Trying To Stop Lavonte David

December 13th, 2013

Lavonte David is in the 49ers’ heads. From this CSN Bay Area report by Matt Maiocco, the 49ers have a plan to try to stop the Bucs’ great linebacker. Good luck.

    NO FLY ZONE!!!

Watch out for F-22’s, which are also called raptors,
which are also known as Hawks.

    Go Bucs!

Sounds like a recipe for: “Holding on the offense, 10 yard penalty, repeat 1st down”

I can’t get the audio or video of this type of article though I would like to read or listen to it. Frisco may prepare to neutralize or curtail David’s impact this Sunday, but no way no how will he be stopped from contributing to the Bucs defensive effort.

Stop LVD…..what by putting Kaepernick on him?…how about Gore or Davis?….those are the only players with enough speed to follow him around…..lots of luck!!!

  6. Tampabaybucfan Says:

Oh…by stop him, they mean after he has an interception or fumble recovery…in that case there may be several that can make the tackle….

  7. Patrick in VA Says:

@alexstotle – forgive me if this should be common knowledge that i just don’t know, as it seems like you’ve referenced it before in a post i haven’t read, but where did that grading system come from?

  8. Gus Says:

One does not simply STOP Lavonte David….

  9. Biff Barker Says:

Their answer is Frank Gore. Kapernick is not going to be putting the ball up as much.

  10. Bucsfanfromtexas Says:

Then we have to stop Frank Gore

  11. SteveK Says:

    Alexstotle,

Where is the point stream from? Wow, another monster game or three and he’s it a chance.

It’s laughable to see that LvD isn’t getting any pro bowl love.

In my lifetime, I never though I’d see the second coming of Derrick Brooks. Wowsa!

  12. PRBucFan Says:

He wasn’t in the last poll I saw. He was ranked 9th in the polls for OLB’s.

    Smh

On Kap doesn’t need to throw LD will be there to stop Gore too.

It’s a point system, not 100% accurate but it’s pretty close, it has Watt on Top
Brooks on top with those TDs. And now Lavonte is on top. Statistically no one can argue that he doesn’t do serve it, maybe if he made 2 TDs it would be on more ESPN but unfortunately he still is unknown everywhere other than in Tampa
