Warren Sapp Unleashed

November 7th, 2013

Bucs icon Warren Sapp dropped by One Buc Palace yesterday and held court with the local pen and mic club, regaling all who would listen with stories about the Hall of Fame, having his jersey retired Monday night, how Richie Incognito dropped the N-word on him in a game, how offensive linemen are cattle and just as important, the 2013 Bucs.

Sapp went on a fiery sermon about how he thinks in some ways, current defensive tackle Gerald McCoy is better than he is, and how he had a sitdown with Bucs commander Greg Schiano, hoping to convince Schiano to change his defense in order to allow GMC to get to the quarterback better.

“I’m not going to turn a blind eye,” Sapp said of his recent harsh comments about how the current coaching staff uses cornerback Darrelle Revis and GMC. “It’s nothing personal. I’ve always called a spade a spade. That’s why I have the job I have.”

Sapp went on to say how much he loves the Bucs and the Bucs will forever have his heart noting that the better the Bucs play, the more his legacy with the franchise lives on.

This is vintage Sapp. Emotional, passionate, loud, opinionated, over-the-top, speaking from the heart, no holds barred. It why he does such a wonderful job working for the NFL Network.

Great post! Thanks for the audio.
I’ll be there for MNF. I would not miss that game.

To hear Sapp say that GMC is probably better than him and he is not being used properly sucks. I feel robbed of quality entertainment as a fan.

It’s like having a steak dinner at a restaurant but its been serve to you still frozen. The worse part is that the chef (coaches) swear that it will create the experience desired.

So much talent wasted… Can we fast forward please???!!!!

Maybe Sapp could be a DC? Would love to see how he would roll the defense! Yep huge fan! Have 4 jerseys in each color even though we never wore the black on game day. Had to watch Raiders games when he left. That dude put true emotion in the game. A joy to watch!

I love Sapp, his jersey was my first and I still wear it during some games. But even under the conditions, the Bucs will find a way to lose this one too! (Now watch them win since I said they’ll find a way to lose…..hardy har har!!!!)

I can’t see this team winning a game the way they are playing. We’ve seen them play not to lose last week. Playing safe offence will not work with this defence. The DC has proven over and over again. If the other team has the ball late in the game. They drive down the field and score…with ease. Up 21, we all knew we will still lose haha. I beileve in conservative offences, but not with this defence. They are horrible, we are stuck with Goldson. Revis will get another year to prove he can get back to an elite CB. Right now he’s not even top 10. The money he makes plus the fact that he’s a locker room cancer. He has to be the best CB in the NFL next year. I could see him make 4M in 2015 somewhere else. I believe Goldson was the anti-Schiano ring leader from the get go. Bad situation a cancer that because of his contract is uncuttable. I’m a Schiano guy, I believe the player’s should do whatever the coach tell’s them. No question’s asked. I’m discusted at these Buc player’s for not manning the heck up and playing football. 30 ago men were men. These 20 something male’s of today are weak. They are a product of the “express your feeling and emotion’s era”. 30 year’s ago there wasn’t even such thing as cancer’s in the locker room’s. Back then player’s shut their pie hole and but there toes on the line. With a smile on their face. Glad just to be playing pro football.
