    Yep, by the way this vote went it looks like Lovie Smith’s job is already on the line in his first year. Tampa Bay has lost their patience and Derrick Brooks just got in the way.

  2. BUC4LIFE79 Says:

    Stats ARE for losers because the only ones that count are in the W/L column…however, just imagine what kind of defense and w/l record we could have had last season if our D line was actually allowed to str8 rush the majority of snaps instead of running in rosie circles around the QB. BUCS SHOULD have a top 10 D this year from that perspective…but SH!T inevitably HAPPENS so who knows….BTW Joe’s, A BIG THANK YOU for not having that audacity to call Father Dungy a Bigot like some other author’s of sites who will NEVER be visited by me again after today.

  3. DB55 Says:

    @buc4life

    I’m with you on the bigot comments.

    looks like lovie did not want to imagine what last years d-line would have looked like rushing 4, I guess that is why, more than likely there could be 3 new starters out of 4 on the D-line.

    I voted Yes to the Top 10 D. I think we have the makings of something very special. I know there will be a few growing pains but I don’t think those pains will come from our top guys. GMC and LVD will play lights out. This is a simpler scheme for them. Its a 3 Tech’s dream.

    As for the Dungy comments, I concure with BUC4LIFE and DB55. Dungy spoke the truth. Its all about distractions, nothing about sexuality. I don’t always agree with Big Dog but on this one he is dead on.

    Keep up the great work Joe. You are doing a bang up job!

    I don’t believe that many teams that have very good win/loss records don’t have very good defenses or very good offenses. You still have to score more points than the other team to win.

    My only question on the draft that some people are dumping on Tony comments are, was he the best at the time and what do you usually get from a 7th round draft choice? How many make the team? Was this a publicity stunt to gain attendance? Who cares since this is not concerning the Bucs?

  7. Brian Says:

    9 of the top 11 defenses (points against) in 2013 made the playoffs…one of the teams that missed it won 10 games…

  8. ToesOnTheLine Says:

    I voted no for this year, as I think the Bucs will be in the 11-16 area statistically on D. It’s a new system and coaching staff, but the following year could be a scary good D?
