Jorvorskie Lane Suspended

October 15th, 2014

Lane explains what he did

Bucs fullback Jorvorskie Lane has been popped by the NFL for violating its substance abuse policy and will have to watch Bucs games on TV like most fans, without pay, for his misdeeds, the Bucs announced today.

Lane’s suspension begins immediately and he will be eligible to return to the active roster Nov. 3, following the team’s game against the Browns.

Lane issued a statement about his violation.

“Today the National Football League informed [me] that I have been suspended for violating the league’s performance-enhancing drug policy. For those who are unaware of my backstory, I was out of the NFL last season due to my weight, which is an issue that I have battled with for many years. I purchased an over-the-counter medication to help my weight loss efforts, and without my knowledge it contained a banned substance. I appreciate the Tampa Bay Buccaneers organization, head coach Lovie Smith, the Glazer family and Bucs nation for standing behind me while I serve this two-game suspension. I look forward to being back and helping this team win football games.”

Stupid thing to do when you’re a barely used player to begin with. Too bad.

Man I just hope Geraldine don’t get suspended for taking estrogen

  8. Buddhaboy Says:

nice DB55, maybe all his testosterone is being converted to estrogen.

I think the heat may be a factor, causing a heat vortex “down below” melting their units. The heat causing the guys to stopp pumping testosterone. It may all be medical with this team.

Lane did a boo boo. Oh my God, what was he thinking? Throw him in jail and throw away the keys. The only PED that should be legal in the NFL is cannabis. The crowd should be high too. Call the home team the Tampa Bay Butterfingers, it would be more entertaining than what passes for the current product on the field. The laughter would shake the stadium and a good time would be had by all.

  11. OneLove Says:

I’m all for it.. In fact I think more of our guys should try to cheat! We obviously don’t have talent, lets get whatever edge we can because we sure could use it!

    FIRE SCHIANO !!!!

  13. Orlando Kevin Says:

The NFL has become rather petty. Goodell … it’s Over-The-Counter which means even our over reaching government doesn’t care. And if it was for weight loss, what’s the big deal?

  14. Zam Says:

The Bucs need to fire their pot dealer and get these guys back on Adderall. Or perhaps tell them the other QB is hiding a big bag of Doritos. Either way.

  15. Buc1987 Says:

What ever are we going to do now? Our season is doomed for sure now.

    losers on every level

  17. buctebow Says:

Maybe they could suspend Leslie Frazier too, that might help!

  18. buc4lyfe Says:

This team can’t catch a break but oh well he’s not being used anyway and lol he only has the longest run of the season by any back

Ahem. Weight loss pill? Just like Adderall. No one is going to say, “Yeah, I was busted red-handed with roids. Ya’ got me!”

  20. Fuzzy Red Coin Purse Says:

At this point does it really matter what happens with any of our guys? In fact we should just sit our stud starters (the money makers), so they don’t get hurt and play the hell outta everyone else to see who’s going to be here next year. I’m kind of turned off by my Bucs for lying to my (our) face about not having to wait to start turning this around and this not being a rebuild. Lovie is a liar and I don’t believe anything he says anymore. We need someone who will shoot us straight. If he would had just been straight forward I would understand more, but now I have no reason to. I hate the smoke that is blown up our backsides and from the game this past Sunday it looks like the Bucs will be at the bottom of the attendance numbers and the top of the draft. AND of course we will not draft a franchise QB, but instead a defensive player, which we need too, but we could get a top QB. Is this the reincarnation of the Culverhouse era? Anyone got an answer for that? We suck and are the laughing stocks of the Nation. Unis are ugly, our wr’s can’t catch, our line can’t block, our rbs cant hit a hole, our d can’t stop anyone, and our special teams blows too. What’s to look forward to?

At least we now know why Lonnie Pryor was brought back

  22. Ray Rice Says:

At least we know someone on this team is trying to win. “If you ain’t cheating you ain’t trying. Whooooooooo!!!” (Ricky Bobby voice)

I’ve never considered smoking weed before but it might make the games more tolerable if I started doing it on game days.

  24. Louis Friend Says:

Lane is making about $30k a week during the season. Whatever he’s doing, he can afford it.

He used it before he re-entered the NFL. It just wasn’t out of his system when he got tested earlier in the year.

This is pretty much a non-story. I think the league should have let this one slide, since he wasn’t in the league when he used the weight supplement.
