Your Inactive Bucs In Pittsburgh

September 28th, 2014

robert herron 0815There are surprises here, for sure.

The first is rookie wide receiver Robert Herron. It seems his swiss cheese hands have caught up to him in the eyes of Buccaneers coaches.

Heck, Louis Murphy was on the street last week yet Herron sits.

Josh McCown, defensive end Larry English, Mason Foster and the rookie guards, Kevin Pamphile and Kadeem Edwards are no surprise. But Mike James is. That tells Joe that Doug Martin is close to 100 percent, and Lovie Smith isn’t afraid of Vaseline-fingered Bobby Rainey.

Our first round draft pick running back is being outplayed by a undrafted free agent off the street. Let’s never take a running back high in the draft again. It’s just not worth it in today’s NFL.

  2. Trubucfan22 Says:

Rainey has as many fumbles as McCown has interceptions. No one is getting out played. Last I saw no one can run on the panthers defense.

  3. MGM4Life Says:

Going to need serious run production from Martin or Rainey or our Fullback to help Glennon…Let’s go BUCS play with some heart and pride today.

  4. Trubucfan22 Says:

Glennon needs all the help he can get. Lol

Le’veon Bell had a nice game against Carolina, last week.

Doug Martin needs to show something today. His mediocre play cannot continue.

  6. Shane Marco Says:

@trubucfan….last week Bell and Blount both had over 100 yds….

you must have not seen panthers steelers.

Yup, Oline needs to have a great game to have a shot. Well a lot of players and groups need to play well…lol. But I do think the key today is being able to run the ball early and often with terrific Oline play. If we can do that then Hlennon will have a shot against the steelers pass d for sure. Ah, Sunday morning “careful” optimism.

VJAX, Evans, ASJ, Myers, Murphy…sounds pretty good.

Bobby Rainey could run for 500 yards today but if he’s fumbling the ball away in the 4th quarter of a tight game what does the stats really mean if we’re still losing. Is rather have a back that surprises me when he fumbles than one that makes me expect he’ll fumble

    Hey, cool!
