Michael Johnson Talks Growing Pains

September 22nd, 2014

Bucs big money defensive end Michael Johnson (who?) opened up to media at One Buc Palace this afternoon.

Joe’s got the full audio below, via his partners at WDAE-AM 620.

Johnson was unsure about his ankle injury but was very positive about the Bucs turning things around and talked about how there are inevitable growing pains “when you put a bunch of new pieces together and stuff,” and how chemistry is extra important on the D-line in Lovie Smith’s defense.

Enjoy.

Here’s another great example of the Lovie/lapdog embarrassing talent eval. I don’t want to hear anything from this guy until he starts earning the fortune Lovie dumped in his lap

  3. billy buckaroo Says:

Growing pains are even more evident when you are still shuffling the lineups a few days before the season starts.

  4. Bucsfanman Says:

With all the injuries, we are depending on this guy MORE THAN EVER to step it up.
    Hey Michael, STEP IT UP!

    “Buccaneers-like Meltdown” is now a full-blown adjective
in the English language and a catch-phrase in NFL circles:

    Michael Johnson is a poser.

  11. stevek Says:

Hoy many sacks does our D have?

    Less than 4?

    We are fiercely terrible.

  12. Buc-O's 82 Says:

He has played football all of his of his life. It’s not about chemistry on the D line. Get to the QB or stop the runner. Its not rocket science. STOP IT!

  13. Jim Walker Says:

Unlistenable. The guy is making $9 million for 6 tackles. That is around $250,000 a tackle.

  14. Jeagan1999 Says:

    Michael Johnson.
    Who?
You know, that guy the Bucs are paying a sh*t load of money to rush the opposing teams QB’s, but who so far hasn’t done crap in a Buccaneers uniform! Oh, that guy!

  15. rayjay1122 Says:

And he was the coveted free agent puke up…I mean pick up. Sorry, I vomited in my mouth.

  16. DB55 Says:

Let take a Poll. Was Johnson injured on Thursday or did he play? GO!

  17. Jef Says:

Well that about sums it all up DB55. That video made my day! Lol
