Michael Johnson “Will Try And Practice”

September 16th, 2014

michael johnson 0805Updated 2:05 p.m.: There’s hope for big-money free agent Michael Johnson, at least hope that he’ll practice today and play on Thursday night.

That’s the latest from Leslie Frazier, who talked to media this afternoon at One Buc Palace.

Johnson injured his ankle early in the season opener and didn’t play against the Rams.

Joe will update the situation from One Buc Palace as the situation unfolds this afternoon. The Bucs take the practice field about 1:30 p.m.

*Johnson was on the field warming up during the 30-minute portion of practice open to media.

“Will try and practice”…that’s big of him! You know what, why don’t you just take the rest of the season off and heal up that way you don’t have to make do-no-wrong Lovie and his lapdog GM look even worse by putting out more film of how garbage your game is?

  3. CB Buc Says:

What’s the point? Sit it out and we’ll see you in 12 days… But you better produce, you won’t have the injury excuse!

  4. buctebow Says:

If he can play at a high level then we need him, because we can’t be 0-3 after this game, or the season is really over as far as playoffs are concerned. This is a must win game (sort of like the last one, but more).

  5. buc4lyfe Says:

Hmmm Bowers or Johnson…… You call that options? Gholdston is in, he isn’t giving up that starting spot in the foreseeable future but Bowers and Johnson Damn, if he were a rookie it wouldn’t be so bad but their both essentially the same player because their both invisible on the field and the stat sheet

  6. CB Buc Says:

    Buctebow…. PLAYOFFS?!?!?!? You’re talking PLAYOFFS?!???!

are you serious buctebow ? this season as over before it began. when they hired l&l and that bum of a QB j. MCclown- especially the talented sack master you doesn’t have to call me Johnson, johnson. this team will and I say this with doubt might get lucky and win 2-3 games, and that’s when there opponents are a lock for the playoffs and rest there starters. if you can’t beat two backups one of them third string at home, what makes you think they can beat quality pro teams away? good luck!! looks like you’re in a fantasy football land Atlanta will be up 21 by second quarter.

Prediction: the Bucs will make the playoffs.

    In 2016.

  9. ElioT Says:

My guess is this guy has a “nagging injury” all season which gives him an excuse for playing like a 6’7″ pu**y if and when he gets on the field.

He best chance to even touch a QB is in the locker room shower.

    What a waste.

    Go Yucs!!

Man, you guys are too negative even for me. Johnson was hurt in his first game and out his second, he is neither a success or a failure at this point. He’s just hurt.

It’s cool men lol somebody’s gotta find a positive but sorry he’s been a failure since day one every columnist covering the bucs all of season have tried to find reasons Johnson hasn’t even flashed in practice. The injured theory would work if he was had shown us anything since he got here

    Joe

He could be saving himself to spend his money later because he is not ever getting close enough to any QB to ask for investment advice.
