The Bucs aren’t stupid? Apparently you also had your eyes closed during the Charlie Garner, Derrick Ward, Jeremy Stevens, Aqib Talibum, THC Jackson, Michael Clayton, Brian Brice, Myron Lewis . . . .fiascos.

That’s alot of time with your eyes shut.

It’s a huge gamble, on a guy that’s not even able to run yet.
It concerns me that, out of no where, the jets suddenly “let slip” that their best player is on the trading block. Why do they suddenly want to lose their best guy??

Meybe, just meybe, they know a little more about that knee injury than we do. The Bucs are willing to trade, sight unseen.

The jets get picks, Revis gets guarenteed money. And we are the owners of a lame horse. It is possible. The jets put in the big” we aren’t trading” act. The Bucs let every other good young CB sign elsewhere- and get desperate to sign him. It is a risk

If Revis is healthy, and signs a five year deal- he is worth a first round pick! He is the very best at his position. He is what you HOPE your draft pick may become. 15 mil is QB money- and that’s a concern

I’d get some kind of evaluation on him, before we sign anything. The press reports that the Bucs are the one team that is unconcerned about his knee injury. I think we should be

This is a joke. Don’t give up any picks for this guy bucs. Draft for best talent. Ok we get another season of XXit. So be it but don’t give away the future. This team with Revis is not going to super bowl. So why even consider a guy like this? Great at one time, damaged now.

I think since they are willing to give up next years 1st&2nd(2014) rd pick they should just give them this years 1st(2013). IMO they could move back into this years 1st round(2013) by trading next years 1st&2nd(2014) to a team like the Rams or Vikings who have 2 1st rd picks this year(2013).

I’m not dismissing the SB, wasn’t trying to anyway, merely using it as a point of reference. We gave up picks and cash for a coach, and yes we won a SB, but the goal is for continued success, maintaining that level of excellence and consistency. I’m pointing out that giving up those picks for Gruden, AND the bad drafting set us back years. I’m saying we can’t do THAT again. I’ll take year after year of making the playoffs over 1 SB and years of misery. At least I know we have a chance in the playoffs vs knowing we don’t without.

Revis wants too much money, which hampers the Bucs from signing and re-signing talent in the future. One player is not worth that kind of money, unless it’s a solid QB or an elite pass rusher. I would be just fine if the Bucs walked away from this deal. If the Glazers and Dominik are intent on acquiring Revis, they need to hold firm. They shouldn’t give up their 1st round pick this year. With no other viable trade partners in the fold, the Jets don’t have much leverage. A 1st round pick next year and maybe mid round pick this year or next.
