Around The NFC South

August 1st, 2014

The Bucs play a total of six games a year against the hated Dixie Chicks, the Stinkin’ Panthers, and the bounty-loving Saints. For those who want to snoop on the Bucs’ hated rivals, Joe’s going to provide a regular glimpse at what’s happening around the NFC South.

Peter King serves up five impressions from his time at Falcons training camp, including how in love the team is with Devin Hester, a revived offensive line, and likely a heinous pass rush. (Enjoy the video below.)

    Thanks Joe! I love the NFC South. I proudly wore my Bucs jerseys the five years I lived in Atlanta and three years I lived in Jackson, MS (Saints territory). What a great division!

    Good call Joe. Definitely a cool feature that I’ll be checking in on

    @Lutz – My wife and I are thinking about catching the bucs/saints game in NOLA this year. How’d you wearing your bucs gear go at the dome? Definitely want to show support but I’m not looking to bring my wife in to a hostile situation

    @Patrick,
    Never leave a game early if the Bucs lose. Be humble. See live music! It will be a great trip.

    I’ve been to 3 games there. Compared to the 8 other away games I’ve been to, I’d say they are the friendliest group of fans I’ve ever been around. Wear your colors with pride but don’t be an obnoxious douche. I mean, it’s not like you’re a Boston fan.

    @Patrick, i’ve rocked my gear in opposing stadiums around the country, including ATL and NO and did not have a problem. there’s always some bad eggs in a crowd of 60k plus, but generally speaking if you’re not being a jerk most people won’t be a jerk to you. there are always exceptions, and i wouldn’t recommend being a boisterous visiting fan in oakland or philly, but overall if you show knowledge of the game and respect for the other team, we’re all just there being fans. even in the rocking confines of Seattle or the endless passion of lambeau people are more about cheering their guys than fighting you because you’re cheering yours.

    Snootie Sean Peyton deserves a Bucs win, take that. Cason, of stinking NC won’t pick Bucs QB. Good feature keeping up on the enemies.

  8. Patrick in VA Says:

    Thanks for the heads up fellas. Hoping that I’ll be able to subtly and humbly enjoy a thorough Bucs victory while I’m there. If the saints fans at their home games are anything like the ones I’ve sat beside at Bucs/saints home games then it should be entertaining at least. Those were some “interesting” people

    DON’T GO TO OAKLAND WITH YOUR BUCS JERSEY. You might take a kitchen knife to the thigh.
