“Looking To Take You Apart”

December 14th, 2013

There’s nothing quite like a good NFL Network “Playbook” Xs and Os preview look at a Bucs game.

Click here for the Bucs-Niners edition. There’s plenty of gushing about the 49ers from Sterling Sharpe and Shaun O’Hara, but Brian Baldinger is all about the Bucs defense. He’s jacked up about the Bucs’ 15 interceptions in the past six weeks.

Baldinger goes to film to show how, he believes, pure intimidation over the middle by Mark Barron led to one interception against Buffalo. “They’re looking to take you apart in the middle,” Baldinger said. He also dives into Bucs’ zone defenses and the reading ability of Dashon Goldson.

Sharpe and O’Hara call a Niners win, but Baldinger is all over the Bucs, believing Colin Kaepernick will have a troubling day.

What I’m most concerned about is how our offense will play. I think that will really decide the game. If we can’t resolve our 2nd half scoring woes then this will be a difficult game to win.

Defense will win this contest. While I don’t want to see any player injured, I want to see Goldson come out and smoke these guys. GO BUCS!!!

There has got to be some benefit to all the hard hits and personal fouls earlier in the season…..recievers are human and even if it’s subconscious….it has an effect.
I wish our Dline played with the same intensity…

I have total faith in our defense but none in our offense.

It has to say some to the glazers that schiano has been able to turn the team around from where we were to having a legitimate shoot against the defending nfc champs. I think if we make it close and show that we’re well coached and well matched against a powerful nfc opponent then the glazers have to give him another shot to see how he does with his offense back on the field and no media circuses and quarterback controversies to take away from building a winner. Playing well against Seattle and new orleans earlier this year and San Francisco

Typing on a phone sucks…… Would show that we’re ready to compete now and a refine change would only throw that into upheaval. I’m not as quick to see Sullivan stick around but he did have a stout offense last year and his group is the one most hurt by injuries so I wouldn’t throw a fit if he got a pass for this year as well, although I think schiano wants mcnulty in there

    LOL at Baldi.
“Are you done? Are you guys done other there with your little 49’rs jerk fest?”

I hope he’s right and the defense keeps rolling along. The real question is what is the Tampa offense going to do? Maybe we can win 6-3 in OT.

If we play like we did against the Seahawks, we got a chance. Our offensive line dominated for a good portion of that game.
