Almost ready for the game, wife and kids at Mom’s, AED fully charged, liquor cabinet full, dog sleeping under the bed, neighbors alerted so they don’t call 911 when the cussing starts, local police-fire-ems alerted so as not to over react from 1pm -4pm at my address, local mental health center has bed on stand by, primary care physician ready with Valium, okay just have to get the beer and pizza and ready for some BUCS football. I think what will help this offense go a long way is if we pass on first down. To often we are so predictable that it ends up stifling this offense, so throw a curve ball at their defense with a pass on early downs.

I do like the targets we have for Glennon today. Especially in 2 TE sets.
Doug Martin back in lineup, I think he is tired of all doubters.
Gerald McCoy might not get triple teamed today.
I actually think we can contain both Steeler RBs if our Dline plays to potential…go ahead and laugh at me…lol.
The Bad
MLB Fletcher trying to figure this D with Foster out. We need major improvement from him and the entire D to have a chance.
Stopping Antonio Brown is going to be extremely difficult with our safeties, but beware of the other WR Brown too.

Hoping for a win, but pretty much understand we’ll lose this one. Our record against the steelers sucks, and given the state of the team, I doubt this is the time we buck the odds.
However, a win would be a great gift.

We have a whopping F-I-V-E first downs versus Pitt’s 18 first downs. Pitt has 4-5 times more yardage passing and rushing and have held the ball 20 minutes to our ten minutes. We MUST make some adjustments, come on O-line open some holes and give Glennon some time.

Our O Line has had amazing protection against several blitzes. It’s our defense that has been average at best. I admit the run blocking hasnt been great but our D Line has 5 sacks and they are still taking it to our defense. Thats the part that has been disappointing. Lovie was supposed to transform this defense and has set us backwards.

For his first game of the year, compared to McCown, I’m giving Glennon props. He was far from perfect, but he did okay. Passes were off, but that could be lack of experience with first team.
His release is still a tad slow, but quicker than last year.
With a possible score of 1-10, I give him a 6…which is better than the 2 I would give McCown for his games.
