    i like that quote

  2. pablo Says:

We know you won’t let us down Evans.. Glennon will let you down though.

  3. Jonny 2.3 Says:

Not much of a talker it seems. I am sure he will express his feelings properly when he imposes his will on opposing CBs.

  4. bucrightoff Says:

Evans definitely didn’t let Johnny down. He carried him into the 1st round after all.

  5. Tampabaybucfan Says:

We now have three matchup problems…..Jackson, Evans & Wright……hopefully, we will add a 4th today…..I like Lee or Matthews….but would be happy with Oline in round 2 & another WR in 3…..

  6. gatrbuc17 Says:

Say it with me guys………………MONCRIEF MONCRIEF!!!

  7. BucsQcCity Says:

Demps will stretch the field for VJ, ME ant Wright. Look out!

  8. Nicholas Carlson Says:

I believe him. But what I need are assurances like this from Mike Glennon. He needs to go from gutty, skinny kid, to darts-thrower with a higher completion percentage. McCown is not the long term answer.

  9. gatrbuc17 Says:

Joe just can’t put his head on the pillow at night and imagine McCown and/or Glennon hoisting the Lombardi trophy with the Glazer family at their side.

And therein lies Joe’s main problem.

Ive been following the Bucs since 76 JOE………..Get with the program

  10. dee Says:

    Moncrief

  11. Buccanole Says:

New Bucs WR Mike Evans: “I don’t know if Tampa has a beach or not. I’m not up on the geology of it.”

  12. BamBamBuc Says:

VJ and Evans outside, Wright and Sefarian-Jenkins @ TE and it would be difficult to stop on 3rd and 7 or less. Against man, find the singled up guy at the marker and throw it high. Against zone, if the safeties go outside hit a TE in the seam and if they go single high hit either WR outside.

Just need a QB that can make those throws.

  13. Nybucsfan Says:

I like Evans as a wideout but waisted pick at seven won’t help make the playoff and they will be watching the Super Bowl at how with us with the jokes we have at QB a ten year backup and a 217 yards a game bum if any on you really believe in them you should be soccer fans not football because you have no clue about this style football

Did you know both of last years NFC Championship Game QBs, and 3 of the final 4 QBs in the NFC, averaged under 212 yards passing a game?

    The more you know…

  15. Nybucsfan Says:

How many points did the Super Bowl winner score in that game

  16. Nybucsfan Says:

How many yards did our QB have the last two games.

  17. Nybucsfan Says:

If you can’t score you can’t win Glennon can’t get out of his own way and point blank sucks and the other is a ten year backup your ok with that for your team

  18. Nybucsfan Says:

And I’m pretty sure your not comparing Glennon to the teams in the NFC champ. Game cause I’m pretty sure they bring something to the table Glennon doesn’t

  19. Tampabaybucfan Says:

    @ NY Bucsfan

Give it a rest….Glennon is on the bench for 1-3 years….perhaps we will draft a QB this week or one next year….Whining about Glennon is a waste of time at this point…for you & for Joe….its time to focus on Round 2…..

  20. gatrbuc17 Says:

NYbucsfan. I dont know how long youve been a Buc but Im SURE its not longer than me. When we won the SB we allowed 11.8 ppg………………………Offense scores 17 a game you win a Lot.

  21. biff barker Says:

I hope he remembers to keep the mattresses off the lawn.

  22. gatrbuc17 Says:

    @ Dee…………………..Moncrief
    Thanks man

  23. gatrbuc17 Says:

Glennon set an NFL rookie Record of his first 8 straight games with a TD throw
Glennon set an NFL rookie Record of 10 TDs to One int.
He did so with no 2WR 3 and 4 string RBs, an Undrafted Rookie TE, behind a HORRID OL, with the worst Coaching in the NFL
Some of you people are SUPER myopic

  24. Bob Says:

Don’t forget the speed of Demps matched with these two guys.

  25. bucrightoff Says:

Remember the old Sapp quote? Get us 17 and we’ll get you a win? Time for people to realize Lovie is cool with that approach. Rather win ugly than lose pretty.

  26. Eric Says:

Better get open quick if MG is the QB.

    Not much buying time scrambling.

  27. ChuckInJAX Says:

    Dear Mike,
Welcome to Tampa Bay, we’re excited to have you aboard and are looking forward to your anticipated contributions to our winning ways! Please do us the favor of leaving whatever ‘posse’ you may have, though, back in Texas. You can visit them in the offseason, if you really have to…

  28. Nybucsfan Says:

I have been a fan for a ling time I fly down from NY to see games and I love D but not the same game it was when we won the Super Bowl. I would hope you can see that. It wasn’t to much fun last year when the away team fans were louder than the home team. You make all the excuses you want why Glennon passed for 200 a game this is the nfl no one cares win or get someone who will. JF5 passed for over 4,000 and how many td he didn’t win and he is gone

  29. Wausa Says:

Moncrief is slow and his production dropped. I’d like T. Jernigan DT in round two, D. Yankey OG in round three, C. Kirksey OLB in round five, M. Davis WR in six and T. Swanson OC in seven

  30. Tampabaybucfan Says:

Glennon is our backup QB….a good, young, inexpensive backup. We have just as good a chance to win a SB with McCown as we did with Brad Johnson…..as long as (and this is a very tall order) we have a dominant defense.

Glennon has been demoted….time to get off his back.

  31. Tampabaybucfan Says:

Where was all the whining when Dan O was our backup…..that’s right….no whining because everyone thought we had our “Francise” QB……so much for that.

  32. Sweets Willie Says:

I am confident the Tedford O can put up at least 20 points a game. Our D can hold opponents to 17. Its gonna be a fun season and we will add some undrafted gems as well. Sweets out.

  33. buc'd Up Says:

I am a Glennon supporter but I did see the available upgrades at qb in this draft and started to drool. That being said, get off Glennon’s back. The people who make decisions that count have made their choice. We here, as annonimous fans hide behind screen names and bash players because the responsibility doesn’t fall on our necks and or our careers if we make a drafting or signing booboo. Save the rage for opposing teams and get behind what’s going on here. Evans, Jackson, Wright, Martin, Demps…. Sounds like the start of a nice little defensive nightmare. Go BUCS!!!!!!

  34. Underdog_Lefty Says:

Just woke up on the left coast here after drowning the night and early morning away with martinis trying to wash away the reality that the Bucs could have finally had the most exciting college QB to enter the draft in decades as their future, franchise QB. Instead, with the 7TH PICK of the draft, they pick the concensus SECOND best receiver in a draft that is allegedly full of MANY other very talented receivers. And we fans are suppose to be happy about it?

It took me months to even believe JF could actually be the guy, once believing that Garoppolo, McCarron or Murray would be better choices. At least until I dove into JF highlight clips on the internet and began to realize the kid has it, that somethng special that makes everyone around him play better, believe a little stronger, try a little harder. The “it-factor” is the guy is a born leader on a football field, his presence simply changes the game for the better of his team on every play. No receiver can do that, only a QB.

The Bucs were poised to take him, the kid might even have started a string of 10 years straight of stadium sellouts, 1-2 Monday night games per season, the Buccanneers might actualy become perennially relevant again. I was ready to run across the GGB cheering the Bucs, even told my wife it was time for me to take early retirement, it was time for us to move back to Tampa. Instead, the Bucs pick the 2nd best receiver with the 7TH PICK!

L&L recently said there were several franchise QBs in the draft but their favorite was not necessarily one of the prognasticator’s top picks at QB. Silly me, fell for it too, thinking they were willing to take the kid believing that a new, innovative OC who also grooms QBs and has a new “mystery” offensive system carefully kept under wraps would be a perfect match for the slinging scrambler from Texas. Instead, Glennon was their franchise guy all along, unless it’s just one more smoke screen waiting to clear.

Would someone please turn on the bathroom fan, this one really stinks. And oh yeah, bartender, another Kettle One martini, shaken not stirred, round 2 is only a few hours away.

  35. Nybucsfan Says:

Underdog you are so right but half the fans who think they know football and think all you need is D in today’s nfl are not going to like it. They think Glennon and 10 year back up can score 14 points and go 3 and out every time will take them to the Super Bowl. What are they going to do kick the ball to VJ and Evans cause we don’t have anyone to pass it. Lovie cut josh but now that josh coached high school football he is a better player really lol

  36. Couch Fan Says:

Love how your an expert on what people think. Apparently Lovie thinks the same way but I guess he doesn’t know football either. Stop being such an arrogant prick. You aren’t anymore knowledgeable than anyone else on this site. But hey keep spewing your stupidity, its entertaining.

  37. Buc1987 Says:

    Go Bucs!

  38. Nybucsfan Says:

Couch fan supidity hmm why cause we use facts like the bucs QB avg 217 yards a game and less than 2 td or josh was cut by lovie and coached high school football or maybe it’s hard to draft a wideout 7 when history shows you can get value late in the draft at WR

  39. MadMax Says:

Im buying your Jersey Evans! Whats the number?

  40. BoJim Says:

    Nybucsfan Says:

“half the fans who think they know football”

Mind sharing some your football knowledge with the rest of us losers? D-head.
