Jeff Tedford Not At Practice

Joe didn’t see Jeff Tedford on the practice fields of One Buc Palace today. He wasn’t even on the bench wearing a floppy hat with Logan Mankins, Austin Seferian-Jenkins and Michael Johnson.
Per Roy Cummings, of The Tampa Tribune, Tedford was off on personal medical business.
Bucs OC Jeff Tedford was not at practice today. was at a prev. scheduled Dr. appt. aimed at getting final clearance to return to full duty

Dallas…I’m with Joe. I think the O-line did pretty decent against a tough Panthers D.
I saw more than a few times where McCown had plenty of time to throw the ball. He just didn’t throw it.
Right now the person I’m most upset with is Lovie.
The player I’m most upset with is McClown of course. I suppose it’s not his fault though they hired is sorry ass. So then it all falls back on Lovie. It comes full circle.

For all the residents of GOOBERVILLE(Big Dogs words not mine). The Bucs lost the first half of the game and won the second half. They were in position to win or tie the game at the end. JM took a sack in the first half that took us out of field goal range, I know no guarranties but we will never know and it was a really long drive to start the 2nd half. The sky is not falling. The offense played like a new unit and looked nervous. The Carolina defense is top 5. Given the newness as a whole i am encouraged.

Buc1987- regarding how the oline played I disagree. Just because they blocked well here and there does not mean they weren’t completely dominated most of the game. Watch it again. They crashed our line so hard in the first half when we tried to run it was hard to rewatch. The pass pro was bad too but that is because in part we got behind down and distance so play action was ignored. You can’t pick out a couple of good plays at the end when the Panther D was mailing it in and call the whole product good.
That all being said, Lovie and his lapdog are responsible for that sht show we saw Sunday and for putting that highly unsuccessful backup QB as our starter in March. Everyone knows where I stand on this ad nauseum!

I have been watching Buc football here in Tampa Bay for 30 years. That was one of the worst offensive performances I have seen. And I’ve seen alot of shitty play here. I was embarrassed once again to be a Buccaneers fan. I will continue to support them, but damn. I hope Tedford is back this week and calling plays. I’m pretty sure most fans like myself are tired of the excuses.

Damn, dude. It is what it is. If the team pisses you off so much go root for another one. Obviously you have severe disdain for nearly half the starting players and all leadership. You’re not a Bucs fan, obviously. I don’t get it. One effing game and you’re ready to blow up the whole roster and front office. What would that accomplish? Some times it takes a little time, you need to be patient or maybe just start rooting for the other team that came into the league in 1976.

Doesn’t matter:
1. Your complaints don’t make a difference. They only make you feel worse.
2. Excessive complaints after one game are unreasonable.
Fair criticisms are reasonable. Constant complaining and badmouthing the organization, with no recognition that one’s emotional reactions are not necessarily factual, is beyond annoying.

Brandon- you are another member of the fan police squad. If you don’t like what I have to say then don’t read it or find a way to deal with it. Not going to stop criticizing the poor decisions and bad players until they make better decisions and start playing better. As Lovie tends to say every other sentence: “it’s kinda simple as that”!

I’m curious, where were you when Mark Dominik turned this team into a dumpster fire over 5 seasons of pain?
Sometimes, it takes more than 8 months to fix 5 years of crapping the bed and drafting the god awful Josh Freeman.
I’m not saying they will do it, but, I’m not going to kill them after one game when there was so much on this team to fix.
It takes time to cleanse the stench of Dominik out of OBP. Maybe I missed your complaints about Dominik. He had an entire 5 seasons. You have given these guys one offseason and one game.

Ok so if Buc fans come to a Bucs site to express their opinions (sometimes negative) they are being asinine and unreasonable whiners when their opinions do not line up with yours. Well, people here trade opinions. My opinion is that fair assessments of the performance of the team on Sunday are worthwhile. They played like crap. McCown looked terrible, etc… But you and others take it a step beyond with your complaining. I hear a lot of sky-is-falling rhetoric, a lot of crying for Incognito (still), a lot of second guessing everything over and over and over… That is being a crybaby and a whiner, especially when they’ve only played one game. So, I think the doomsayers and constant complainers should be called out… Of course it makes no difference, because all you want to do is complain anyway, and I guess JBF is the best place to continue to vent your crybaby complaints and irrational snap-judgements…

However prior to that considering how very very good the Panthers front 7 is, I think it could have been much worse. You are right though about the run blocking.
So that what I meant by what I said earlier. I could have and should have been much worse. IMO. I know could have been and should have been much worse is still pretty sucky though. So we don’t disagree all that much. Ya see.

Here’s a prediction- Tedford (understandably) takes it slow and easy this season, then retires after the season due to health issues. I don’t say this in anger, just after major heart issues may not be the best time to try and live up to wayyy too much pressure here to magically awaken a horrible offense.
My suggestion- hire anyone who’s worked w Chip Kelly, and draft O Line with every single draft pick unless Winston is available at the Bucs spot (quite possible)

Yeah, let’s plan another O-line overhaul (!?!?!)… Duh… uhh, no… Let’s see how the guys they’ve assembled turn out by the end of the year before making such plans. They also have some young talent in Edwards, Pamphile, Johnson, and perhaps Gilkey. All those guys may develop over the course of the year – that’s 2 1st year guys and 2 2nd year guys. The needle is pointed up for them… By the end of the year, our view of the O-line talent could be quite different, and then with another whole offseason this could become a pretty decent, relatively young, unit. My guess is they’ll still draft one O-lineman relatively early, since Mankins is not a youngster.
