Will Bucs Fans Deliver 3 Million?

May 14th, 2014

joemugshotIt’s only May 14 and Joe is on pace to shatter the 3 million mark of pages viewed on JoeBucsFan.com in a single month.

Joe thinks it can be done. Tell a friend about how you enjoy the Bucs news, madness and mayhem here.

Thanks to all readers, and especially to the teeny, tiny percentage of you who leave comments in the comments section. Often, those comments are like flowers or warm chocolate chip cookies or funny greeting cards, and often they’re like bags of feces at a doorstep or evil ramblings worthy of a restraining order. But they have their place in the landscape.

As always, stick with Joe through the day and night for all things Bucs. And if you think your business could be well served by having an advertising presence here, feel free to email joe@joebucsfan.com. Make Joe a reasonable offer, and he’ll probably take it.

  1. ToesOnTheLine Says:

Pen a few more Glennon pieces and I’m confident you’ll break it! As always thanks for giving us a place to type, gripe, and read the latest Bucs hype.

  2. Mike Says:

Hey Joes’! I don’t always agree with you guys, well more not then so! But I do love the site! I tell all my Bucs friends about it. Again…… I do get pissy at you sometimes but your site beats all! No questions asked! Keep up the hard work guys!

Joe has no problem with those who disagree with him and think he’s a moron. There are thousands out there. Joe just can’t tolerate the lies and misrepresentations. Joe’s responsible for every word written here. –Joe

  3. Tampabaybucfan Says:

Support Joe’s advertisers…that’s what it’s all about….Make sure you tell them you saw their ad on JBF!!!

Like ad to the right….”Welcome to Moe’s”….Welcome to Joe’s”

  4. The_Buc_Realist Says:

I tell everyone how great the site is Joe, I do love all the coverage of stories and how quick you get them out. As the third poster in your comment section since you started your site to what is now is fantastic. Keep it up!

I do warn those that Joe’s Eye-ball test for players is sometimes off, though I know he wants what we all want, and that is a successful football team.

  5. Charley Says:

First Off -Congrats on the success Joe. This has been my and many others favorite place to go for bucs news.

Looking to the future, any chance we can look forward to some simple site upgrades now that the audience continues to grow?

Ability to upvote/like comments in threads is a feature widely used on similar websites that is fantastic. Diminished load time on site pages and less Ad-Clutter or a better UX/Design for the site? I know you need to make money, but many websites make great ad money while also finding a better way to handle the look, feel, and load time for users.

Thanks again for all your hard work Joe.

Joe’s load time is actually tested regularly and ranks reasonably well in the scope of the Internet. The thumbs up/thumbs down feature is one Joe’s considered for a while. Maybe that will happen. Joe likes the look of the site and that won’t change. Things have gotten better for many mobile users and Joe has more things in the works for them. –Joe

  6. tickrdr Says:

    Kudos and congrats to you!

  7. Adrian Says:

Keep it up Joes!! Great site for Buccaneers info

  8. BucsFan47 Says:

As much as you dislike having Glennon as our future, I love reading this site. Now that’s lofty love.–Joe

Keep up the great work Joe.

    GO BUCS!

  9. OAR Says:

    Joe
Thanks for the great Bucs site. I come here to be informed, and pending the Bucs topic; laugh, cry, bitch, complain, or contemplate!
Although sometimes after reading some comments, I think for real? That’s the sperm that won?

  10. brandonbucfan Says:

Have only been in the site for about six months but check in with it many times daily. Like most don’t always agree but that is what makes sports and this site such a part of our lives. Keep up the great work..will patronize your advertisers!

  11. Buc1987 Says:

    “madness and mayhem here.”

Joe that’s an understatement at sometimes.

  12. nate_tweetz Says:

The Joebucsfan logo needs an upgrade with all these hits now. Instead of one gold tooth, he needs a gold grill, and instead of beer he needs to be spraying a bottle of Cris! lol. Good site… I hit this thing up constantly throughout the day. Morning Joe Features are spectacular (Morgan yesterday was unbelieveable).

The ads are a necessary evil. The asian dating site ones look like a Dateline NBC “To catch a epredator” trap, but other than that, they don’t really bother me. The suggestion from Charley about being able to “like” comments would be cool. Overall, great job Joe’s

Joe’s glad the Asian dating is being enjoyed, along with CougarPals, LoveAgain, DominicanPrincess and the other ads from Joe’s national providers.-Joe

  13. theDON Says:

troll the site like michael jackson trolling the playground. Hey Oh

  14. StPeteBucsFan Says:

    Joe

As a former broadcast journalist who covered sports let me compliment you.

I don’t always agree with you but I certainly respect your work ethic and commitment to ferreting out the facts.

Congrats on your success! You two deserve it!

  15. Buc1987 Says:

I don’t have to state how much I love the site. It’s quite obvious by now. I’m all over this place day in and day out. Night and day.

LOL I will admit that Joe has pissed me off a few times. So much that I searched around and started looking at other sites to visit instead. They just don’t compare to JBF’s articles.

Joe has a knack for getting everyone’s mind going. He also has a knack for getting everyone fighting with eachother too imo. No problem there Joe. I’m not blaming you for the fights, I enjoy them.

  16. Schlomie Gentile-Schlep Says:

Joe, your segments on the radio should be “promo’d” as: “The Stuttering Stammering Host with Joe Buc’s Fan!”

  17. Mike Says:

    I think 1987 said it best! ^^^^^^

  18. The_Buc_Realist Says:

Joe, if you want to hit 4-5 million you need to start a daily article, ” Path to the future”.

  19. deminion Says:

Been a reader on the site for like 3 yrs love it thanks joe

  20. SteveK Says:

    You go Joe(s)!

This is the best Buc’s site in all the interwebs.

Bucsnation doesn’t hold a candle to this place.

I love that we can all express our points of views.

Thanks for being the best at Bucs coverage!

    Go Bucs!

  21. Shawnbucfan Says:

Thanks for the great work joe . I enjoy wasting valuable work time reading your site .

  22. Diehard_Bob Says:

Hey Joe, Congrats on the site traffic! As my name suggests I am a diehard fan and an optimist so as you can imagine I don’t always agree with what you right. With that being said, what I do appreciate is your quick accurate (for the most part, LOL), reporting of all things Bucs. I know that you don’t just throw a bunch of cr@p against the wall to see what sticks and that’s why I keep coming back. My friends and co-workers who are also Bucs fans are sometimes amazed at how quickly I pass on breaking news and the reason why I can is because I hit your site (along with PFT) on the average of 10 times a day just to see if anything is happening. So keep up the great work and as always . . . GO BUCS!!

  23. Chris@Apple Roof Cleaning Says:

Myself, and all the gang here at Apple Roof Cleaning love you guys and this site.
But, I have to be honest here, we miss Thomas 2.2
Ok, he did kind get out of hand, but I remember how much excitement he generated on the Paradise Transportation Luxury Bus ride down to Lee Roy Selmons.
Well, there was a rumor that he was on that bus!
I know what happened to him, and why it happened, but he did provide some great entertainment here, until he crossed the line.

Anyhow, keep up the great work, and enjoy your well deserved success.

  24. RJBucnut Says:

Congrats joe! Even though I don’t agree w some of ur takes I love ur insight and my friends and i are loyal readers of ur website. Keep it coming joe!

  25. Brian Says:

Joe, I am a huge Bucs fan and I love your site and the
work that all of you do! Have you all thought about forming your own
TV show dedicated to Bucs and Rays coverage? I would definitely tune in to watch rather than being forced to watch BSPN!

  26. Charley Says:

Hey, I wanted to say thank you for replying to my inquiry Joe.

Born and raised in Fort Myers but now living in NYC, this site is my lifeline for staying connected to my favorite team. I just happen to work with online design and Google AdSense/Adwords, so I spend too much time critiquing site design and don’t mean for it to be a knock on the layout of joebucsfan. I know you are making improvements to the site so thank you. And honestly, I don’t know of anything better out there for bucsfans!

But fun to think- even if for a second- a sexy site re-design (Not major, but polished maybe) could be great to go with new coach/gm regime + uniform changes etc…

Hey a guy can hope yeah?

    Thanks again.

  27. Bucfan#37 Says:

I have not visited any other Bucs site. I don’t see the need to. This place feels like home. Keep up the good work!

  28. Chris@Apple Roof Cleaning Says:

@Brian – I agree, Joe should have a TV Show, maybe even if it was only carried on Cable.
Perhaps they should approach Brighthouse Cable, and parlay the success of Joe Bucs Fan to their own TV Show ?
The timing is right IMHO, because as soon as we start to win again (and we will), The whole Tampa area is gonna go nuts again for anything Bucs Football related.

  29. RedTide02 Says:

Joe, Love the website. Like many readers I don’t always agree with you but do enjoy reading your articles and your readersl comments. I lived here in Houston since 2005, your site and The Big Dog’s radio show is a frequent stop for me to read or hear. Even being from Houston and as much coverage as I saw on JF, I still wasn’t sold on him. I am so glad we drafted the right Aggie. I do see a totally different team and possibly an offense that we’ve never had. I can’t wait for the season to start. Joe keep up the good work!!!!

  30. fb Says:

Don’t mention the big dog business model…. Joe will run you for it. Here’s to 3 million!!!!

  31. Sweets Willie Says:

Joe brings the different support groups around the camp fire to sing songs and hold hands and then hands out weapons! Love the in fighting, 3M views! JBF t-shirts are coming!

  32. William Says:

    Great job Joe(s)!

    Keep it up.

  33. OB Says:

Joe as many have said this is the premier place for all things Bucs. On the ads, if you could have them not self start so the video is always going would be the only thing, the rest is money since you are not only a Bucs fan but a business.

As for the like/dislike, if you do it, and I hope you do, make sure it is also under all the pictures also.

I still hate the need to click “read more” to see more, but that is life with anything you like, there is always something you don’t like.

Now if you would post where you are going to be in the different watering establishments around town, including the Southshore, you would have more people trying to see you.

Thanks for your passion and caring.

  34. William Says:

hey don’t forget the baseball caps. I want one. Caps will be worn more often…

  35. Bucbob Says:

One million of those hits were probably just from me alone!!! Love the site(I am addicted!) I appreciate all the hard work involved, and much success to you in the future!

  36. bucray1 Says:

congrats joe. imo you’re doing a great job with this site. I don’t always agree with what you print , but damn it , this is America and i’ll fight to the death your right to do so. once again , congrats and go bucs.

  37. Chef Paul Says:

I’ll sure do my part to help get you to 3mil!!

  38. Harry Says:

Love the site Joe(s) and wish you all the success in the world. JBF is by far my favorite sports website. Thank you for all your hard work and the humor you also bring to your articles (like making the MGM crazy).

    Your Brother in Johnny Love

  39. Me First Says:

You go joe!!! (Gene deckerhoff voice)

  40. Terry Says:

I would like to thank Joe. I’m far away of the Bay and our Bucs but with your site im closer.
    Greeting from Switzerland.

  41. Bucfan#37 Says:

I’m against the option to vote up our down a comment and make it disappear. If you decide to do this, at least make the opinion able to be read by clicking to read the comment. The website shtfplan.com does a great job on unpopular comments.

  42. buccanAy Says:

Joe cant tolerate the “lies and misrepresentaions”!!?!! Seriously!?!

  43. Willy the Purple Helmeted Warror Says:

I too appreciate your site. I sometimes get very worked up but after a while I agree with you on something else. Wished you had your own radio program where you didn’t have someone else dominating the subject matter. best wishes for 5 mil hits. Did you get the joke? “5” Remember it’s all about 5 LOL

  44. Joe Says:

Thanks for all the kind words guys. Touched. Really.

  45. Warren Says:

Hard work pays kids! Congrats guys…no small feat for a self-run blog…practically all word of mouth growth! Insane…

  46. BucsfaninChina Says:

Hfor yes to the thumbs up\thumbs down feature Joes! Love the site, y’all definitely have carved out your niche for Bucs news, congrats on the success!

  47. b.Bruce Says:

Joe,I’m a chef in Lakeland at Scarpas itialan restaurant.can I send you some things to give us some advertisements.dinner on me for you and a friend.

  48. mpmalloy Says:

The 3rd person thing originated on the Official Bucs Message Board
(before it was shut down) but Malloy has to say that no-one does it
as well or as consistently as Joes…….except maybe The Rock, but that’s
    another story.

Although Malloy has MGM tattooed on his bicep he sincerely
appreciates Joe’s views and he realizes that if Joe didn’t love
Johnny Football and didn’t think Glennon was a back-up QB then the
internet would be a much more boring place.

Maybe the rise of JBF.com will parallel the return of the
    Tampa Bay Buccaneers to respectability?

  49. phil Says:

Flowers or warm chocolate chip cookies? Wuss.

  50. MegaDaveUK Says:

As a UK Bucs fan, JoeBucsFan is an absolute requirement for me – 8 or 9 times a day. Yes, it might be an obsession, but it’s one that gives entertainment and knowledge.

    Hall of Fame Fan Site

  51. Hawk Says:

Just thinking out loud Joe, but it seems to me that just two more Johnny Gazelle/Mike ‘Backup’ Glennon articles should get you to 3mil.
    (I’d be almost 2mil of them) ;^)

  52. BoJim Says:

Joe, thank you for this wonderful site. I’m so happy I found it. I’ve learned more about football in 3 months than in the last 30 years. And the comments made by other users ain’t so bad either. 😉

  53. Joe Says:

Joe, thank you for this wonderful site. I’m so happy I found it.

    Joe aims to please. 🙂
