The Full Grilling Of Josh McCown

April 16th, 2014

josh mccown 0311Enjoy this unedited 17-minute audio of Josh McCown facing the Tampa Bay media Tuesday at One Buc Palace.

The Bucs’ starting quarterback was circled by media types and grilled and drilled by the local pen and mic club on various topics. It’s a great way to learn how the leader of the offense handles himself.

Joe’s in the mix asking McCown about his leadership approach, meeting the college QBs coming in for visits, and more.

Over and over in my head.

That being said………..We are the Bucs afterall

  3. gatrbuc17 Says:

We gave away Steve Young for Vinny Testaverde.
Ive been in the stands since 1976

A champion is built from the inside out. Everyone knows this. This team has holes like a Swiss Cheese. To think we are one qb away is foolish. Keep building, and we’ll get there.

I was born in 1985….I didnt have to see us give away steve young for testeverde. It would be a shame if we give up on a qb we have it would be a shame

There with you since 76…..amazing how we went from laughing stock in 76-77 to hosting NFC Championship in 79….we can turn it around and actually, we can do it mostly with defense……done it before.

Glennon isn’t good I’m glad lovie and licht seem to agree draft a real qb and send glennon to whoever u can for a 4th round pick.

Glennon is way better than this alter boy. I think Lovie did him a favor giving him good money and a position that is his to lose. I have no confidence that this guy can suddenly become what he’s never been. It’s easy to see, Glennon is not a happy camper, but he saw first hand how not to deal with this kind of situation last season.

if Lovie and Licht simply don’t like Glennon then they need to ship him. He deserves a true chance to compete and earn another starting gig. A team like the Giants would probably be interested. But all I really would like to see is a good old fashioned QB competition. McCown, Glennon and a draft pick…. Put the pressure on these guys early and it’ll be easy to see who really gives you the best chance to win.
