Shayne – Who said they were good? If they were, wouldn’t there be more of a market for them? No one exactly clamoring for any of these people. There is a reason the Bucs are focused on REVIS even coming off ACL surgery. Now granted, average players like Sean Smith, DRC etc are better than what we have now, but ultimately guys that actually study film film for a living wanted nothing to do with these guys. That should tell you something more than a knee jerky fan reaction.

piss poor free agentcy signing by our front office no way the draft full fill all our needs> we need right tackle tight ends running back slot wr defensive end defensive tackles 2 of them outside linebacker 2 starting corners another corner to compete for depht total ten good players after the fourth round talent gets weak. only thing we did righ was signing a free safety.

Does the extra cap space roll over to next year?

If so,

Then I really like the idea of keeping extra cap space every year, and accumulating more for the following season.

We should be responsible.

We dont want to get mesed up like the Ravens.

They are done! They are going to need to rebuild all over again!

We dont ever want to be stuck without cap space.

Josh is a free agent next year, so we are either going to need to resign him, or draft anew one, or sign a FA. No matter what, we will need cap room to sign a QB.

So, no need to be all “jerry jones” and waste money on average FA CB’s.

Revis? Is worth it. Grimes? Maybe.
Anybody else?

Not impressed, if Bucs don’t get Revis and/or Grimes they better hit the lotto in the draft other wise outside of Goldson, this is very I impressive given the team needs. For a team that finished first in the run, they have lost the whole right side of the D, with Black, Bennett and Miller gone. Just a year ago they were the worst in the league at stopping the run, not that far removed.

Leonard Johnson u mean. And yes keep in mind if the trade doesn’t happen we are still in good position cap wise and draft position wise to be relivent this year and next

There is little doubt that the Dominator is going to make a deal, probably with the Jets. He’s playing cat and mouse. He got the one player we really needed in FA. We may still end up with Bennett, though that isn’t so important. I didn’t see a really good cornerback out there in Free Agency. Each one of them had question marks–and still do. The best bet is Grimes–if he’s healthy–and I think he’ll still be there this weekend. The haters are angry when we get a pro bowl player and pay too much (in their opinion) and then complain when we don’t sign mediccre talent. The NFL is all about talent and coaching. Most of these corners aren’t much better than Biggers and we don’t know how really bad the secondary coaching was last year, and how much Larry Johnson may improve with better coaching and a year under his belt.

If this guy could put up big numbers he would still be in Dallas. Just another mediocre signing that ads some depth but not much more. Hardly a difference maker, probably added just to make the receivers coach happy. Would love to be proven wrong, we’ll see.
