NNNOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

NNNNOOO

Goodbye, Johnny.

Johnny Football is now the proud property of the Cleveland Browns. A 20 second moment of silence was held at JoeBucsFan.com headquarters.

The most electric and talented quarterback in the 2014 NFL Draft will not wear pewter and red. He won’t run Jeff Tedford’s mysterious offense. He won’t turn the Stadium on Dale Mabry Highway into a rocking cauldron of energy filled with screaming, sweaty drunk college girls.

And that’s ok.

Yes, Joe has been all-in on the Johnny-Football-to-the-Bucs bandwagon for many months. But Joe’s not shedding tears.

This is football, after all. And Johnny Football isn’t the only quarterback in this draft with “franchise” QB potential.

Hardly.

Joe’s beloved Bucs can still find their guy. Tedford’s short list of draftable QBs who could win a Super Bowl surely has more than one name on it.

  10. bucrightoff Says:

Well Joe, I sincerly hope we can get back to focusing on actual members of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and to never hear Manziel’s name again around here. He’s not a Buc, we don’t care.

  11. bucsd04 Says:

If your drafted by the Cleveland browns………then you might be a crappy player! If your shorter than your girlfriend…… Than you might be a crappy player! If your receiver and o line go before you in the draft…….than you might be a crappy player!!

  12. Oil Derrick Brooks Says:

But does that mean the Johnny articles are over??

I have a feeling we have not heard the last of Mancrush’s name around these here parts. Joe just can’t let it go.

  18. Paul McCartney Says:

You know it alls don’t know anything about what a franchise QB is because you’ve never had one. This is the same franchise that traded away Steve Young. History shows that we always make the wrong decisions when it comes quarterbacks.

  19. mpmalloy Says:

    Jiminy Christmas

  20. MadMax Says:

How about a write up of our newest member MIKE EVANS….WELCOMING MIKE EVANS!!! smh…..

Scroll down sir and read more about Evans than you’ll find elsewhere. –Joe

  21. Greg Says:

L&L are dumbasses, no better than the POSs that have proceeded them the last five years! Bucs irrelevant again, maybe we will be just out of the running for crab stealer next year too!

  25. Orca Says:

Joe will be travelling to Cleveland for Browns’ training camp this year. Probably consider JoeBrownsFan.com at this point.

  26. Oil Derrick Brooks Says:

It’s not called the Factory of Sadness for nothing.

  27. Greg Says:

But at least we have the Stork as our future QB!

  28. BucsDraft Says:

Thanks Joe for acting like a man. I’m sure it is hard, but like you said this is football.

  29. Oahubuc Says:

That’s what Johnny said when they called his name.

  30. Kingpin Says:

    Lol!!!!

  31. S95 Says:

HAHAHAHA JOE! are you okay? are you destroying your liver even more then you usually do since we didn’t pick manziel? don’t turn to Beer for your sadness. hahahaha poor Joe.

  32. getaclue Says:

We could ed of traded up to that spot on the cheap I though we pulled the trigger when I saw the trade, how sick would it have been to get manziel and his go to guy

  33. flmike Says:

And the Cleveland fans welcome JF to the Factory of Sorrow…

  34. passthebuc Says:

    I just heard the news.
    Joe has a new gig.

Why do these eyes of mine cry
Don’t they know it’s the end of the world
It ended when you said goodbye

    *sniffle*

  36. rayjay1122 Says:

Exactly Greg. We will most likely go OL in the 2nd unless we take Bridgewater or Carr. Glennon just doesn’t excite me. We have 2 back up QB’s right now. I am totally dissatisfied so far and I am also as thunk as you drink I am.

  37. andres Says:

Ok great Joe, now please let it go!

  38. tgregs Says:

Why not start “Joe Browns Fan” Fertile ground and good sniffing

  39. Paul McCartney Says:

Hey Lovie, I hear Rex Grossman is available.

  40. P'cola Buc Says:

He WILL be on the field along with the Bucs on November 2nd in Cleveland. When the Bucs play the Browns

  41. Greg Says:

@ RayJay, I’m getting drunk now, these shitheads are no better than the previous three idiots that ran this team into the ground!

  42. Bill T Says:

Jesus, you see Carr’s girlfriend? U got Manziel’s hot GF and of course Bortles’is lights out

  43. Brandon Says:

Well, there’s a bigger, faster version of Manziel available for later in the draft in Wyoming’s Brett Smith. I doubt that despite my frequent mentioning of Smith that Joe hasn’t bothered watching any game tape on him…. if he did, you would definitely be hearing his name here…not Aaron Murray’s, that’s for sure.

  44. Buc1987 Says:

Joe every thing’s going to be alright….rock a bye.

  45. nate_tweetz Says:

Are we going to see a name change to this website? Joebrownsfan.com??? I’m more intrigued about what the Bucs do here on out with the rest of our picks. Not too excited about Evans… not disappointed either… just a “blah” feeling. No fun on draft night. We’ll see what happens tomorrow.

  46. feelthepewterpower Says:

Anyone think Land L were trying to trade back up for johnny, and that’s why the browns jumped up to grab him?

  47. Nybucsfan Says:

Moo is right another year of shit QB play better trade up for Carr or we will pick in the top 10 next year

  48. ForgotAboutDre Says:

Whats funny is that Cleveland wasn’t all about Johnny either. They started with a CB that wasn’t expected to be picked until much later in the round (and they already have Joe Haden!). Then, when then 20′s came around they were like, “Oh he’s still here, lets get him I guess”.

  49. Nybucsfan Says:

    Nooooo

  50. Buc1987 Says:

Schiano saw something in Glennon, so does Tedford and Lovie. They saw the tape remember?

  51. SailorJerry Says:

What a great day for the Bucs. Now Little Johnny can flash his obnoxious money sign in Cleveland.

Feel sorry for Cleveland Fans. Tim Couch, Brady Quinn, and now Manzel is added to the list of first round QB BUSTS.

We are not going to draft a QB! Mike Glennon is the future!

“Anyone think Land L were trying to trade back up for johnny, and that’s why the browns jumped up to grab him?”

No and now you can step out of JoeBucsFantasyland.

    ——————————————————–

lol, dude…I’ve never advocated to pick Manziel at the seven spot. I just asked if anyone thought if the buccs were trying to trade to up, hence the move by CLE. Aye….forehead slap.

  59. Fb Says:

I was kind of hoping we could pass on him in the second and really make joe upset. Well we will miss joebucsfan now that he is a browns fan. At least we won’t have to read the articles any more. On to our next player

  60. Tnew Says:

    Trade up for Carr.

  61. Jerry Says:

Oh, Joe. We will be fine. Get back in the shower with Rachel.

  62. Fb Says:

That would be the best if glennon did turn out to be a good QB. Joe would have to move to Cleveland. And who goes to Cleveland?

  63. Travis Davis Says:

Wow. Not one but two slow and tall ass receivers.. The Twin Towers??? Last time I checked the towers were reduced to rubble. Another depressing draft where we past up on Franchise changing talent.. We will always be overly conservative.. afraid to make the high risk high reward pick. Well if evans doesn’t work out we can always send him to NE. They always seem to find use out of our sloppy seconds.

  64. Bryan Says:

I just do not understand the sourness on Glennon. I am not a member of the mob but would not be offended if I was associated with it either.

    Peyton Manning (Rookie Season)
    16 games, 3739 yard, 26 tds, 28 ints

    Mike Glennon (

  65. Bucks_Sam Says:

He’s the first player picked in Round 1 to look p*ssed off.

I’m glad we didn’t get Johnny Cry Baby….

Who are the browns draft for their next QB after Johnny Clevand?

The Browns… QB Kiss of Death.

  66. Drew Says:

Joe… if there’s no trade with NE on the clock, then MG is our QB of the future.

  67. Chris@Apple Roof Cleaning Says:

God, I was HOPING we would trade up, and go get Johnny.
Imagine what Tampa could have been like, with Manziel throwing to not only Evans, but Jackson too!

  68. Orca Says:

Seriously… Glennon is the QB of the future until he’s not, which could be at any moment… That statement could just as easily be a strategy to keep another team from jumping in front of them to draft the QB they really want, which could be the target at the top of round 2.

  69. Buc1987 Says:

Chris@Apple Roof Cleaning …but MANY teams passed on the future bust.

  70. Drew Says:

MG franchise QB of the future.

  71. Buc1987 Says:

feelthepewterpower…how would Cleveland know what the Bucs are thinking? If the Bucs wanted Manziel they would have taken him one way or another

  72. ToesOnTheLine Says:

Can’t wait to hear the bitching if the Bucs pass on a QB in round 2 & 3. The acceptance of MG8 by the same coaches who supposedly watched the film and determined Glennon can’t run Tedford’s speed in space offense (whatever that even is besides a nice word jumble until we actually see it) are now content to anoint Glennon the future. We will need a clever caption under that picture of Schiano and Glennon Joe loves to use…maybe Lovie sees greatness in you too my son

  73. Greg Says:

Yeah, because Stork has played 13 more games in the NFL than JF (mediocre games at that), you MGMers think this a-hole is better than a guy like Manziel who only played (and excelled) against the toughest conference in the country? Please, spare me, Glennon is a loser back up and will always be a loser back up! But L&L are our saviors- I say they better win right away, otherwise can their asses too for being stupid for passing on a proven winner!

  74. TpaBayFlyFisher Says:

This is why the Bucs are losers……

  75. rayjay1122 Says:

I think becoming a spectator instead of a fan is the best bet for my sanity. This franchise is a debacle.

  76. Architek Says:

LOLOLOLOLOLOLOL – I’m glad this is over

  77. ToesOnTheLine Says:

And the angry drunks start coming out :-) chill Glennon haters there’s still plenty of draft left, you may get your wish. Give the Mob our due tonight and tomorrow we can bash each other during rounds 2 & 3

  78. Paul McCartney Says:

All we did was fill the gaping hole left by Mike Williams departure. We needed a speedster anyway.

  79. Andrew 1 Says:

Haven’t visited this site nearly as much as I used to, but no way in hell was I going to miss this day lol. Joe Joe Joe, first off let me offer me sincere and utmost sympathy. By now you must be griping a pillow with Johny boys picture taped to it, sobbing helplessly and corresponding it ever so gently. I understand, your boy toy wont be able to give you those one on one private and seductive interviews that you were so desperately seeking, but dont worry, you’ll find love again. After that, all I got to say is… HALLELUJAH!!! wont have to worry about that pos in a bucs uniform.

  80. rayjay1122 Says:

We will have an average defense and a lousy offense. I won’t be sweating my ass off in the stadium watching that crap this year. Thank goodness for the NFL red zone channel so I can see some real football on Sunday afternoons.

  81. lurker Says:

poor trades by bucs…mike williams and jeremy zuttah. they have us pigeonholed.

  82. Orca Says:

No shortage of d!cks and complainers on this board.

  83. lurker Says:

    minny gets a qb

  84. Drew Says:

The MG mob sees Lovie’s franchise QB comments as a vote of confidence. Wile the MG haters see it as a smoke screen.

  85. lurker Says:

orca…wtf do you think all these comments have been about since the beginning?

  86. rayjay1122 Says:

Whatever killer whale. Takes one to know one.

  87. Andrew 1 Says:

And with that, Joe has just become a closet Cleveland Browns fan.

  88. Buc1987 Says:

ToesOnTheLine…I’m near drunk and I’m as happy as clam. Others may be angry and upset, because that’s what happens when you read NON STOP articles about the next Superman. After awhile you tend to believe. That’s called brainwashing. No Joe did NOT intentionally brainwash these fans, but I think that’s what happened with some of them.

Teachers in the old days used to make you write on a chalk board over and over the same thing when you got in trouble. Why? So you never forgot it. I liken that to what Joe did to us on JBF, over and over again.

  89. ElioT Says:

Greg… Leave! The Bucs don’t need you.

    Go Bucs!!!!

  90. zam Says:

so the NFL collectively said that Johnny Football’s success was due more to Matthews and Evans. Interesting.

  91. JFat Says:

Too much risk for a new GM to bet his career on a guy like manziel, delusional to think they would take him at 7 or give up needed picks this year to get back in the first for him. Evans is safe and has a perfect mentor with vjax. 6’5″ 230 4.5 speed, great hands, I’ll take it. If you aren’t happy with mccown / glennon, wait till the draft is over before you grab your pitchforks, its embarrassing reading some of these comments.

  92. Back, from Davie Jones Locker Says:

    {Sigh}
Things that might have been . .
Evans is a great pick, and will give McCown 2 huge mismatches!
Now, if we can just get Tommy Streeter( on our roster, 6’5″) to play slot Reciever, and TE Steve Maneri(6’7″) to catch- Bam!! Giant Recievers, and potentially decent basketball team! Lol

  93. Back, from Davie Jones Locker Says:

Defensive backs would need step ladders!

  94. Piratic Says:

On a side note, Bushmills stock remains unchanged. Not surprising, at least to me, because all along I’ve believed that Joe (as former newspapermen) knows how to fan the flames, and the success of JoeBucsFan.com proves it. Well done, gentlemen.
Personally, I feel very fortunate that it ended up this way. If JF had been drafted by the Bucs, this site would have been forever changed. Joe would have been incorrigible!

    GO BUCS!!!

  95. Buxfan Says:

That’s why teams pay for scouts. I knew from the very beginning Johnny would fall in the draft. Said it back in February. He’s too reckless as a pro QB. And if it wasn’t for the Browns owner believing in pink ponies and skittles filled rainbows. Johnny would have fell out of the first round. Now the new coach for the Brown will be forced to start Johnny. Smh!

  96. BarberBucFan Says:

Are you guys even thinking? You put Jjax and Evans on one side and a speedster on the the other. Then you have Dougy sitting in the the backfield. What is your defensive game plan? The only problem I have is do we draft another weapon in a tight end or a guard? Lets go nuts and draft Marquis Lee and Draft a guard in every round after?
