Also, when Freeman first started he was a come-from-behind QB. He was always having to try to win the game after other teammates blew it. Here he is scoring more points than ever, throwing for more yards than ever…and the defense DID blow the leads.

When throwing for so many yards, his arm must have gotten worn late in games…resulting in even worse accuracy. This rests on the defense mostly, partly on oline, and the rest on learning curve for the offense.

It was a new offense (again) and thete were player where key players ran the wrong routes or threw to the wrong places. That should improve in yesr 2.

It’s really funny, but while most of the posters here are thinking football 24-7, 12 months a year- the Players and coaches actually do take a few weeks off. I’m sure they were reviewing film all last season- during the season

Freeman had 3 games, where he threw 10 interceptions. Two games, he was forcing the ball- trying to keep our inept pass defense of the field.
One game- the defense was just ready for him.

If you check all the top QBs, every one has one bad game, where they throw multiple picks.

That’s why you don’t see to many 16-0 teams. Winning is tough in the NFL!

And no I don’t believe the week after a bad game or even a bad couple of games is enough time to accurately reflect on why something went wrong.

There was a particular pattern going on and you have to get out of it in order to see what was the cause.

I think we know what we have in freeman. If you can’t be consistent in the fl at qb then you’re going to have to find someone who can. People place a ton of blame Primarily on the defense but freeman was just as bad. One of the worst qbs on the nfl in 3rd down completion percentage. He’s not converting passes and extending drives. I still saw too many 3 and outs which put our defense in terrible positions.

Many want to place the defense at blame against the giants redskins falcons and eagles. Truth be told: freeman didn’t do anything to convert and extend drives. Resulting in 3 and outs putting more pressure on the defense.

Heck I remember against Denver the defense was playing stellar in the first 2 1/2 qtrs but freeman kept giving the ball back after back to back to back to back 3 and outs.

I think too many people place blame on everything else but freeman. I like the guy. Seems like a standup dude so I hope he puts it together. But for schiano and Dom’s safety , they better have a back up plan.
