Why Chip Kelly Turned Down The Bucs

December 4th, 2013

OK, Joe is posting this in the middle of the night because he just ran across this and spent the past 10 minutes laughing.

As most Bucs fans know, current Eagles coach and then-Oregon coach Chip Kelly agreed to be the Bucs coach and hours later, reneged, stayed at Oregon one more year before taking the helm of the Eagles.

Well, Joe just found out why. Below is video surveillance of the Bucs hotel where Team Glazer and Bucs rock star general manager Mark Dominik stayed and met with Kelly for interviews.

Joe hates to have to point out that this is purely satire.

    That is great!!!

  2. Ricky Bobby Says:

Yeah, this has been on PR for several months as one of the posters’ signatures. [Well, that’s news to Joe. Joe doesn’t appreciate being called a liar. — Joe]

So I’ve been staring at that gif for a minute now, and all its showing me is that Chip Flakey cant make up his mind.

He cost our franchise a good few weeks (almost a month) in finding a new coach and staff… (which is why we settled on…ehh)

I never really liked the Eagles… Cause I’m a Real Bucs fan.. But Now……its personal…. (Like Joe tellin us not-to-get-personal-with-Clear-Channel personal..) As far as I’m concerned, Chip Kelly killed JFK, and he made billions off the Real Estate crash.

    F*** Chip Kelly..

  4. PRBucFan Says:

    That was classic!!! A hahahahaha

Smart man he is and I’m sure that’s exactly what happened ;) lol

    Good ole free free

  5. Luther Says:

Good enough reason for me. Freeman can’t beat out an empty potato chip bag right now and stealing money at that.

  6. PhantomVash808 Says:

Thats funny. If Schiano isn’t the coach next year at least we can thank him for getting rid of Josh Freeman. Imagine if the Bucs gave Freeman a contract extension.

@Upgrayedd yeah Chip Kelly even played the Cleveland Browns last year just to get more money from the Eagles.

  7. Upgrayedd Says:

Freeman is as relevant as…. Well you know what I’m talkin about PR.. In other words, why even bring him up? It’s like trying to get at me about Daddy Yankee…. No one gives a sh** bruh.

  8. Upgrayedd Says:

“Freeman can’t beat out an empty potato chip bag right now and stealing money at that.”

Dude is stackin $10 mill… riding the pine. All adderalled the f*** out.

  9. stratobuc Says:

Wouldn’t want him. So Schiano was willing to fight through the Freeman sewer? Good for him. He’s the better man.

    Go Bucs!

  10. PRBucFan Says:

The animation is about free hence the free convo.

    Free sucks, end of story

  11. Upgrayedd Says:

    @PR,

right… and our whole coaching-search-debacle really didn’t impact the outcome of our franchise.

  12. PRBucFan Says:

Nothing you say changes the waste of time and resources used that was that scrub Free Free.

Let go Freemanite, let go ;)

  13. BuccaneerBonzai Says:

I realize emotions here are high against Freeman but I wish the kid well. At his age there is plenty of room to grow.

Tampa will never have an elite QB until they develop a better culture amongst the organization and the fans.

  14. stevek Says:

    Bonzai,

We can get an elite QB. Freewee was the worst.

  15. Oil Derrick Brooks Says:

I hope he BLOWs all of his unearned millions. I doubt he will ever REHABilitate his image.

  16. Mr. Patrick Says:

I love it! Could you imagine Freebow trying to run that offense? It would be on the NFL blooper reel every week

  17. Couch Fan Says:

Lol To funny and sadly it probably did go something like that

  18. BucsFan68 Says:

Josh Freeman is gone, never to return. The Freeman bashers
telling the Freeman supporters to let go, need to stop bringing
him up. I hope he does well in the future. Wishing him or anybody else
ill or continually posting insulting comments about the man speaks
to the character or lack there of on the posters’/bloggers’ part.

You claim to be a long time fan, so I don’t know how you can make such an inaccurate statement like that…on both counts.

  20. Oil Derrick Brooks Says:

I guess I have poor character. I think, after receiving tens of millions of dollars in income from the Bucs, that he purposely tanked his tenure here. He wanted out, and did whatever it took to get out. If you want to talk about poor character, let’s talk about his, as well.

Screw Freeman. I hope he goes bankrupt.
