Your Buccaneers’ 2014 Preseason Schedule

April 9th, 2014

bucs cheerleader 1117For obsessed fans like Joe, today’s news is fantastic news. Confirmation that a football game is less than four months away will soothe Joe for at least a couple of hours.

As usual, the preseason schedule was issued this afternoon without exact dates and times for all games, only specifying opponents and locations.

Updated: The Bucs will open the 2014 preseason in Jacksonville, likely Friday, August 6, followed by Miami at home, then a Mike Williams reunion in Buffalo for the always-important third preseason game. Tampa Bay wraps up with Washington at home. That useless final matchup has been a tradition for years.

Specific dates and times will be released later.

Can’t wait for some kind of football to start, to see our new team shaping up.
So glad we got Lovie and Jason Licht, my God, look what they have done so far!
    Go Tampa!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  2. ToesOnTheLine Says:

So far they cut the best CB in football, traded away our only other good WR not named Vincent on the team, pinned their hopes on O-line on guys with minimal starting experience or coming off a toe injury. I am glad you are confident in the two of them so far, I truly wish I felt the same. Hopefully the Bucs have a great draft that addresses team needs

Back off fellas! I’ve already made my cheerleader visit reservation!

    I agree with ToesOnTheLine.

I’m not sold that signing a bunch of injury-prone players and scrubs and camp fodder is going to solve much.

I know we needed some changes, but I think in several instances there isn’t improvement.

@toesontheline – Revis came to florida to rehab and the rest were semi-productive players that yielded a 4-12 team. None were a huge loss.

  8. BucFan20 Says:

I am not sold either. We got pumped last year. Nothing looks any better. A coach that never had a good offensive record now hires an OC with no NFL experience. If this defense is even close to last year we better be able to score 27 to 31 points.
This year I will wait until we beat top teams. Not garbage teams.

@toesontheline – Revis came to florida to rehab and the rest were semi-productive players that fielded an underwhelming 4-12 team record. None were a huge loss.**

    Championship

  11. Eric Says:

Oh man the Jags is when we unleash the new unis?

That game is gonna be like a kaleidoscope.

  12. Westsidebucsfan Says:

News flash: the BUCS were 4-12 with all of those players you mentioned.

  13. ToesOnTheLine Says:

The Falcons went 4-12 last season so should they trade Julio Jones for a 6th round pick? Maybe cut Matt Ryan? Teams have bad years it happens. All my point was is I’m concerned that Lovie and Licht dumped some talent and have created some holes in the process. Unlike some I’m not as confident that the team is better yet, nothing more nothing less

  14. Buc1987 Says:

ToesOnTheLine…my thoughts verbatim. I think they are over doing it. Kind of like putting too much salt in the soup. I hope I’m wrong of course. I’m not expecting much from 2014 at all so far.

    Diggity Dang!
