Trade Wright if we can. He’s going anyway right? As for Revis, well I’m agreeing with RustyRhino on that issue. It hurts us going forward. Say we did bring in Revis at the expense of 2014 1st round pick and Josh F is inconsistent again, we finish 6-10.

With no 1st rounder how can we look at replacing him through the draft? We have to assume that the reason Josh hasn’t had a contract extension is that the New Order is giving him another year to prove his worth (or lack of), so what then?

With this uncertainty we need to hold our first rounders, both this years and next.

And for the people talking about the Sapp/Booger comparisons. I think Star and Floyd are the best DT’s obviously but Richardson is the most comparible to Booger type. And by no means am I saying pick Richardson I’m just going by the “if we take a DT at 13 talk”.

The more I see and hear from the draft “guru’s” the more you are correct. The heart scare is not as worrisome as it once was. There was talk last night of Star going top 5. And I easily see that happening. Sheldon Richardson is the more likely candidate at 13

Why does everyone keep thinking star is going to fall to us at pick 13. That’s crazy talk he is going to go #1 overall if not there then definitely top 5. Bucs fans just pick whoever they want not a realistic option for us. Come on son

teacherman777, on DT. I agree. I think that is the way they are going…although I think there is a possibility they take DJ Hayden at 13 and a DT in the second. Could go either way. I’m leaning toward DT though.

It is getting close to time to shat or get off the pot. As much as we need a CB I’m not so sure Regis is the long-term answer. Giving up this years first or next years first only puts us without the first round talent from having no picks in the first round. We did this to get coach Gruden it hurt the team for several season. And ultimately cost coach Gruden his job. I would rather take my chances with the first round picks than worry about $ issues with Revis.

The Best case scenario with Wright is to offer him as trade bait to Miami, and swap first round picks. As of right now Miami is leaning towards drafting a CB with their first pick and they are one position ahead of us. If for some reason we don’t land Revis we should be able to select the second best CB in the draft instead of Miami.

OK guys.

About our DT.

We are definitely targeting a DT in the first. Thats why we dont want to trade our 1st rounder. Because we can find a great DT at #13.

And another solod DT to go next to McCoy, would be like the time we drafted Booger McFarland in the 1st round to go with Sapp.

Sapp had his best years alongside Booger.

We need a new Booger. Lolz.

But if, we have to trade this years 1st and a 4th and a conditional pick mextyear, depending on Revis’s play/health. Then I am down at this point.

Are you guys telling me, that if Revis was available in this years draft class,

He wouldnt be selected FIRST OVERALL?

Of course he would!

So, a pick at #13 is worth it.

Go Bucs!

Then draft another corner in the 2nd.

I mentioned about that very subject weeks ago. If we void Wrights contract and offer him another at a reduced price, he does not have to accept. He would be a UFA and can sign with whomever he chooses, which probably won’t be the Bucs. The only way they keep him for sure is to keep him under his original contract.
