. This dude is becoming a joke! You have to have a killer mentality? Is that before or after you pick the opponents up and brush the dirt off their shoulders? Sitting on blocks? Dude, do you even watch film? Hi kettle I’m pot. Mccoy has single blocker far more often then double teams. And doesn’t win on 3&9 with single blocker, wtf? And you wanna call others out? What a joke!!!

I’m happy he is accepting that fact that he’s soft, now if he would STFU and do something about it that would be nice. him and MJ are softest ones out there, smfh. This dude, smfh.

  4. PFUDOR Says:

Sounds like Sapp has been in McCoy’s ear.
    Good.

#Pink Fluffy Unicorns Dancing on Rainbows, Yay!

  5. biff barker Says:

    I’ll reiterate a previous comment….

Time to close the yap and put it out there on the field Gerald.

  6. Rutgers4Schiano Says:

GMC is a devout Christian, he does not “Tebow” himself (make a spectacle of his worship) and this is why he has such great sprotmanship on the field. Clinton Mcdonald is also a devout Christian, if you are wanting Old school Oakland Raiders football forget it, not going to happen.

  7. pick6 Says:

i’m beginning to wonder if we have multiple coach killers on this roster. seems like no approach can get these guys doing their jobs in a consistent fashion. either that or our more tenured guys have been through so many schemes in a 4 year period that their instincts have turned to garbage.

    =========================

Nobody cares if these guys are atheists or of whatever their religious beliefs are.

They are paid to play football.

  9. Soggy Says:

Football has changed for the worst when you have to tell your team its a mans league and all the other, The don’t be to physical and all the other flag crap is turning me off to the nfl and when you hear your team captain say stuff like this in his press conference it is just turning me off to buc football, but I will try and hang in there just hope things do not get any softer over the years..

  10. pick6 Says:

p.s. i guess it’s admirable that mccoy doesn’t go and hide when our season takes it’s annual trip down the toilet, but i really am sick of hearing from and about him when he has led one of the league’s least competitive defenses over the last 3 years and spent the previous 2 on IR. i am rooting for the guy, but i’ve lost faith in his potential as a HOF caliber DT. he may be in sapp’s area code in the talent department, but sapp was on a different planet in terms of heart and will to win. sapp would not let lazy teammates stand between him and a win. he would make their life miserable until they shaped up or wanted no part of Sapp’s team. This is possible to do, in my opinion, without bullying and without compromising one’s strong christian values.

  11. biff barker Says:

    Pick6…

I’ve often thought the very same thing about coach killers at OBP.

We’ve purged this roster twice over the last three seasons with little result though.

  12. HawaiianBuc Says:

    @DB55,

The only joke is you. How much film do you watch. I will put anything I own on the fact that Gerald watches more film in one day than you have in your entire life. To say he gets singled more than doubled is 100% false. You are so ignorant it’s really funny.

  13. ruggyup Says:

pick6 wonders if we have multiple coach killers on the roster. My chair faces the direction of multiple player killers. Or, is it the renowned defense expert and staff have created a system and environment that is too complex for our poor little guys and they aren’t smart enough to work in it. But wouldn’t somebody have seen that beginning in OTAs. Aha! Back to the staff. Move all the poor things to London for warm beer and gin and tonics and Earl Grey tea(in the afternoon when they should be kicking the crap out of each other-likewise on Sunday).

  14. DB55 Says:

    Hawaii

You can call me names all you want Hawaii. I can’t win any games for us. I’m sure gmc has watched more film than I have in my lifetime, I’m positive he has. You always trying to call me out but if you had a DVR then you’d know I’m not lying. You’d now that I’m not the only one saying the same thing. The last article joe posted with vik bucs preview said the same thing. For God sakes even mccoy is saying they’re soft which starts with him.

Hawaii you’re a homer but a cool guy. Don’t make me get all NY on you. Cuz if you really got a problem we can meet face to face and see if we can “talk” about it. I’m near the stadium so whenever you want to meet up and call me a joke to my face, I’m all for it. I’m not gmc I wont help you up.

  15. Eastsidebuc Says:

You tell em GMC. You can love Jesus and whoop somebody azz!!!

  16. ElioT Says:

1-5 and now they’re finally realizing that they need to be tough?

    Wow… just, wow…

    Go Sucs!

  17. Burl Morgan Says:

Awesome, Gerald was right on point!!! 🙂

  18. Buc1987 Says:

Blah blah blah. He’ll say this and that prior to the game. Then next week he’ll be trotted out in front of the reporters again saying the same tired bs. Week in and week out that’s all we hear. We just need to do this and that and things will get better if we just….blah blah blah.

Then come Sunday no one backs up the talk we heard all week. EVERYONE on this blog knows what I’m talking about. Including the ones from Hawaii.

Blah blah blah. Sapp used to talk a lot during the week too. Then he went out and backed up is statements with his play. Until GMC and everyone else starts backing up their statements every Sunday, it means jack squat!

  19. HawaiianBuc Says:

    @DB55,

LMAO at your stupid empty threats. Shows how much of a joke you really are. Yeah, I’m going to meet you by the stadium to talk to you, lol. You’re the king internet tough guy!

  20. DB55 Says:

    87

Actually those guys didn’t talk too much at all.

  21. SteveK Says:

    DB55,

    Heck Yeah!

Where are the results? The last ranked D in the past 3 years, and the two years before that on IR.

Ok, freak injuries happen, but WHERE IS THE NASTY?

We need to get the opposing QB on the ground, and we have by and large failed to do it.

    Hawaiian,

If you want to pay GMC $12mm annually, for SQUAT, then so be it.

GMC needs to step up/make the people around him step up.

The D-Line is a collossal failure, and it is a shame. Red and Pewter was built on Defense, and all we have is a bunch of SOFTIES.

Look nowhere then our D-Line to get our team back on track, they are sure paid like it.

  22. Buc1987 Says:

I’ll also add this. Look at you saps buying into this rhetoric. Ask yourselves this.
Has it showed up on the field every week?

PLEASE remember what our precious GMC had to say today on Sunday. See if he backs any of it up? I’d be talking all the time too if I’m considered the leader and the best player on defense in the middle of a contract year and I can’t get jack squat done to prove I’m worth the money to this team or any other.

Talk is cheaper than dirt in Tampa these days…but some of you on this thread eat it up like a bowl of yummy ice cream.

  23. SteveK Says:

    Hawiian,

    You started the name calling.

  24. SteveK Says:

    Suh > GMC

    Nastiness > Hugging the Commisioner

10 sacks for a Buccaneer player? Not since Simeon Rice….

  25. HawaiianBuc Says:

You guys want leadership, he is being a leader. He just called out the whole team. Of course it starts with him, he’s their best player. It’s no different than a poor offense starts with the QB, and the overall performance of the team falls on the head coach. This is the one and only time I can ever remember him doing this, so I don’t necessarily believe it’s the same old thing. We’ll have to wait and see to find out if it works. I suspect it will, but then again, our defense could force a shutout and 90% of you would say it was because Minnesota is so terrible. Funny thing is, it really feels like there are a huge majority of fans that hope we suck, so that you can pound your chest and say you were right. I don’t get that, but to each his own. Meanwhile, I’m taking internet fighting classes so that I can go meet some clown named DB55 and get into a fist fight with him over a football blog.

  26. ElioT Says:

    ’87 is dead on.

Too much talk at 1-5… It’s actually really lame.

    Go Sucs!

  27. HawaiianBuc Says:

GMC is a first team all-pro DT. On a terrible team. I wouldn’t say he’s done “squat”.

  28. DB55 Says:

    Hawaii

You know what play mccoy wasn’t triple teamed on (unlike your mother)? The third play of the game. Mccoy got cut blocked by 1 guy and gave up a 52 yard run through his gap. That would be 1st quarter 14:27 if you want to look it up or you can keep talking out of your a$$.

Thug? I’m not the one calling fans a joke. I call professionals a joke when they perform like pee-wee leaguers. You are the tough guy, calling me ignorant and a joke. Whenever you want to say it to my face you just let me know or you should just STFU. Trust me, I don’t need a keyboard to call you a b*tch.

You are probably some pathetic old man who obviously doesn’t have a clue. Don’t you have some matlock episodes to watch or something. I think they have magnum pi episodes on Netflix, do you know what Netflix is?

  29. Buc1987 Says:

GMC and his ilk would be best served to just apologize to everyone one of us for their failures on the field. Just say I’m sorry and were going to try to get better. Leave it at that instead of blowing smoke up our ass every week.

I bet this defense won’t back up squat this Sunday. Then we’ll all be here next Thursday reading what GMC or some other coach has to say about why they are so bad and how it will get better.

Screw it all. I guess they have to do interviews and say something, but it’s gets old.

HawaiianBuc…how many pineapples is GMC going to eat this year? So far, none.

  30. Joe Says:

Sounds like Sapp has been in McCoy’s ear.

He has. They talk to each other at least once a week during the season.

  31. G8rbuc13 Says:

DB55, I don’t know what games you are watching but McCoy and David are the only ones on our defense who play with effort and passion. So when a play is dead you have an issue with a guy giving someone a hand? It’s called sportsmanship, you should probably look it up. Some of the greatest athletes of all-time have displayed great sportsmanship as well. Look at Reggie White, look at the dynamic between Favre and Sapp. You don’t have to be a thug and a punk to be a good football player. McCoy is an All-Pro and will probably leave this joke of a team if we don’t play better around him and I couldn’t blame him one bit. I hate watching us right now and I’m not out there sweating and bleeding like he is.

  32. SteveK Says:

GMC speaking to the media is awesome, but will the talk be backed up this Sunday?

2 sacks apiece, on the year so far, for GMC and Michael Johnson. When will they win their battles and start putting the QB on the ground?

If GMC is to justify his current contract, paying him $55,000,000.00 for his time in Tampa, then WE NEED SACKS!!!!

  33. Buc1987 Says:

They’re coming into the weakest part of the schedule. Let’s see what they’re made of. My guess is… not much.

  34. Buc1987 Says:

YES before anyone asks… I’m cranky as hell today.

  35. Buc1987 Says:

Can anyone tell me how come whenever Martin does get through the line, he falls down most of the time on his own? Like 3 out of every 4 runs he falls down without being tackled….same goes for numerous players, Vjax as well. That has been boggling my mind all season.

Why do they keep falling down so much?

  36. SteveK Says:

For his career, GMC has 20.5 sacks, and at the end of the year will have received $55million as a Buccaneer.

That is well above $2million per sack.

We could excuse poor numbers with team “wins”, but we all know that we haven’t even done that.

I like GMC, elite get off, nice guy, but where is the nasty?

Our D-Line couldn’t fight their way through wet tissue paper.

  37. HawaiianBuc Says:

    @DB55,

So a guy who gets cut is soft? The real #55 has already come out and said that play was the fault of Barron and his improper alignment. McCoy isn’t perfect by any means, but he’s a first team all-pro. He hasn’t necessarily played like it this year, but he hasn’t had much help either.

I never called you a thug. Nice job making stuff up. I’m not calling fans a joke, I’m calling you a joke. You are proving me more right with every post. How much of a joke do you have to be to threaten someone over the internet? Really? Are you still in high school?

Nice job guessing who I am. You nailed it right on the head. I’m an old man who is trying to find out what Netflix is, so that I can watch some Magnum P.I. episodes. Boy, you’ve got me pegged!

  38. Buc1987 Says:

G8rbuc13…Warren Sapp saw McCoy picking players up and almost threw up over it. Nuff said. No need to pick on DB55 for it.

  39. Bucsfanman Says:

@DB55- If McCoy were 100%(no broken hand) I could agree with you about his play. I don’t know about the double-teams, but I do know we’re getting blown off the ball almost every game. I actually admire him coming out like that and hope his teammates(hello Michael Johnson!) are listening. One guy isn’t going to make a difference, he needs help(did I mention Michael Johnson?!).
It almost makes you wonder about Clayborn and what effect his injury played in this d-line demise.

  40. DB55 Says:

    G8trbuc

When he says we have to have a killer instinct I don’t expect him to pick up players. That’s not bad sportsmanship. Kicking a player in the nuts when he’s on the ground is bad sportsmanship. Spitting in a player face is bad sportsmanship. Picking players up consistently, constantly when you’re losing 30-0 is just soft, period!

  41. HawaiianBuc Says:

I love Sapp as a player, but I would NEVER take any advice from Sapp on anything outside the whistles. Reggie White helped players up all the time, as did Lee Roy Selmon. Hell, I’ve seen tons of players do it every single game of every single week. Even Jameis Winston has done it before! Who the hell cares? This is the most meaningless argument I’ve ever heard. It’s just plain stupid. It makes zero difference on anything, positive or negative. It’s just who he is, and how he was raised. It’s not going to change. If you want him gone, you may just get your wish. We’ll see how that works out for us if so.

  42. Buc1987 Says:

Bucsfanman…don’t worry about it man. You can admire him again next Thursday too after him and his line do jack squat again. Then will do it again next week after that. Just keep admiring the bs talk, talk, and more talk.

  43. Buc1987 Says:

I’ll admire the mouth when it matches the play….PERIOD!

Until then stay tuned for next week’s round of excuses and rhetoric. Then we’ll have few more fans admiring the mouth yet again…

  44. DB55 Says:

    Bucfanman

Excuses! Imo. Vjax plays w a broken/hurt wrist and doesn’t complain. Banks played w sars (whatever it’s called). Mankins played with a torn acl. Like VJ said 95% of players play hurt. No excuses.

You people do realize we were losing 35-0 w 14 mins left in the second quarter right? How in the world can you defend that?

  45. SteveK Says:

31 career sacks for Suh, 20.5 for GMC.

    That speaks for itself,

    Suh > GMC

Ok GMC, thanks for being so nice, but can we please get a win and some GOOD DEFENSE on Sunday?

Or, do you and the rest of the 53 Bucs on the roster plan on taking the afternoon off and being down 35-0, 8 seconds into the 2nd quarter?

Honestly, for a bunch of millionaires and “professionals” you guys stink right now.

Start playing at least league average, so we can at least evaluate our QB of the future.

The D and O Line should just go hug it out, because there is no nasty among them.

  46. HawaiianBuc Says:

    @1987,

For someone who doesn’t like to hear a lot of talk, you sure do talk a lot of smack about our own players? From the guy who brought a “I support you Freeman” sign to a game, you sure have done a 180! You’ve said so many times you are used to us losing, so why the major change? We know you’re going to be really happy if he underperforms, but what are you going to say if he doesn’t? Are you going to eat that crow with some pride, or are you going to make excuses? Or even worse, are you just going to disappear?

  47. Skyline Crew Says:

I just came for the dumb comments about helping people up.

  48. Buc1987 Says:

I don’t want him gone. Maybe we should bring back Schiano the Great (TM) he made GMC a Pro Bowler with all his crazy stunts and all. This is what GMC wanted though. He wanted to go on the hunt and stop all the stunting. Now let’s see how it works out for him. So far not well.

  49. HawaiianBuc Says:

    @steveK,

Over the last 3 years, they have exactly the same number of sacks. Suh was better than McCoy their first 2 years in the league. I’ll give you that.

Would you at least acknowledge that Suh has far superior help on his D-Line? He’s had stud DE’s throughout his career. I promise you that helps.

Would you rather us let McCoy go and sign Suh? I wouldn’t like that, but I could live with it. Other than that, what do we do if we let McCoy go? Who is going to replace him and do half the job he does? You can complain about his lack of stats all day long, but even his harshest critic (that is actually paid to do critique football) will tell you he is a very good player. Most say he is at least the third best.

  50. mac Says:

I hate to say it but Gerald McCoy is overrated. He has moments when he can dominate but those moments are too few and far between. It think he good but not great. He is inconsistent and hasn’t done enough to elevate this defensive unit past below average.

Again. I’m not saying he sucks but I am just disappointed by his “body of work” as a Buc. I hope we can resign him to a new deal but I would not give him JJ Watt money… He is nowhere close to his level…

  51. DB55 Says:

Did you people even watch the video joe posted? Mccoy is calling them soft and said they deserve it. So did Brooks and sapp but if attacking makes you feel better so be it.

Maybe we should sign Michael Sam he might bring some balls with him. Exclude McDonald and gholston they play hard at least, so did Soloman but whatever.

  52. ddneast Says:

I think this is what Warren Sapp was alluding to last week.

  53. HawaiianBuc Says:

    @1987,

One thing that helped GMC that Schiano did was blitz a lot, which did allow a lot more one on ones for McCoy. I will give Schiano credit for that. It helped cover the fact that we had guys like Teo-Neisheim on the end. With Lovie’s defense, GMC has to get more help on the outside, or the CB’s have to cover for more than a second. He’s not going to defeat to many double teams when a QB takes a 3 step drop and is firing to wide open WR’s. Hell, you could single him and he won’t have enough time to get to the QB.

As for the stunting, GMC didn’t hate running stunts, he hated the overuse of stunting. He actually likes to stunt at certain times. But Schiano’s stunts were often times absolutely ridiculous (as an example, he had a stunt where he ran GMC from his spot around to the opposite DE!. Don’t believe me, go back to the archives of Steve White).

  54. DB55 Says:

    Hawaii

If mccoy does leave does that mean we only win 3 games per year rather than 4? Gimmeaf*ckingbreak

  55. Skyline Crew Says:

At least McCoy recognizes that they are weak and need to get “tougher” as he says. Let’s see if it translates to the field.

  56. bucrightoff Says:

Suh has played with middling to very good talent. McCoy has played with horrible to poor talent (outisde Michael Bennett). That GMC is even within 10 sacks of Suh career wise shows how good GMC is. He’s never had anyone to protect him at all. Of course his numbers aren’t that incredible, he’s consistently been surrounding by poor talent.

If he doesn’t stay I hope he goes somewhere with 2 decent rush ends, and then everyone here will be pissing and moaning about how the hell we let him go in the first place as he dominates elsewhere. Amazing anyone is questioning him, it goes to show why this franchise is a debacle, one of the 10 guys this millenium to play well for the Bucs is constantly getting bashed. Pathetic.

  57. Skyline Crew Says:

    Good one Bucrightoff.

Sometimes the way people react to our good players is amazing. It is almost as if fans don’t want us to be successful. It is a strange strange thing.

  58. Buc1987 Says:

HawaiianBuc…it’s called being tired of the all the talk from everyone of the players. Coaches included. They keep admitting what’s wrong every week. Acting as if they got it figured out and it never shows up on the field. It’s gets old.

I am used to the losing, it’s part of being a Bucs fan. I think it should be a prerequisite.

Like I said I just want the play to match their mouths. When and if it does then they can talk all they want about what’s been improving or what needs to improve.
It’s the same tired lines every single week…and it never gets old to some of you.

Like I said it’s a yummy bowl of ice cream to some of you guys. Not one of you gets tired of the talk every…..single….week. They should just make a recording of themselves saying the same shyte so they can just hit the play button next week a repeat it. Or maybe get a trained Parrot.

  59. HawaiianBuc Says:

    @DB55,

But he’s not the reason we are losing. He’s not putting up 5 points in the first half. He’s not covering anybody on the other team (just like our secondary isn’t). He bears responsibly as the leader of the team, but he’s not the reason we are losing. Neither is Lavonte David. Funny how he escapes criticism, because he has certainly had his share of bad plays and missed opportunities. This is a team sport (the ultimate team sport), so 2 guys aren’t going to make a team. If we put guys around them, we will be successful. It’s very simple. By getting rid of them, all you do is create more holes.

  60. HawaiianBuc Says:

    @1987,

I just don’t think you understand. They have to do interviews. It’s part of their job. They can even get fined for not speaking to the media. I really don’t understand what you expect them to say? Would you like them to say “look guys, I got no clue what’s wrong. we’re terrible.”? If they knew what was really wrong, they would have fixed it. They are searching for answers just like us. But they have to do interviews. Most would prefer to not do any interviews, but that’s just not realistic. If it bothers you that much, maybe you shouldn’t read what they say. If you just love to complain, I get that. I have a wife.

  61. Buc1987 Says:

I had season tickets last season. I had to remain as positive as I possibly could while flushing 1500 in cash down the toilet.

    Skyline Crew Says:

“At least McCoy recognizes that they are weak and need to get “tougher” as he says. Let’s see if it translates to the field.”

Trust me…it won’t. Pay attention he’s been running his mouth all season every week. What’s going to change now? I hope I’m wrong 1000%. I hope he goes out and has a 3 sack game. I hope he even has a 1 sack game, but I’m not counting on it. What I can count on is more of the same from these threads next week sticking up for his mouth again as he tries to explain what’s wrong.

    Broken record.

  62. mac Says:

    @ 1987

    WORD!

  63. Buc1987 Says:

HawaiianBuc…but I do understand. I said so in one of the 53 posts I’ve made on this thread. I understand they have to do the interviews. It’s the words they use that I don’t like. I want to hear shame in their words. Like I said I want to hear stuff like our fans deserve better than this. I want them to freaking care about us for once…and I don’t see it or hear it.

They are playing for us whether they know that or not. Like teams say when they win the SB. “We have the greatest fans in the world.” They acknowledge their fans.

It should be acknowledged in tough times too and it’s not. It’s just the same old spin and were supposed to sit here and buy it. I’ve heard players apologize to fans many times before. I don’t hear anything like that from this ilk. Just the same old nonsense week and week out.

  64. Buc1987 Says:

Okay now I’m done ranting. I’m off to Publix with my Warren Sapp jersey on. Remembering a guy that talked the talk and walked the walk. Can’t say the same for anyone on this team right now.

Damn …I have blisters on my fingers!

  65. HawaiianBuc Says:

    @1987,

If you really think about it, that’s silly. You want them to say a certain thing, and feel a certain way. I promise you they care more than all of us combined. There is zero doubt in my mind about that. But most are very guarded as to what they say to the media. Most of the time, they just want to get through the interview and not say anything that is going to be controversial in any way. They don’t want their statements to be a topic of conversation. It’s clear McCoy is using his platform to call out his teammates. To my knowledge, he’s never done that before. Good for him, I hope it works, but I too have my doubts.

McCoy isn’t asking you to buy anything. He’s trying to win a football game, like his teammates and coaches. They don’t, nor should they be worried about what “Hawaiian Buc” and Buc1987 think. This is their jobs, and they want to win for themselves and their teammates more so than the fans. There’s nothing wrong with that.

  66. Howard Cosell Says:

I swear to God that Patrick McIrish has been re-incarated, Lol.
    Funny stuff in this thread.
Never break up a girl-fight or an internet-fight.

#I’ll fight every ****** in here!!!

  67. HawaiianBuc Says:

    @1987,

    I’m going to quote McCoy:

“I’ve been seeing talking for five years,” McCoy said. “We’ve done enough talking; it’s time to play, simple as that. Everyone’s given speeches. I’ve given speeches, Lavonte [David] has given speeches, Vincent Jackson has given speeches, Josh McCown has given speeches, but it’s enough talking. We have to start playing, simple as that. The talking is not going to get it anymore. I’ve been hearing talking and speeches for five years. It’s time to start seeing action, simple as that.”

“I think we’re making it too many excuses,” he said. “There’s always a reason why this is happening or why that’s happening. It has to stop. We just have to say, ‘Okay, I did [something] wrong, I didn’t win that one, I have to win the next one and the one after that.’ If you win 70 percent of your battles, you have a shot to win, simple as that.”

What exactly do you not like about that? Where are the excuses? He’s pretty much saying exactly what you’ve been saying.

  68. Buccfan37 Says:

One thing we all can agree on, the Bucs need a win to stop all this fan opinion animosity. Number one, we are all Bucs fans. Losing breeds contempt.

  69. OneLove Says:

@HawaiianBuc I’m pretty sure all this hate is stemming from a comment that Gerald McCoy made “And it’s not Coach Smith. He prepares us well every day.”

@DB55 Where are you at the stadium?? Someone needs to slap the sh!t out of you for all this nonsense you post!

  70. bucs4lyfe Says:

ok so the Ravens focused squarely on GMC but beyond that game if guys are getting off blocks INCLUDING GMC then were are the sacks and pressures. I remember that weak comment the media was making when saying take away the 19 yard run lol the longest run martin had and look at what he’s averaging. ok well do that, take away MJ’s 2 sacks in one half, take away GMC’s best game and he’s not doing much better than anyone else. Clowney hasn’t played for like 6 games, can I cant name any other big name on the Texans defensive line, that doesn’t stop J.J. Watt from being called the best lineman in the game…..When a “leader” steps up his play that means the troops follow

  71. DB55 Says:

    onelove

    You always welcome to try.

  72. Jonny 2.3 Says:

DB55 is one of the biggest clowns on this site. He brings it day in and day out.

  73. Lynch Says:

@bucs4lyfe- That is the gospel, my friend.

  74. TBFAN813 Says:

I am glad GMC finally snapped on some of the sorry players that he is surrounded with and called them out as soft. As for the Suh is better than GMC debate I will still take GMC every time. Suh is surrounded by MUCH better players on both sides of the ball which takes the pressure off of him. Detroit’s offense is infinitely better than anything the Bucs have put on the field. I don’t believe that any player GMC has played with on the D line in Tampa would ever get on the field in Detroit, besides M. Bennett, in my opinion. People that get paid to cover football all say that GMC is a beast and I value their opinion much more than anybody commenting on some random fan site.

  75. SteveK Says:

    Hawaiian

If rather we sign GMC and Suh!

  76. SteveK Says:

    Bucs4lyfe,

    Awesome post, thanks.

  77. OneLove Says:

    @DB55 I’m sure it wouldn’t take much!

  78. HawaiianBuc Says:

“If rather we sign GMC and Suh!”

    Uh, yes please!!!

  79. Buc1987 Says:

The Saints fans were pissed and Drew Brees (the leader) addressed them and basically told them not to worry about things. It does happen all the time from players in the NFL, they do address the fans and apologize.

No one apologized to us fans after that beat down by the Ravens. YES I do expect an apology when you get beat that bad. YES I do.

BUT if they feel no need to apologize for it, then that’s fine and dandy. Just don’t keep spewing the same old tired nonsense week after week with the same results.

HawaiianBuc …everything you quoted him saying he’ll be right back out saying the same crap next week…and you’ll gobble it right up.

  80. HawaiianBuc Says:

    @1987,

HE’S SAYING NO MORE EXCUSES!! What part of that don’t you understand? You sound like a female wanting an apology? That’s so ridiculous!

I’m not gobbling anything up. I don’t really care what he says. I don’t need him to apologize to me for anything. I don’t need anyone to. Being a fan is a choice. If I don’t want to be a fan, I won’t. If I don’t want to spend my money to go to games, I won’t. An apology won’t mean a damn thing to me one way or the other.

I know he (and the rest of the team) wants to win. I know the losses bother them more than it bothers me. To say they don’t care is just plain wrong. But asking for an apology is really silly. I’ve never in my life heard of a fan wanting an apology, and getting this bent out of shape for not getting one.

  81. HawaiianBuc Says:

I’ll tell you another thing, if I was McCoy and I got as many derogatory twitter messages from “fans” as he does, I wouldn’t apologize to anyone. With all the times you are on this site calling him soft and saying he’s not any good, why in the hell should he apologize to you? You don’t deserve jack crap from him. How ridiculous is it that you expect an apology from a man you constantly criticize?

  82. Stanglassman Says:

DB55 use to annoy me but now his comments are so f-in stupid they just make me laugh.
Hawaiian there are a bunch of us here that agree with you but don’t feel the need to post the obvious.

  83. HawaiianBuc Says:

    @Stanglassman,

Thanks brother. I can’t help myself. I know they are mostly posting to stir the pot, so I figure I’ll amuse them. I better be careful though or I might get beat up on the internet.

  84. DB55 Says:

llok it’s real easy fellas. You don’t like what I have to say DONT READ IT!

  85. DB55 Says:

    Hawaii

Don’t call people stupid and ignorant and you won’t create any problems. What kills me is that you don’t even know what you’re talking about. If you could watch the game tape you’d clearly see that mccoy is not being triple or double teamed on every play but you got the nerve to call people stupid. You don’t critize the players or coaches but you wanna call fans stupid.

So again if you wanna start insulting fans do it away from the keyboard or just refrain from name-calling. That seems fair.

  86. HawaiianBuc Says:

    @DB55,

Can I get the number for Netflix? I can’t find it in my phone book. Can’t wait to watch my Magnum episodes. Just please please please don’t go NY on me. I’m shaking in my old man diapers just thinking about the fact that you won’t help me up.

  87. DB55 Says:

I’m glad we understand each other. I apologize for my comments. Carry on sir.

  88. HawaiianBuc Says:

    @DB55,

Well when you challenge someone to a fight over the internet, that makes you stupid. It makes you a joke. It makes you laughable. It makes you a clown that everyone reads your posts just to feel better about themselves. You made your own bed buddy.

And yes, every play is an exaggeration, but it is at least 75%. I do watch “the tape”. I actually do have a DVD believe it or not. More importantly, I read write-ups by people who know a helluva lot more than you or I.

I have criticized the players and coaches, but not unfairly. I think Lovie has not done well so far, but I’m not going to criticize every damn move he makes. I’m not that biased. I don’t pick on the same guys over and over like you do. McCoy didn’t play his best ball the last game, but he’s played by far the best on our DL. It’s not even close. You don’t like him, probably never have. Therefore, you’re going to be criticizing him no matter what he does. If he has a good game against Minnesota, you’ll either make an excuse or you’ll disappear. I’ve been on this site a lot longer than you, and I’ve seen a lot of guys just like you. You’re all the same. You love to complain and hate on certain people, and all you really want is to be right so you can pound your little bird chest. So yes, I will criticize people like you. If you don’t like it, DON’T READ IT.

  89. HawaiianBuc Says:

Along with a DVD, I also have a DVR

  90. DB55 Says:

Same post you wrote to 87? Got it sir. You are right.

Mccoy is the greatest 3tech in the league
    Lovie is a defensive guru
    It take time
    New system new coaches

Got it, oh yea mccoy constantly gets triple teamed. Check

Oh yea and mccown is a great qb. Got it! Anything else you’d like to teach this stupid ignorant idiot?

  91. DB55 Says:

Of course you do. Of course you do sir. How could I be so stupid?!?!

  92. Hawaiian Buc Says:

So now you’ve gotten so desperate you have to make stuff up? I do believe he’s the best 3 technique though. I’m not alone. He’s certainly top 3. Never said Lovie was a guru. I’ve never made the comparison to the 96 team. Haven’t used the excuse of not enough time. Get your sh!t right buddy. When you make stuff up, you lose all credibility.

  93. DB55 Says:

Dude go to sleep or just put the bottle down.

  94. Hawaiian Buc Says:

I honestly don’t know what’s our problem. I think a lack of talent has to be a factor, but I don’t think it’s the only factor. I think the coaching hasn’t been great, but I don’t believe we have terrible coaches. Their performance up to date has been. I hope and believe that will change, but I may end up being wrong. Our elite players (David, McCoy, and Jackson) haven’t had great years as far as splash plays, but I truly believe that in all 3 cases, it’s mostly a result of poor talent around them and poor coaching. Obviously they are responsible for their play so ultimately they get the criticism, but I damn sure don’t want to get rid of any of them. They aren’t the reason we are so bad. Does that clarify my stance on things?

  95. Hawaiian Buc Says:

“Dude go to sleep or just put the bottle down”

    —————

    What a wonderful retort

  96. Buc1987 Says:

and the battle rages on… dang I thought this thing would have died out by now.

@DB55…Hawaiian Buc’s a blog warrior man. Been there done that with him. At the end of the day we’re all Bucs fans. True blue die hard Buc fans or we wouldn’t be here arguing amongst ourselves for hours about what’s good for the team and not good for the team. Passion for this team is what I think drives these threads and Joe’s the ring leader. Kudos to both of you for keeping this thing going. I hope to one day meet up with some of you guys and buy you an over-priced beer at Ray Jay someday. I don’t take any of this to heart. I appreciate the people that disagree with me just as much as the ones that don’t. I don’t even mind the name calling and fight challenging. It’s all part of the passion that I’m talking about, so I get it.

I hate Saints fans, I hate Falcons fans, I hate Eagles fans with more passion than I have for the Bucs. I do not hate anyone on these threads. I enjoy the fights we get into and I’m pretty sure Hawaiian Buc is with me on that.

Passion is me running down my aisle at a game last season and chucking my season’s pass swipe card out into the end zone with the necklace thingy and all in frustration. I guess what I’m trying to say is exactly that. I love the passion that both of you bring to the table. DB55 is cutting and edgy, goes out of his way to piss people off. I get that. Hawaiian Buc knows his shyte and backs it up well even though we always disagree like 75% of the time. There is a need for both of you on this site. Just keep bringing the passion.

  97. Phillip Says:

lol wow… Love how the fan base feels like they have got to put full blame on a certain couple of players every year for all of our losses… This year is obviously all gone completely wrong because GMC helps the opposition get up off the ground… Or because Doug Martin can’t get free on a run… McCown costing the games he doesn’t even play in…

Btw Stevek wants to know where the nasty is for the 1000th time… 1987 wants players to stop talking excuses and make plays..

Just because you repeat yourselves numerous times doesn’t make it correct or intelligent sounding..

  98. Buc1987 Says:

Phillip…welcome to JBF where we repeat ourselves over and over again. We’ll be back again tomorrow doing the same shyte.

  99. Phillip Says:

DB55 did you just turn 18 or something? Who honestly says we can meet up outside of the Bucs stadium to fight? Are you drunk and feel like a tough guy all of the sudden?

Don’t act like a thug on the Internet dude… Just not a good look for you or anyone really…

  100. Buc1987 Says:

I do payrolls for a large company. I do it from home most of the time. I have a lot of free time on my hands. I make good money but, I have no life actually. I don’t watch baseball anymore, can’t stand the non-basketball association and well hockey in Florida, come on man.

I always steal a line from the show Pawn Stars to sum up my life in a nutshell.
Family comes first, and the Bucs comes second, depending on who ya ask.

  101. Phillip Says:

I was literally talking about this thread alone…

Joe don’t you have a duplicate comment detection? Pretty sure both 1987 and Stevek know a way around it.. 🙂

  102. Phillip Says:

Just giving you a hard time 1987 honestly 🙂

  103. Buc1987 Says:

I’ll meet up with anyone at Ray Jay for a fight if they like. The I’ll run like hell when they actually show up.lol

  104. Hawaiian Buc Says:

Good post 1987! I feel the exact same way. It’s no fun if we all agree. Look forward to arguing with you tomorrow and calling you names!

  105. Phillip Says:

Oh I don’t mind the back and forth talk at all… Just when someone literally says meet me outside the stadium(like they would really do that) makes me wonder what is wrong with that person…

  106. Buc1987 Says:

Phillip I guess it just gets heated in here at times. The summer of 2013 Chef Paul came in here and was concerned for my safety at Ray Jay. I told everyone I’d be out on Himes waving my Buc flag back and forth for 2 hours before the opening home game. It turned out to only be an hour or so, because I showed up late.

The point is he thought I pissed off so many people in here he thought people were going to look out for me and jump me or something. When I first found JBF I did start a lot of shyte with people. Joe use to warn me left and right about it. Others did too. I’ve calmed down a lot since then, even though it might not look like it. Things can get heated.

@DB55 you have to admit it was a silly comment, although I do get it, when name calling starts flying around.

Damn over 100 comments on this thread and 45 of them are mine I think.

  107. DB55 Says:

I apologized for the comment. First and last. What more you want?

  108. SteveK Says:

    Phillip,

WHERE IS THE NASTY ON THE D-LINE?

    IT IS MISSING!

  109. OneLove Says:

    Awwww… https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vml8gRsFdIE

  110. MGM4Life Says:
